  1. I don't even understand what the issue is in the first place. You can't find an enemy to attack, so... press tab, or run into the middle of a new pack?
  2. Inf isn't even money in the first place and exists as an abstract resource, a number indicating your level of influence, information, or infamy. Think of it like a villain beating up a really high-profile hero, gaining infamy from it, and then using/spending that infamy to convince people to give them stuff.
  3. Literally the e-equivalent of sticking one's fingers in one's ears and going LALALA I CAN'T HEAR YOU.
  4. Options -> Controls -> Mouse -> Invert Mouse. When it's "normal", if you drag your mouse up, it points the camera down, and vice versa. Like piloting an aircraft. When it's "inverted", if you drag your mouse up, it points the camera up, and vice versa. Like most third person games do normally. This leads me to believe that the actual names of the selections are, in themselves, inverted.
  5. Gotta stay safe in the city in current_year.
  6. Human beings are inherently good-natured creatures; otherwise, we would not have a civilization. The issue is with the small numbers of people who are raised to harbor beliefs that come from ignorant and unstable backgrounds. You don't heal someone of their mental illnesses or poor social education by shutting them out or going on angry tirades about them. It just perpetuates the cycle of hatred.
  7. That's what Hover/Fly is for -- you go right overtop them and smash 'em into the ground. Not as effective as bunching them up against a wall, but you still get the benefit of enemies ragdolling and unable to attack.
  8. I mean, the problem isn't the buffs, the problem is the graphics of the buffs. Any reasonable defender, I think, would make their buff graphics as unobtrusive as possible. But there's always the occasional person that forgets to change their ice shields to minimal FX. There's no harm or shame in suggesting that they do so, and there's also no harm or shame in removing those buffs so that your personal experience of the game is improved as a result.
  9. Man, if you think they're the 4th Reich now, you should have seen what it was like just 30 years ago. You know, back when reading fantasy novels meant you worshipped Satan and you got AIDS from being gay. Suffice to say, things have steadily been getting better since ye olde days of ignorance and hate, and they will continue to, regardless of the fearmongering and hysteria that social media companies love to poison your mind with.
  10. I mean, you only get one extra power slot and pool choice out of the deal. This is a straight up "make builds more diverse and everyone happier" option. Literally nobody loses out.
  11. I like "kill 'em with kindness" better. After all: if the belief of your 'enemy' is that you are some kind of inherently evil creature, what does it tell them when you are nothing but polite and courteous in response to their attacks? What if everyone was nothing but polite and courteous towards those people, rather than vehement and hateful in kind? What leg would their beliefs have to stand on then?
  12. It does, yeah. Especially if you're playing a powerset in the early levels that only has one 'attack' set: scrappers, tankers, brutes, sentinels, stalkers, SoAs. City of Heroes' power mechanics are already pretty janky, and Hasten does well to lubricate that jank by letting people continuously use their powers without having to sit around and do nothing every couple of seconds.
  13. I think the issue is that you treat these people as some sort of primal, intrinsic evil, rather than what they actually are: people with serious mental issues and/or people who have grown up in bad environments. It's nurture, not nature -- and being hostile towards these kinds of people only reinforces their beliefs. That why I say that ignoring and hating people for their political differences or mental behaviours is toxic. It works both ways. Your hostility makes them more hostile. Try being nice instead.
  14. The knockback sets have some damage, but definitely not enough to be solo viable. After all, the primary focus is doing knockback. The build is incredibly useful to shore up weaknesses in teams similar to how controllers work -- if not better. After all, knockback is just a spammable hold. When enemies are flying around willy nilly, they can't fight back except for popping off maybe one power every few seconds. Since this build has no healing, it takes Vengeance for the inevitable scenarios in which enemies do decide to attack back and someone faceplants, and also for the extra LOTG slotting. The Resuscitator temp power is useful in this situation. I have had the occasional issue with teaming due to people's misconceptions about knockback being some ancient, insufferable evil, but the teams that do let me stick around either find it hilarious, legitimately helpful, or both. Did get reported for griefing and cussed out once, so this build may not be for the faint of heart.
  15. You seem really confrontational for some reason. What's the issue?
  16. I would argue that arbitrarily ignoring people for having opinions you don't agree with is probably the worst way to actually get them to change those opinions.
  17. I'd rather the developers focus their efforts on more important changes that the average people aren't actually capable of doing, like creating new content and rebalancing existing content. If the solution to your QoL problem is something you can do on your own with a couple hours of effort, then there's no reason to ask anyone else to do it for you.
  18. I don't like racists or kiddie diddlers either. But pretending they don't exist doesn't solve any problems. You don't 'win' the 'fight' against the 'evil nazis' by covering your ears and running away whenever they say bad words.
  19. I don't really see what that has to do with anything.
  20. Yeah, calling people nazis for having opinions you disagree with is pretty toxic.
  21. I dunno. Keen seems like a very average person and he seems to have no issue actually putting effort into it.
  22. Yes, nobody is questioning your right to perpetuate toxic behaviour.
