  1. The average person is perfectly capable of doing it; they're just unwilling to try.
  2. The purpose of this build is to provide a character that can perform a vital yet overlooked role in a team: that of tactical enemy repositioning. Everyone likes AoE attacks. They kill lots of things dead really quick. But the issue is that not all AoEs are created equal. Some are big, some are small. Some are wide, some are skinny. It's perfectly okay to have any kind of these AoEs, but in order to level the playing field for our radially-challenged friends, we need to be able to keep our enemies in a position where everyone can use their AoEs to equal effect. As such, I present to you the Pinball Wizard: a FF/Energy defender whose primary focus is doing as much knockback as possible in order to group enemies into corners/walls. Secondary focuses of this build include: crowd control (very effective in this case, as enemies can't do anything while they're flying through the air); team buffing (bubbles are always welcome), and damage (to a lesser degree, since knockback sets don't always provide the best damage buff.) I trust that the community will appreciate the effort I went through to test this build in random LFG teams. 3. I don't put anyone on global ignore period. Everyone has the right to speak their mind, even if it's something I disagree with.
  4. Easy* solution here: make all placeable objects in a base destructible during a raid (and have them revert to static objects when the raid is over). Then you could have fun literally blasting someone's base to pieces, no matter how much junk they stuff in the way to prevent you from raiding.
  5. Literally everybody uses this power (except for a few people who refuse to out of spite/protest) because they're pretty much obligated to in order to be viable or compete with other players who do have it. This means not only one less power that everyone could be taking but also one less power pool everyone can choose from. Kind of a steep price for something so ubiquitous. The last time something like this happened, it was with the Fitness power pool, and they eventually reworked that entire pool to be automatically granted to all players. There's no reason to not make Hasten an inherent power. No need to change anything else about it, just automatically give it to everyone at level 2 and keep everything else as is.
  6. I dunno, maybe I'm just used to it. Takes one second to cancel and I can do that in the middle of a power animation, even if people are wasting their time applying shields to teams that already have shields. No big deal for me.
  7. Sure it is. I've done it when people use those ugly ice shields on me. It takes all of, like, one second when they apply it.
  8. Making changes to the costume editing process is definitely possible given how we can have different gloves/boots on each limb now. Not to mention that it is technically possible with dbedit. I don't see any reason why we can't do this, or even, say, separate head details into "top of head, eyes, mouth, and chin/jaw" sections. Just wait until you see my chain-smoking bearded catgirl with double eyepatches.
  9. You can already do this. It's possible to cancel most temporary buffs like shields/etc by right clicking them under your health bar and selecting 'cancel'.
  10. Yeah, the problem is they don't like the animation. Which is fair, I guess. I don't like the big giant chunky ice block shields of Cold Domination. But hey, the buffs are nice, so I deal.
  11. Man, nobody tell the guys in this thread about the stuff they'll find in other powersets.
  12. To simplify things, use the base model of the Wolf Tail and redo the color pattern to be stripey. I just really like raccoons.
  13. When the Fitness pool was so ubiquitous as to where every build had to incorporate it to be viable, it was redesigned as an inherent set of powers. Maybe it's time to do the same with Hasten. No change to the power itself is necessary, as with Fitness; just make it inherent.

  15. The Agents of Ruin are perhaps the largest active redside supergroup. We're mostly Arachnos based, but you don't have to be a VEAT to join the group. Consider checking us out.
  16. The Agents of Ruin is an Arachnos Villain Group dedicated to representing Arachnos through some of it's best and brightest, and not the darkest and grittiest. Founded by the recently resurrected Ruiner, its mission remains the same despite his previous, unexplained disappearance. Despite being a part of the terrorist organization of Arachnos, this division under Ghost Widow comprises of many talented individuals in many fields for the sake of undertaking tough, never-ending missions to... RUIN THE PRESENT TO SAVE THE FUTURE ...which in turn is an attempt to ensure the world is Lord Recluse's for the taking, through fighting against the toughest, stubborn enemies who would oppose Arachnos, or perhaps those who would even destroy the world. The Council of Six, who together have the final word on the operations of the group, include: - Operative Ezekel, Human Resources (Wolf Spider) Overseer - Strike Captain Suul, Crab Spider Overseer - Magus Mustang, Mystical Arts Overseer - Seer Renault, Widow Overseer - Yohannes and Zayne, Bane Spider Overseers In addition, there are rumours of a mysterious shadow council known as the Hetairoi, consisting of: - Seer Camille, Acting Commander - Agent Solano, Crab Spider Webmaster - Agent Cameron, Bane Spider Scout Seek them out if you wish to be recruited, made a contractor, or an occasional ally, you will be screened for if you fit in with the sub-division, then sent toward one of our six overseers for whichever fits you. Join the official discord if you are interested in chatting with us. You don't have to be a supergroup member to come and say hello.
  17. On which occasions have I encouraged censorship? Please point me to specific posts.
  18. I, too, love to enforce censorship upon things that hurt nobody yet I personally dislike.
  19. Primary: Armor, Secondary: Pets, wouldn't be so bad in. But you would have to scale down the pet damage to Tanker levels so that Tankers aren't made irrelevant. Also AoE would still rip them apart, even moreso without buffs/debuffs.
  20. Nothing wrong with AE farms, they are one of the fastest and easiest ways to skip all of the low-level content that everyone has already done a thousand times over. The instances where "unwitting newbies are PL'd to 50 without knowing how the game works" are few and far between, and almost always happen from DFB runs, not from AE farms.
  21. You can get perma-hasten at around 150% or so recharge (including Hasten's 70%) if you slot it with two level 50 Recharge IOs and build Agility Core Paragon.
  22. This would make sense if they 1. weren't so common, and 2. didn't spawn only like, one mob at a time if you're solo.
