If they don’t want to be transparent, absolutely their right to do so, but if that’s what I need in a game dev group, then I also reserve the right to just dip. Also, I would never make a long winded goodbye post fab 😛 or a goodbye post at all, I’d just pull what I did with CO and dip quietly. Those long winded goodbyes are for community leaders(as it should be. Them leaving is heavily impactful to the game overall)

No I won’t. My time is also a privilege. If they decide to rescind theirs I rescind mine. You act like Xbox and PS5 aren’t popping off with games and top tier gaming PC’s aren’t becoming more common/Steam Deck isn’t popping off with its’ expansive and frankly amazing library. They don’t owe me anything but I sure as SHIT don’t owe them. Too many better options and too little time to be going back n forth or screaming into a void.

Its quirky, I like it. Will wait on reviews but it has Invincible in it which I’m a sucker for so it has that going for it for me.

It was very fun to run with you Projector through LGTF and Aeon 4*’s. My mind hasn’t changed on the nature of HMs and my main issue with them, but issues aside, it’s still pretty enjoyable if you’re playing with a group of neat folks.

OP, even though they seem to display serious narcissism and main character syndrome, it sucks that they got booted at the tail end of the TF. Which is weird. I don’t know if they were using GF all throughout the TF, and if so why not boot them at the beginning? Or if it were used in that one mish and then the incident occurred in which case OP subscribed to the FAFO method. Thats the only way I could see this being two sided, otherwise its pretty cut n dry.

The jokes write themselves with OP. I truly don't think they're capable of grasping they were wrong. Well subsequent boots and potentially being blacklisted from runs will result in more main character syndrome post like this, or them quitting. Either way this'll be interesting to watch for sure.

This response right here is just what I was talking about on the discord. People who have this main character syndrome and have no understanding or care for others then always acting like the victim. You fucked around and found out, pretty simple open shut right wrong case here. They asked you to stop, you thought you were better and said no, you found out. Pretty simple if you ask me. It’s not on them, it’s really all on you in this situation.

Also remember, the companies want you in game longer to peddle more microtransactions at you or boost their numbers for the bottom line. Which makes sense. That does NOT mean they will provide an actually enjoyable leveling experience. They'll probably just put a bunch of busy work lukewarm quest or missions that are some of the worst aspects of gaming personified(fetch quest, kill 100 boars in a forest, more fetch quest...). So if that's what y'all want go for it. It worked for WoW apparently, all those fetch quest and boar killing.

Its always interesting to see older gen talk about younger and vice versa. Im I believe on the tail end of Gen Z(born in ‘97, so I think that was the cutoff year?) And honestly I have complaints about both. A lot of older generations are surprisingly, or I guess I should really be saying if I were pessimistic unsurprisingly, impatient and incompetent. To the point that most of their whining stems from a projection of their own ineptitude in the matter. I.e blaming phones because no one wants to listen to yet another unfounded and unhinged rant from grandpa about X or Y political topic they didn’t research and are simply parroting from Z news network. Or in regard to being impatient, I have seen quite a few old heads being very “now now now!” Out in the world, way moreso than younger kids which is concerning. The rudest and most impatient irritating little shits have been old people(boomers and some early Gen X’ers). Yes, we get it, you’re on limited time but being a whiney ass annoying shit won’t make the car in front of you go faster or get you your food quicker. Neither will being rude. And the opposite, a lot of my generation has this weird ass thing for trauma bragging and kink sharing which makes dating abysmal. No, Susie, I do NOT want to hear about what happened to you at 9 on our first date nor do I want to know your 69 fetishes. The best thing you can do for yourself is download mids and build your own 50s on it. It’s straight from the source and is respectful to the creator’s playstyle…you! Seconding that grab a build from the discord. I don’t know about all the forums builds but a lot are operating on outdated philosophies when it comes to build design, or are just straight up strange(no hasten for a good number of em) and have absolutely no synergy to them. I personally build my own. I never share any of my newer builds because I don’t exactly know how and I don’t want to share my older builds as they’re outdated imo and I don’t play the toon as much.

Fast or slow is completely irrelevant. If your content is boring, leveling is abysmal. Trying to force me to take several months to get a max level toon via boring content will absolutely result in me quitting the game or more likely not even wasting my time playing it. There are two things I don't want out of any game, a girlfriend of a game(having to log in daily, do a bunch of chores, and be inundated with a bunch of ads and nonsense marketing aspects of the game im not interested in) and a slog of a game. I will NOT waste 40+ hours playing through literal shit. I will play a 40+ hour experience if it is amazingly well crafted and enjoyable with a satisfying gameplay loop. With how limited game time is, if there was a choice between what will most likely be a boring as hell shitty leveling experience in a MMO or an actually fun game on Xbox with ~25 hrs of content, I would choose the Xbox every single time. Or playstation. Either one.

Pop slump for sure will affect gaming, as we all get older and either have less time or ability to game, it’ll naturally fall to younger and younger generations to pick up the slack. If they’re not there, then the number’s will flatline or dip. Not into cataclysmic the world is doomed numbers but at least noticeably impactful dip. I unfortunately do not ever want children of my own so I won’t be passing on any gaming knowledge or skillsets to an immediate generation in that regard, so I’m no help in this matter.

I was watching a Youtuber who’s content I enjoy. This answers that. And also made me start looking at online opinions about games(especially the discourse surrounding Concord) a LOT differently.

Oh no, I’m a vet of ye olden days, been on HC since its re-launch. Just find the discussion surrounding difficulty intriguing in regard to the game 🙂 Appreciate the thought though

Hey there forum folk. I was talking in a discord subthread about CoH and it’s difficulty or perceived difficulty and I’m interested to hear what your thoughts are on the matter. Do you all find CoH difficult? Why or why not? What aspects, if any, do you think are difficult even if you’re a vet of the game or as a new player? Where in difficulty does CoH rank for you in your list of games that play? I want to know all the things! Please feel free to elaborate on these talking points and add some others in.

Do not do this. Brine is a major source of -res. The -HP is ehh whatever but it can add up too, but what you really want is the -res. Drop Shoal rush and soothing if you have to do, but do not EVER skip brine. Ever. Your mob to mob debuff is Whitecap, your ST debuff is brine. You need and want both.

Its in your best interest to form TFs. Lots of people don’t respond to tells for a myriad of reasons, which leads to irritation IME.
