If they don’t want to based on their trepidations with raid content I’d leave em be. I already played in on CB when it was being developed. It’s fun for me but I get others wanting to avoid it

Everlasting is, besides SoV on excel, pretty consistent with the Mo runs. But yeah, a combination of game changes, RL circumstances, and just general boredom in light of recent more interesting/better games coming out have caused a lot of people to drop CoH either forever or at least for several months/years

I’ll do my own summary: The forums being the forums. They gave you solutions, and what to say. what else did you want? An echo chamber? I don’t even know what the echo chamber would be at that point beyond the solutions provided

Well let’s see: In college, in between classes, and spending time doing college things with friends, I managed to get about 25 50s before graduating from relaunch organically playing anywhere from 2-6 hours semi sporadically(played at least 2-3 hours a day on some weeks minus exams and spur of the moment meet ups) I had a bit of downtime in 2022/2023 so I made a farmer and pumped out a lot of 50s on an alt account. Lots of hours played while I was looking for a new job. Now that I’m switching careers this year, I think I significantly slowed down, maybe only getting 3 50s thus far. Those 3 50s were farmed, so roughly 4-6 hours each?* *I may have made another 50, but for the life of me I can’t remember.

This is really a pretty good option. And I haven’t been clear on my stance; I don’t hate KB. I hate people who prioritize their own fun over others in a team setting even after being politely asked to not do so.

Normally the answer is no. But for Ultra Alt and people who think like them, the answer is yes sadly. Its why if you find someone trying to put their fun above others, use the boot button!

Well I hate to make you think its only Dark Souls. Hm, I should use other games true. Well how about Destiny. In Destiny the raids are actually very VERY difficult compared to CoH because they require a lot more coordination than the hardest content CoH could literally ever dream of. In particular, Salvation’s Edge. My argument isn’t also so much about the immediate difficulty, it was poorly articulated I give you that. My argument is that a good number of people using “git gud” and “skill issue” especially in a game like this don’t realize that it really actually can’t apply here. There’s so much to do and so little comparison between what you choose to do that how does one even “git gud”? How do I git gud if I’m a RPer and don’t care about HM, as an example. I was actually more arguing FOR the people than against. My usage of Dark souls and soulslike games is to say basically to those who give others a hard time about their perceived superiority in CoH and a “skill issue”, that this game doesn’t have some uber high unobtainable skill ceiling and you aren’t nearly the hot shit you think you are. There’s very little “skill” to me in this game that can’t be learned in a few weeks or months time. And absolutely NO skill that makes you hot shit compared to others. Also 500 DPS isn’t meant to be literal. I can’t believe I have to say that but it is 2024 so… As an aside I personally play solidly in the middle of the spectrum. Skilled enough to make the builds and minmax the goals I want to chase, and form HM 3 ITFs and keep up on 4* runs, but not so uber skilled that I can literally break down the math of each power using arcana time. Or lead hammi raids, I totally have and can lead iTrials but that was back in ye olden virtue days

While I agree with your assessment I just had to pick these two out as I find it hilarious. This is CoH, you smack your head on the keyboard and end up with 500 dps. There is no skill in this game, there is no git gud. That can be said for games with REAL hurdles and challenges, not this weenie hut juniors ass MMO. And even there, I never say it. I dunno, just seems kinda infantile to me to go ‘git gud’ even if the sentiment may be true, instead I offer help. But thats way off course of the topic. OP, none of the suggestions seem like necessary QoL changes imo. It seems you may just not like the game.

To me it seems disingenuous. Obviously people play like you. Sure, depending on the time of day it’ll be lite or maybe there’ll be more of an immediate spam of endgame stuff, but it’s still stupid easy to put a team together for regular content And the bit at the end, while not passive aggressive was…for an extreme lack of words almost pouting? I don’t think OP forms teams, or they would quickly realize how easy it is to pit ateam together for the slow n steady method of leveling

It’ll be awhile before anything being worked on is close to open beta, but there is stuff being worked on yeah. Obviously can’t talk about it but just thought I’d give a reason why getting into the beta would be difficult

I think right now apps are closed because there have been a number of leaks from folks(I think? Not sure) and until some stuff is cleared up with the rules it won’t be open. But it will open back up!

Thats not what I’ve seen. It depends on time of day and patience of course but I mean you can form an old school team in ~10 minutes on a good day and maybe 30 to an hr on a bad. I would know, I have 25 old school 50s and the rest from PLing myself.
