  2. Well TW is only the top performer for one AT, so if it's nerfed/reworked by just lowering damage and tweaking momentum, resulting in lower performance/DPS then Tanks and Brutes will needlessly pay a price for nothing.
  3. You're right it is not suggested or implied, he clearly stated "a mechanics change." Changing momentum would strip Titan Weapons of it's most unique characteristic, its individualism and turn it into something else. Either it will be a new unique mechanic or may just become another War Mace/Battle Ax.
  4. yes just clone tidal forces, or something else already used elsewhere, wait I know just turn whirling smash into whirlwind with damage. Seriously though it's in the name "TITAN Weapons", it makes sense that it takes some time to build up momentum as one swings a massive object.
  5. just what little they are saying. Someone whines about about momentum and then a GM points to " mechanics change to Momentum" But I suppose you're right it's baseless.
  6. "Rework" seems to be code for fundamentally changing it's nature and stripping it of uniqueness. As I said before, but it is worth repeating, Momentum is not a QoL issue, not even in the slightest. It is a characteristic that gives the set uniqueness, and gives a feel that is thematically appropriate.
  7. Yeah I wonder why, if TW is sooooo OP, it does not dominate in many settings such as farming, on speed teams, etc.??? What? Yeah tell that to all the people who wouldn't run X or Y without a healers. Maybe it wasn't actually needed, but it was the perception. And perception is king (sometimes anyway). Not only that it's what they desired, like their security blanket.

  9. What's Breath of Fire? lol Thankfully you don't have to and really can't take every power, so having a dud like BoF is no biggie, it's complete rubbish. Even the vaunted TW has skippable powers. Still any lead that TW has in performance (and one set has to lead) pales in comparison to the need underperforming sets need to be buffed.
  10. I just pointed out that you weren't considering all aspects. Also what data sets are you using when you say, "Fire Blast isn't that far ahead of the next best ranged set, while Titan Weapons - annoying mechanics aside - has a wider performance gap between it and second place"?
  11. Titan Weapon is the fighter, who if he came make it through training camp and cut weight (ie people still want to play after leveling) can perform as a class leader (about 11% faster than the number one contender Claws)
  12. this was shared earlier in the thread (page 8 if you want more details). As you can see Fiery Melee didn't perform well here. And was second to last using just SOs. Not that surprising if you look at the DPA of Fiery Melee attacks compared to those of other sets. +3/5 with a mid-level IO build and with WP as the secondary.
  13. It's not like I am saying that Fiery Melee runs mish X at speed Y. I think you are fully capable of looking up hard numbers like activation times and power damage numbers. /e jokingly: Aren't you? (please say yes so I can maintain to foster hope in humanity)
  14. first of all only tanks get two PBAoEs, +1 Cone and all are long animations. Personally only Fire Sword Circle is worth it. Fire Breath's range is too sort, it's cone is too narrow and has bad dpa/dps, same with Combustion. The damage is just ok, which sucks because it has no mitigation, no secondary effects.
  15. agreed, but the timers could be extended slightly to make them more strategic, but I was always against the crash (in every power)
  16. A) People would stop playing tanks, and roll Brutes instead B) I suppose veng bait is always nice C) How about make nukes taunt all affected mobs D) People would just start skipping Snipes again, and Elec Blast would really suck again. E) Why not scrappers, stalkers, FF buffers, VEATS, etc?
  17. Well it wouldn't have to be so specific, just a mixed bag of tricks. Or maybe they all want to see more mid-TF/SF Reichsmans KO them all.
  18. Blaster's get a worry-free sustain, and hiccup-free incarnate power activation. If someone in playing TW/Bio, TW/Rad, TW anything but SR or Willpower their chains get broken and momentum is sacrificed by activating defensive and all are impacted when activating incarnate powers.
  19. Yes PSW was more powerful in the beginning, but Drain Psyche was the only Heal/Sustain type power available for Doms in it's Primary/Secondary sets. W/O Drain Psyche no one would have been farming with Doms with or without a more powerful PSW. And it was similar for Blasters at its debut.
  20. momentum is fine and thematic and unique, I hope it's not messed with. And it only outperforms on 1 AT, scrappers. So please don't hurt Brutes and Tanks for something that is j no more OP than Nukes

  22. of course they became popular, they were they only blaster with a sustain ability at that time. The same reason why /Psionic Assault Doms were and are popular.
  23. As I said elsewhere above, that's really only scrappers so please be careful and not screw Brutes and Tanks. "But TW isn't one such build. Running on fast moving teams so much stuff is dead before I can even build momentum. I have to literally go rogue or scout ahead to really go through attack chains, or wait for an AV.
  24. honestly I think that Blasters are doing fine. They are not force multipliers like buffers/debuffers so they should be way ahead in damage. And even with sustain I still use may a blaster as veng bait, tyvm. Now Dominators should be in the same boat, but the have been left behind for now. There ability to pump out damage should be increased for similar reasons. Just up their performance, no other changes needed.
