Joined a PUG running a Posi 2 around a year ago. At the start of the first Faultline mission, someone said “afk, gotta grab lunch” - thinking they were grabbing something out of the fridge. We finish the mish, they are still inside. We wait around for roughly 15 minutes (why? I don’t know). He comes back and says something about a line at the drive thru. Sorry idiot apparently went out to get something and bring it back while we waited. Wish the leader would have kicked him. No, I don’t have an answer as to why I stuck around.

I don’t think it’s the same FX studio - back then it appeared as if Marvel understood the importance of how the CGI looked. Was it perfect? No, but it still looked great 99% of the time. Ive seen a couple different stories lately about why the FX has gotten so bad. First, there are reports that money/resources were pulled from Quantumanis in order to work on Wakanda Forever. They thought that was a bigger and more important franchise, so they reallocated funds. Second, and more fascinating is the firing of Victoria Alonso. There had been stories over the last 2 years that FX Studios we’re not given enough time on projects, and being lowballed when it came to cost. Victoria was in charge of this aspect of the movies. There are also now reports that she treated the FX Studios like garbage. If they didn’t kiss up to her, they were removed and their work piled on other Studios already with a full workload. Don’t know how true this is, but it kinda goes along with the reports of being lowballed/overworked. Will the CGI issues now be resolved? I damn sure hope so, but that’s not the only issue the MCU is facing right now. Too much content - and it’s really the same content. I believe after Endgame, they should have done a press release stating the Avengers stories were done for now. Forget about them and that universe. “We are starting new” and then go on to build up the next team - XMen, Alpha Flight, FF, whomever. Just move away from Avengers and that whole universe. After 30 movies, I just don’t think the General Audience are excited to hear about another Avengers movie/project. Give them something new to anticipate. Bad Writing - I think they’ve gotten lazy due to the early success. They got to the point of thinking the audience will but whatever they are selling because of the brand. Now that the general audience isn’t, they don’t know how to fix what’s already been planned out.

I didn’t think it was anywhere near as bad as certain people say it is - definitely not Eternals or Thor Love & Thunder bad. For me, the biggest issue I had was the CGI was distractingly bad in parts. As for needing to see it, I would say yes since Marvel seems to have gotten to the point that every movie ties in with something later on. Of course there’s nothing coming immediately, so you could get away with waiting for D+

How does someone play a toon all the way to 50 before deciding they don’t like it? Usually I know by the time I’ve completed my first Posi TF - so around lvl18

I respec and fix. Then I look through my other toons to see if I made the same mistake, and respec them. Ive found myself spending hours fixing some crazy decision I made months ago. Just one more thing to add to the enjoyment of this wonderful game

Okay, I’m curious - how many do you have to collect in order to get the badge? As for the SG - sorry to hear it’s pretty much disappeared for you Snarky. I remember when you would brag about them in seemingly every post on here, so I know you enjoyed being a part of it. Have you put any thoughts in running the show/organizing events ?

For the record, I love the “Pitch Meeting” videos. Been working my way though all of them recently.

Was standing around in PD around a week ago, when I noticed someone “Ororo Monroe” who looked just like Storm asking for a farm in LFG. After a few seconds, the name changed to generic and the costume disappeared. First time I had actually seen the change as it happened.

Also seems funny that people will defend non players, over actual players I mean, they cant defend themselves because they NO LONGER PLAY

I’m just gonna say that I know of around 35 awesome names that will not be released….because I still play them regularly 🙂

2 million accounts. I’d bet that if you add up the total players so far in 2023, it doesn’t equal 2 million. Now, just to be clear. I only posted that to show that there will be more than a few dozen, or even a couple hundred names released (which is what was being speculated). Whether you like it, or even agree with it - I don’t care. I was simply pointing out what had been posted elsewhere.

Ok, found what was actually said “There are over TWO MILLION characters in our database. Only a fraction of those have been played in the last week. I don't want to get much more specific (such as going into numbers of accounts and such), because Cipher will stab me. But yes, under-leveled, unplayed characters are a huge deal, and I can guarantee a LOT of names are going to get freed up!”

Uh, thought there was a GM on here who alluded to several tens of thousands of accounts that were created and not played in years. If I’m remembering correctly, that’s a lot more than a “few dozen” or even a “few hundred” names that will be released. True, they won’t all be good names, but a percentage will be.

See, now you’re just looking for reasons to quit TFs so you can come on here and thump your chest. Advertising a TF does not mean it’s set to +0, just like it does not mean it’s a speed run. You should have asked the leader before it started. You didn’t. Why? Because then you couldn’t come on here and brag about quitting another TF.

I always take stealth, for the def and to sneak past things You could also go with combat jump for def (if you need anymore) Hows your recharge? Hasten can help with that.

At the very least - it should be advertised as a +3 or +4 No need to trick people. There are plenty of players who enjoy that type of challenge
