Sorry it irks you. It irks me to see people overprice things just to bleed other players dry….and for what? You are most certainly not helping anyone by trying in vain to keep prices high. Well, unless you count growing your stockpile of inf as “helping others”

Fans of the show did this? So what’s that, like 40 people? In all seriousness, it’s that same BS from a few years ago all over again - only this time “cancelling” someone for having the nerve to disagree, is no where near as effective.

I usually stand around waiting for someone else to form TFs Once I get bored, I form my own. The last thing I worry about is having 8 - once I get tired of forming/waiting, we go. Ive run all kinds of TFs with less than 8, and they were just as much fun.

That’s the problem. I see people ask “what’s the best damage dealer?” and then 13 people spout off 13 different answers. If it’s a different question, but narrowed down - what’s better tank or brute, you will still get a dozen different answers from a dozen different people. There are no real answers to these generalized questions. Only opinions. Unless the player asking goes in depth with what they are looking for, and how they like to play - you’re just throwing crap at the wall. IMO. I would much rather see someone say “ Love playing my (insert Powers/AT), but I feel that I could improve my damage/defense/whatever. Can someone help me?” That can be worked with. ”Tell me what I’ll enjoy” cannot.

and here’s the two sections that lead me to my opinion. How did he “learn” it was the worst melee set? by playing it or someone telling him? Then he mentions “popular opinion” - again leading me to believe he was happy with the toon until “someone who knows better” opened their big mouth and ruined his enjoyment. @macskull Youre sick of people telling players to enjoy what they like. Im equally sick of players telling others they are doing it wrong, because they picked the wrong powers. Or wrong AT. If they pick and play what they enjoy, the chances are they will stick around longer than if they pick and play what someone else enjoys.

The point of my response is…. If you enjoy playing it, why worry what anyone else thinks? What good is having a high damage toon, if you’re bored to death with the power set? I took the post to say they enjoyed kinetic melee until they “heard” it was low performing. Maybe I misunderstood what the OP was asking - but I stand by my fucking answer. If you enjoy the powers and how it plays - don’t worry about everyone else’s insignificant opinion.

Well, just about everything that can be said has been said about this topic - so I was curious if this was a “I’d be willing to compromise” or a “Gimme gimme gimme cause I want want want” request.

Sounds like your thinking of it in terms of comics - Iron Man as in the hero. People who participate in the challenge think of it more in terms of like an Ironman in sports. Longevity. Physical endurance. Outlasting everyone else. Like a Cal Ripken Jr or Lou Gehrig. Not missing a game. In video game terms - not dying. Most people who participate, agree on the rules before starting. The first rule they usually agree on, is death equals end of challenge.

Not sure that could be called an Iron Man challenge…..and not sure how following preset criteria (no deaths) is rude. But there ya go OP. You found someone to agree with you.
