Focused Feedback: Energy Melee Revamp
Infinitum replied to Jimmy's topic in [Open Beta] Focused Feedback
Slot critical strikes in WH and lead with that in large spawns, you will get double focus a lot more that way. -

No need to jump my friend, you never have to see that animation if you play it right. Having said that, even if you did see it the set is a net gain over how EM was on live. Play it objectively and you will see this once you get experience with it. -

You likely had it as a one two before the nerf though, I did anyway. All of the updates to EM in this patch places it ahead of old EM by a good stretch. TF is pretty slick now, there isn't a reason to not use it, and it will usually keep you in fast ET mode. EP was also buffed - that may be a change that gets glossed over in all this but the whole set gained in this. -

PCs biggest kick is it improves AOE to scrappers, tankers, and brutes, and adds it altogether to stalkers. You can switch gears from ST focus to AOE now and still be extremely lethal either way. -

Momentum locks some attacks out if you arent in it, focus makes them faster but you still have access to them if you aren't in it. ET, cost no endurance, and had recharge lowered - if that was the only change it would still be an improvement especially combined with TF having a lower anim time too. -

For ST yes, it excels at that again it appears. Stalker hide for an almost guaranteed TF crit gets 2 units of focus, and put critical strikes in WH and lead with that has a high rate of TF crit for double focus. -

Wow these changes as an overview is better than old EM. Takes a bit of getting used to but I love it. It helps to have specific attack chains, but usually fast ET is always ready. -

have you tried it? So far, I'm averaging in the 1:40s on a build with agility not musculature. Best time so far was 1:11 and thats without epic pool chicanery. That's a EM EA stalker. I'll post more as I get them -
General Feedback: Issue 27, Page 1

Thumbs up, can't wait to get off work now! I am actually feigning a bathroom break right now to read this. lol This is awesome! -
uh, yeah thats not a good point, why exactly is it bad for us? i have never had a pixle harm me. I am an adult and can decide if something is bad for me and that doesnt classify as something that is. So yeah thats not the reason - if there is a reason. 1. If it was bad for the game or us - how responsible are they for not removing it then? 2. If it is not bad for us or the game - why remove it at all? 3. If the bad portions are patched why not leave or replace the utility portion of it? Those are all questions i will wait and see if we get agreeable answers on as this is rolled out some day. I believe i understand why it will be removed and even agree with it largely - but its up to them ultimately how soft the implementation and forced conversion will be.
-
Yeah go look at the base section, or excelsior server section, the code is advertised with maybe the occasional blurb about it going away. read the last sentence of what you said also - first of all it wasnt repeatedly warned. Secondly - 14 months. Even if people caught the warning it becomes hollow once its not enforced. insulting people by calling them children whining isnt going to win any arguments either. It has been a function for about as long as HC has existed and many people dont and wont understand that its an exploit and needs to be removed. Being heavy handed with this is not the answer whether you like it or not or agree with it or not.
-
We play every night and thats the exception, not the rule. Yeah some people can be unreasonable, but its their team, if you join - thats on you. This is why it should have been removed at the onset, because its been advertised, and even promoted on these very forums in some cases - so a lot of this negative feedback is warranted.
-
You were on the live forums weren't you. I might be mistaken, but do you remember back in the day running pylon tests with my EM tank with me? Mainly because nobody believed my numbers were so good, you checked them out - I demonstrated them for you? If you don't remember, it's mistaken identity. That was a good many years ago.
-
Yeah this is true, modern TFs like apex and tin mage take place in the same compound - let alone zone. The basecode makes numina a lot more bearable. But not only that, it makes frequent gathering and administrative functions in the base easier to not waste time getting to.
-
I think base use is similar to oro use - meeting, gathering, admin. You can even use pro as a transportation hub like the base. So yeah get rid of the code, lower p2w base access to 5 min unenhanceable. Similar to the oro portal. Problem solved. Whether You admit it or not a great many people though the code access was a HC feature, and its even been promoted on these forums frequently and the odd blurb about it going away is washed under fast by the thousands of wow thats cool posts. If it we're going away to not replace its functionality it should have been snuffed out when discovered.

I know this will be unpopular, but in the actual thematics of rage it kinda doesnt fit with how you would think a SS rage would work. Rage is the pivotal power of SS Here is how it should work in the crazy muddled neurons of my brain. What if rage did two things. Make it a toggle, On jab, punch, and haymaker it decreased animation time - like thanos multi punching the hulk. Which using those powers charge up a mechanic for ko blow and foot stomp and that it turn gave them more power and radius for foot stomp and splash damage for ko blow like superman punching dark seid and destroying a building with the shockwave collateral blast. Furthermore there is no crash, but the longer you stay in rage endurance cost increases - kinda like reverse ageless core.
-
Uh, what? lol. You cant be serious. The energy released from a nuclear reaction creates the shockwave and explosion magnitudes greater than conventional weapons. Yes nuclear material can still be deadly but not on that magnitude. And yes a nuclear device dropped could still kill on impact from kinetic energy but that's not what we are talking about here. For the capable, TW is deadly and breaks all the rules by any standard - it doesnt matter how popular it is, thats what it does.
-
I have noticed this also, not sure how else to describe it other than unusual lag. But I have tried to hit an insp with no other power animating, and sometimes it just doesn't happen instantly like it should, or like it did on live. I've never bothered with mentioning it, because I don't like to be dependent on insp use anyway.
-
Yeah and cold dont really matter its the least encountered damage type in the game.
