... where AI means motion capture can be used on an old video of some bloke dancing in the 1970s.
It looks like the days of special spotty suits may be coming to an end!

Another of my Victorian era villains. This costume inspired by @First Player's The Duke, from back on page 146 of this thread.
Mordrogar. (A possible ancestor of Duke Mordrogar, one of the heads of the Hellions. Or maybe it's just a cheap claim to help the "Duke" in Hellion circles.)
A European aristocrat and somewhat of a megalomaniac, he is the leader of Novus Ordo Mundi, a confederation of villains. Mordrogar has allied with another NOM member, Snake Oil, to give him super powers.
Super Strength/Bio Armor (minimal effects) Brute.
Let's go, boys!!!
Lol that face! 😄
I call him Montgomerie, but he's a costume, not a character. Maybe he'll be an AE villain one day.- 7

Aw, that sucks; I'm sorry they made such a blatant effort to rip off your unique look like that. I find these absolutely inspirational, but hope not to find myself ripping them off completely.
There's no copyright and the highest form of flattery is imitation. I think it's fair that people without time or inclination to master the costume creator just copy someone else. Ofc, there should be an in-game tip/payment system, but there isn't.

Introducing the latest model in the Dynamo Series of mecha suits. The MSP-95 GP-01 Dynamo Ingram.
This mecha has been designed with close and medium range weapons and a variety of non-lethal subdual options. A streamlined and slightly smaller compact build makes this unit better suited for urban environments. Proven, durable technologies and easy maintenance make this mecha suitable for inclusion as back up and fire support for Longbow, Vanguard and even local police. Fire and rescue missions can be supported with add-on modules.
The pilot is a Longbow reservist acting as a test pilot to see how the Ingram works out in Paragon. Assuming all goes well with the test unit, later there will be official variations such as the Police unit below.
I loves me some powersuit action, though it's challenging to avoid looking like all the other ones!

IMHO, what makes this costume so special is that you've managed to find a way to put three colours into the costume so imperceptibly, where, for me at least, the natural instinct is to limit ourselves to the obvious two channels. Brilliant!

And has already been said, you can't take powers out of sets that are already in the game.
It's 100% possible. Will it be unpopular... mmm ... depends what they get replaced by. Some zealots will complain vociferously no matter what you do.
On 7/15/2022 at 8:11 PM, Rudra said:You're willing to keep beanbag but not buckshot. Rifles don't fire bean bags. They can fire rubber bullets and other non-lethal rounds, but bean bags are shotgun options. (Edit: And you won't get the knock from a rubber bullet that you would get from the larger and meant to knock people back/down bean bag.) So you're already deviating from rifle back into multi-purpose weapon.
It's great to see that you're already coming around and considering alternatives. I'm sure a stun from Rubber Bullets will be a fine replacement for Bean Bag.

So who's planning to mod this powerset to have your own favourite musical genre instead of the default sounds?

I'll just leave this here...
I absolutely love it. Amazing!

IF the devs introduced an enhancement that extends effect duration, classes that allowed it, for example Tankers should be a priority, could use it on their toggles to mitigate the power suppression/suspension effect...

I'm just wondering if it's possible to expand the colours at all?

Sonic Attack Revamp
[..]
- Only one of these debuffs can be active on a target from the same caster at any given time. If a same-named debuff is applied on a foe, the previous debuff gets replaced (effectively refreshing the duration of the debuff)
Is this because it's the easiest way to do it?
Because overwriting a 20 second debuff with a 10 second one is really bad. Could they perhaps take whichever has the longest timer/time remaining instead? Or is that much more difficult to code?

I have characters all over the place and several with very desirable names. I'm embarrassed that I hardly play them, so forcing the names off my characters is good for my indecisiveness/inaction/laziness in resolving the situation myself.

In terms of "simple" customizations, I'd like to be able to strap guitars to the backs of my Ninjas.
Do guitars exist in the models?

Ooh, will we need to do herding again?! 😄

I do appreciate the work on new animations. I really do. But something about the new running animation just makes it look really goofy. I'm sorry.
The lining of the pelvis while running looks wrong to me. Instead of leaning into the run, it comes off as this hunched over, "really gotta go to the bathroom" look.
Maybe it's just me.
Some people really gotta go to the bathroom. That's natural.
This will help the goofy characters do their thing and give us all a laugh. The rest of us can look cool and awesome using other animations.
I hope to see some of these on NPCs and enemies one day! 😉- 1

I think you should try the Beta and see how it works. I think using the word "Sheath" is bad term to use.
Just to clear this up: I didn't name the system and I don't care about any actual sheaths.

I like the idea of this change, but I can understand how some people think the timer is too long.
Honestly, I think it'd take me a lot longer to reactivate all my toggles on ANY of my characters.
But... as an alternative I considered the notion of automatically reactivating your toggles one by one.
But the different ways in which people want to redo their toggles after a mez has worn off (due to bespoke proc setups and suchlike) probably means you couldn't do a single set sequence.

First, I want to say how grateful and excited I am about this change, it's one of the big things I had on my mind and I even said as much last week in one of the forum threads! Thank you very much to the people involved in this. Big hearts to you! ❤️
50 minutes ago, Stormwalker said:No Redraw will cause the draw animation to be skipped and the weapon will basically teleport to your hand.
I was wondering about this... I use no redraw on my characters so they don't pull their weapon from nowhere each time they do an attack. Will that be different in future? I haven't got the beta client.
The desirable version, as I see it,
- would store the weapon sheathed,
- then draw it when it's clobberin' time,
- continually have it in their hand whilst clobberin' (several attacks)
- then put it away when the clobberin's all said and done.
Is that one of the options (no redraw/normal)?

I should inform the Americans... comics never took off here like they did in the US, despite the UK having produced some of the most reputable comic book authors, Gaiman, Morrisson, Moore, etc. - so City of Heroes didn't really have the same impact it did over there.

I understand your pain 😣
I love the visual of the power.... and it looks great for themes and such...
but to me it's always aggravating when the toon gets bonked on the head and WoC suddenly goes away 🤐
Plus it just never seemed to "do much" as in the meaning of confusing anything unless they're close enough for a handshake.
By that time it will have been too late so to speak at times 🤔Would a range enhancement increase it's circumference? Or is that not possible?
