Question: Please understand the last time I did a lot of coding networking meant a 2400 baud modem. Could you make an agent program that reports what all parsers do on a single machine? This would change us from how many total parsers are supported to how many total users. Of course, I am guessing that coding multiple programs to talk to each other could be annoying.... could all the parsing leave text files that a master program reads, sends, and deletes? Of course I am not doing the work and it is not like this is going to take forever as is. Thank you again for all the work you do on this - as is is fine, just some random thoughts.

I have a 4 day weekend coming up. If it doesnt cost you anything to increase capacity I'll get 200+ copies going before bed and watch it during the day -- can load up my i7 laptop too and we can get this done :)

I recall live being the same. Doesnt seem to matter if my char is tall, short, he, she, or they -or- for that matter if I use tentacles (you dont want to know what the spell check almost did with tentacles), claws, or some other prehensile appendage - if I want in or out of the zone I am required to give that guard a friendly squeeze to get his attention -- anything lower or higher just doesnt get any attention - is guarding the gate really that boring?

Just got home, downloaded the new parser -- it is showing a blank console with an occasional cursor blink in the upper left. No errors, nothing -- I take that back as I typed no errors I saw some in the console and it closed. Error exceeds the allowed 20k characters - shall I shove it in a drop box for you? Ah Yes --- I recall my original adventures leveling up my first char and just hitting Founders Falls. Bang - dead - WTF Run back Bang - dead - WTF Run back Bang - dead - WTF Run back Bang - dead - WTF Learn to hide and keep moving so the snipers cant hit me. Hunting PPs in FF for the badge was fun till I leveled up enough the snipers couldn't 1-shot me - on my low hit point controller. Got to the point I would fly up and hold them - and feed them to my army of imps - Sniper being torn apart by 10-15 imps was fun. (Back before the pet nerf/buff of course)

So...... Hows the units worked looking? :)

Any easy way to see if I correctly installed it?

Another random thought --- if the error messages were outputted to a text file -- date/time - message and it kept adding to the same file it would make posting them quicker and easier. Though at some point I should pick up snag it or some such for home - I use it enough at work.

I have not been able to get more then 20 copies running. It varies but sometime at the 18-20 stage I hit a wall of cant connect to the server 3 times errors. Dont know if my router, charter, or what is limiting the number of connections. Otherwise I would get 100-200+ copies going before bed. It kinda a pain to type my name and chose the file path each time though when launching that many copies. Could it look at a text file for the info? And could we set a move to folder so instead of stopping it just keeps going after posting the alert? I get any changes made take away from your free time and we are all very appreciative of the work you are doing... Just some thoughts if you have time.

UI's can take a bit of time and effort to code. Knight is writing the program for the project. Back when I used to write code - I am a lot of of date - I wouldn't bother with a front end for something like this either. I am at 99% on the new torrent. Should flip from peer to seeder shortly. The data folder size has dropped a bit -- good news, right?

Every kid is different. I remember on live - I was working a late shift and would be up till pretty late in the morning before bed - I ended up with this same kid on my team a few times -- somehow it would always work out it was a timed mission. Having him there was much much worse then not having help. People would get quite frustrated - no one ever said anything mean to him/her the community was too good for that though. My point it isnt just about the kid -- please make sure your not unleashing a horror upon the world. Second point with very few exceptions this is the best MMO community I have ever experienced. How did we know the playing was a young kid? Because he would leave all a sudden because it was time to go to school now at the same time every morning. I remember sending tells to a couple of frustrated team leaders its ok he is leaving in 5 minutes - having experienced this player enough times to know when he was leaving. Been 7-8 years but I am thinking 1st or 2cn grade.

I was fighting them where ever the onscreen display showed prison break. After my post, up on top of the zig one group suddenly counted. I got picked up for a TF - left and came back, at which point the pop up only should around the police and had somehow updated to 19. The it changed to take out 18 Freaks - when they were all on the ground the counter was at 17 and no more to arrest.

I remember back when Imps got 2-5 not just a set 3 for controllers. It is hard to know if it is a deliberate balance choice made by the original Devs or a hold over from the random days not meant to be still in the code.

I'll keep UTorrent up till this project is done. Would help if more ppl could. I see 1 seed and 2 peers at the moment.

If you despawn the imps does it help when you resummon?

The Philotic Knight is taking a fair amount of his personal time to write code and otherwise rebuild the old COH forums making them indexable in the process. This would allow ppl to do searches -- to find old posts by user name for example. With the large amount of data involved those of us who wish to help are downloading the original forums off an archive and running Knight's program on our own computer which sends the results to Knight's.... a bit of a logistal headache to put together and keep going IMO but in the end the results are worth it for a large number of players I am thinking.

I personally like the idea of some soft of pledge/sub system when/if the NCSoft issues are resolved. Until then in accrual based accounting anything listing future monies coming in is added to the bottom line.... thus it could legally be considered income even though it is just a list of who would like to give some money. If the whole idea is to avoid earning money we should avoid any kind of pledge.
