  1. I never said I didn't like it so that's an odd take. And yes, I tell new players it is perfectly fine to have a level 25 common IO build even at 50 since that's what I personally did on Live. To say that is the standard now is absolutely delusional. Again, no one is posting asking for end game SO builds at this point. People might want cheap IO set based builds, but they want those builds as those are the standard now. Here's the thing, if the game is balanced around the idea that SOs are the standard, then support characters don't need to self buff since that standard is so low. Or, the IO set world is the standard and oddly enough no one who wants self buffing to happen can actually show data or builds which show why those builds are missing out compared to other builds due to the lack of self buffing. As previously started, at worst I can make a Cold Defender who is under 7% in any Def stat which would be boosted by their own shields, sans Melee which I don't really care about and is still +30%. The differences between my recent attempts at a Cold/water vs. Dark/dark is incredibly low. I actually need to do more work on the Dark since it has a non-functional amount of end usage vs. recovery so in the end the numbers will likely be even closer, so WTF would a Cold Def need to use their own shields? If SOs are the standard, knock yourself out running teams on old school diff settings and seeing how quickly those teams are filled running level 50 content.
  2. There are SGs from Live who would chuckle at this statement. I think we can throw out what this game is balanced against nonsense. When was the last time you saw someone post a desired build for end game content that only used SOs? SOs haven't been the standard in years.
  3. This is why you can have more than one build. I personally haven't created a second build so I have one exclusively for level 50 content. This obviously increases the cost you put into a build which is why fewer people do it. I would rather put the currency on another character versus having two builds for the same character.
  4. If you share your build, we might be able to fix the Acc issue.
  5. This reminded me I had worked on my Cold Defender so I went and played around with it a bit more. In reality, my current lowest Def stat for any Def stat which the shields cover is 30.6% Melee, and I use Hover. Anything else is less than 7% from being soft capped or already soft capped. I'm still not done with the build either. I feel like the people who think support characters need to self buff are ones who don't really plan builds.
  6. If you are doing missions as a duo, then I would find using a Tanker as overkill. I can solo on the casual on +3/x8 with my Scrapper, so a Brute or Scrapper will work just fine. An Ice/ice Brute and Fire/thermal Corr or Thermal/fire Defender would blow through content. You do want the melee AT to be Def based as Debuffs will impact a Res based one more. A support character will likely get enough Def via IOs and power picks to make it work.
  7. I saw on Sunday I think it was the last 5 were 10k with a 50k. I dumped anything over 5 in storage and got it down in the 7k range. I just checked at it is at 7.5k.
  8. I have already grabbed the new version of Mids with no real issue once it is installed.
  9. EM is likely the best ST damage for any of the melee ATs so to say it is 'lesser' on a Scrapper is incredibly wrong. You haven't overkilled a target until you start overkilling with an EM Scrapper. 😄Damage will go Scrapper > Brute > Tanker with the one notable item being Tankers get bigger AoEs. In short, EM defaults to S tier for any AT which uses it.
  10. On the flip side, I have three EA characters with two at 50 and one at 45, and I have yet to take the T9. I just got off a team with an absolute piece of work of a lead running level 45 Malta missions at +4. The lead is calling people who leave due to the pace or being killed derogatory terms. They say they want to be the one who goes in first since they area tank. Challenge accepted. Eventually all hell breaks loose and people are dying left and right. I think the lead gets saved by leveling, but eventually falls. Literally the team wipes outside of myself. I'm holding down multiple bosses, and eventually through sheer will we get through the mob. I was out after the mission, and all I wanted to do was get out of there clean. I fell due to the layout and a Sapper getting enough of a clean shot. Man, that pissed me off more than it should have, but when the complete a-hole of a lead is ranting about how I was in error, well, yeah. Still, standing toe-to-toe with all of the Malta bosses waiting for the tank to come back from the hospital and holding the fort down with not much movement on my end all things considered was glorious.
  11. Stop using Follow and navigate your character though the game.
  12. The idea that this game has 'healers' is a long dead horse issue. If I rolled an Emp and took the rez, I would do it at 49.
  13. I had thought players just fought the lesser beings under Rularuu, but I haven't done the Shard TFs since Live. Rularuu and Hamidon are on the right.
  14. Uncommons went from swimming in paying 1k for one to being able to sell a stack at 1 mill.
  15. I accidently did 140 versus 170, so that's where the differences lie.
  16. But as they said, you have to look at it from a 10 target stand point. A Defender can target 16 with SC. I'm also not saying you can't get 370% Recharge, but that's really high. Even my Time characters get 230% at most for global.
  17. I vendor common salvage and IO recipes until I get to my starting point. Habashy, DFB, and first two Hollows contacts I think generates 84 Convertors. 42 conversions to rare with an average of 3 mill profit means I'm sitting at over 120 million. I'm like level 13 and have yet to touch the Posi TF for more Merits.
  18. Which means a Defender still has it's own nuke, which if we do similar recharge reduction is in the area of 46 seconds, and has Shock, Galvanic Sentinel, and Defibrillate. I don't see how a Sent is better by a significant margin even without the limit to targets which hinders a Sent.
  19. I sold stacks at 1 million per early last month. They might simply be loading up for the weekend. I hoard the ones I care about and sell of stacks of the ones I don't.
  20. I'm curious to know why. /elec only offers 30% chance of -Recovery via Power Sink. EA offers three ways to get -Recovery.
  21. A bit Captain Obvious.
  22. Yes, but -Recovery makes getting to low end and it sticking there far easier. More so on harder targets. If a Blaster is a better debuffer than a Defender, then something is completely broken.
  23. /elec has no -Recovery. Of the two powers which offer -Recovery for an Elec/elec Blaster, one is a nuke. A Defender is going to trigger Shocked status a lot more.
  24. An Elec/elec Defender is likely the best sapper due to the all of the -Recovery tools it has. The issue with end drain is how little of end a target needs to still pull off an attack. Granted, that might still be lesser attacks, and some AVs simply can be really annoying to drain or simply won't be drained enough for it to matter. I currently am trying out a Defender and Controller versions and seeing which one I like the best in the end.
  25. If you are simply selling convertors for 60k-70k and not suing them to convert actual IOs, you aren't profiting like you should be.
