  1. PK, there's an entire back-up of the public CoH forums in static form. Would it be easier to work with that -- or just instantiate them into a new BB? I was not aware that that existed! Thanks for the link! I'll get to looking at that as soon as I get some time to, that may be the best way going forward, thank you!
  2. I love their pretty purples and deep blues.
  3. I can second this. I went to gather badges there and day ago, I had never really stopped to look around at the grandeur of it all, the place looks absolutely stunning, if a little bit repetitive and unintuitive to navigate. Also the badge descriptions there really paint the zone in a much more interesting and disturbing light, highly recommend reading them if you ever go for em. Shame they rushed it out and didn't really work on it at all after as it could have been amazing and not the empty wasteland it is now Thirded, while technically it's like three "zones", I count it at one giant one... Shadow Shard has always been my favorite "zone". I LOVE doing laps around the Storm Palace! Can't wait to get PK to 50 again so that I can do that again!
  4. A bit farther, sadly... some of the XML files from the spider got corrupted, and had to be deleted. Here's the latest: (9310/61242) 15.2% But at least we know the start and stop of it... I think. We're in this for the long haul.
  5. Ummm. ... Alt + Enter, then drag away?
  6. Would you mind linking where they have said that it is okay to mirror/scrape the wiki for derivatives? Thanks! Right here, sir, straight from the horse's mouth.
  7. Press Alt + Enter.
  8. As far as people leaving HC, I'll just say this. I just logged off a moment ago, after seeing Independence Port FULL. I've NEVER seen Independence Port full, even during live.
  9. I'd LOVE to do this, as I love good stories and critiquing. But I don't have the time...
  10. Looks up to me...

    Prove me wrong

  12. Yes, which is why we put announcements here, ask for feedback here, and direct suggestions here.
  13. Fast way to windowed mode, hold Alt and press Enter.
  14. Great, the audio element is great... for a chat program. Allowing pinned posts is fine, but it's still a single pinned post, not a whole topic-related thread/dialogue. Once again, I say... Discord is GREAT, for short, momentary things. But for the long haul, you want something that's more permanent, more transparent, more easily searchable and browse-able. I haven't seen anything better than a good forum for that.
  15. AFAIK it's a SUPER high mag immobilize that can immobilize almost anything... So you can run away. https://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Hero_Accolade_Powers#Crey_CBX-9_Pistol
  16. Actually, Discord channels will keep their entire history... it's just a pain in the neck to read them compared to a forum. (Of course, a suitably old and well-used forum can be a pain in the neck to dig through as well, but we're a long, long way off from that point.) Okay, call me ignorant. How easily searchable is it? How organized is it? Because, from what I've seen, there's channels, and each channel is like one giant "thread", and it's hard to follow a conversation when it's not partitioned out into topic-specific threads. Searchable, yes, if you can remember an exact phrase or who started the line of conversation you want to read. Organized, not at all, for exactly the reason you give. Okay, thank you. 1 point for Forums in this case. Discord is fine, but it's essentially an enhanced CHAT client, seemingly meant for "superficial", temporary and instantaneous communication. And for that, it's great. But for long term, in depth discussions? We REALLY need a good, organized, structured, and well developed forum for that.

  18. This. I much prefer to see someone quote a specific thing which they are responding to. Much prefer it over the ones who quote someone who is quoting someone who is quoting someone.... In theory, we are reading the thread. There is no reason to quote half the thread in a post. Just highlight the main point you wish to discusss for clarity. I'll admit to occasionally participating in a quote pyramid. Especially if it's an amusing one. But in general I can agree with you.
  19. what's a discord? They have these beautiful forums here for that kind of information. Why would they use some other site? Because Discord is the channel most used by gamers today, forums like this are really just for most gamers to complain. :) Really. I have issues with Discord because of its impermanence. See, we can today look back at the old forum posts of the past and glean knowledge... and with the Wayback Machine, we can even grab that knowledge from sites who have long been gone. Can we do the same with Discord? I think not.
  20. The worst builds? The ones I'm not playing at the moment.

    How

If they did intend it to be public all along, and they wanted people to KNOW that, they could provide proof... such as e-mail exchanges, Discord chats, screenshots, whatever. But I don't think it matters looking at the past. We got where we are how we got there, what matters is where we are going NOW. I'm optimistic.
