  1. you'll accumulate charged of ststic from using stuff, and that affects the number of jumps some chaining skills will do. youll be fine in practice, but if theres a gang war or ghost summon going on, chain may exhaust itself on those little summons. i wouldnt worry about it though. robots healer drones cannot be healed, so one might suppose theyre a drop less optimal for ea, as (i dont know this for a fact) theyll consume chain jumps which do nothing. for your buffs, should work well on any pet set. the amp up aoe is around the impact of a power, so whatever works and ideally attack rapidly through the duration. ea should be flexible for any pet set, it is a good one.

  3. dunno about scrapper - but its quite good on stalker, and amazing on tanker because of the larger aoes and target caps. rad armor/staff pretty special
  4. helluva boss - a youtube show. its quite good. its about assassins for hire, who live in hell, and kill other demons for cash.
  5. you should watch 'moxxie's bad trip song' and think about how wound up you get 🙂
  6. as far as being super famous and speaking for the people as a whole, ya, probably. I'm honoroit! you've probably heard of me in game. kind, magnanimous, noble forest spirit. all those things. but ya, kick/punch in the way of tough / weave gotta go, kupo.
  7. it wasn't, it isn't - its just these conservator folks keep pushing back on all change (except beanbag -> aim, because they like that one) honoroit - (best) vox populi, who's lungs are filled with honesty
  8. why the poster wants to fly, is something they know. sounds fun. none of their choices diminish what stands alone - fighing kick/punch is in the way, and becomes a dud pick with nearly every time fighting is chosen. its like 'run/fly a little fast' / 'jump a little bit' before health and stamina in that regard.
  9. they're misbehaving on purpose, and yet some among the very same are hard at a desire for beanbag > aim (which mashes blast set diversity, the arguement being 'no one uses beanbag'). so hear me now and listen, kupo! reworking the fighting pool is long overdue. probably 9/10 (or more, including tanks) builds I see here, and definately 90% or more of my characters, over years here, have an unused/unbarred/barred-for-lols-on-the-anim kick or punch. i hate how it is so much I won't even call it 'boxing'. but that's what it does to builds. and it should go. so that you can fly. which sounds fun. -- honoroit, THE power pool balance expert. recipient of the power pool balance award badge, 2020-2023
  10. im not sure this is a certainty. whats going on: 1/ level reqs for fighting pool remain. one may simply select tough/weave at appropriate level, and weave can have a 1 prior requirement. tough becomes accessible with 0 prereq. (least pactful to restrictions, more complex implement) 2/ punch/kick are moved further in the fighting set, and tough/weave become 1st 2 choices (less likely for balance, earlier level availability, easier to implement) -- what results? you can pick tough/weave WITHOUT needing punch / kick. horray! -- honoroit, power pool balance expert
  11. ya, its awful isnt it. think of the build diversity we miss out on because punch. (and no dont drop all prereqs... but on fighting yes, or reorder away punch and kick)
  12. lap it up, i get that on mine from 2 particular users who like to support some rather awful sentiment quite regularly. they kind of just mark themselves. its like how people graffitti tag a thing, or urinate on it for some reason to exercise themselves of a way.
  13. they just like arguing it seems, and never complain about fitness, nor a new AT, nor new sets... some of the same ALSO want beanbag to be aim... its about what they want, couched as a grand arguement on balance, typically. fighting dropping prereqs or reordering stupid kick/punch to 3rd would do only 1 thing: free a power choice, replacing something (nearly all) people keep barred as a brawl replacement 1 slotted and use for lols, or simply unbar. kick/punch in fighting is a tax, and in the way of build variety opened by it not being a wasted prereq. the cost balance around making you waste a power to get tough/weave, is silly, in my opinion. and not FUN. remember, as debated endlessly - its supposed to be fun. it doesnt rock your sock or boat balance wise at all - youd just have the ability to do something useful with what now a power choice you make and dread at the level up screen. 'oh hells, fine, its kick/punch now and immediate unbar or... f it' <-- thats not fun.
  14. balancing around making a person drop a power (ie punch/kick) is poor of vision. just open it up in fighting (that alone), and all of a sudden theres a loose pick that extends the meta. you know salt crystals is pbaoe almost instant cast def down (and a sleep), but you skip that, right - because kick? black hole is not dimension shift, but it saves lives in skilled hands. but you skip that, right - because punch? there are many: the aoe stun in dark blast. but punch. its the smart choice, kupo. -- honoroit, power pool balance expert
  15. essential power pool slotting (for me) on literally every character that isnt a healer or has a healing skill where extending set bonus past uniques is worthwhile: health - panacea, miracle, numinas, sometimes preventative medicine absorb proc, but theres often something that can take this and the final set bonus os good recharge. ^ why? it is WAY TOO much base recovery/effective regen to pass up. stamina - performance shifter, occassionally the chance for self heal one (cant remember set name) stupid punch/kick - leave blank tough/weave 3-6 in each of these. must place unbreakable guard, shield wall, scaling res one, res/def low level set one, lotg, gladiators armor. --- the only thing i dont care for in this is having to take kick or 'punch' in the fighting pool. generally, and for select pools one could look across characters and see 'oh ya, nearly everyone is doing as honoroit mentions!': say for example fighting: keeping pool level requirements, but opening selections to not require n powers to have been selected prior, would lead to greatly increased build variety. thunderspy did exactly this. you still need to be level n to select the tough or weave, but you do NOT have to take punch or kick. so a power is freed - the player can grab a skipped primary/secondary power, be a flier with combat teleport and not sacc all over the build to accommodate the loss of other power. -- honoroit, powercreep cottage watcher
  16. i just wanna best bestest team figs I can be! plus, i like shouting at things.
  17. mhm! you can also tp in a straight line if you need a blink like escape /bind ctrl+` powexec_location me:100 combat teleport i dunno if it works with like -100 (100ft is range of combat tp at base), i will test that this evening. but its a very good escape.
  18. (psst - on fire/rad strongly consider getting combat teleport and, with just the key to bind, not the <>): /bind <my favorite key like `> powexec_location target combat teleport
  19. id choose fire/rad: between choking cloud, hot feet, the debuffs, AM, bonfire, the imps, and room for smoke should you care for it and use it like a blind... (and skip fallout/mutation)... its probably a good character that comes out from a support/cc perspective, with 'not super terrible' (for a controller) damage.
