It just depends on how you want to support your team, do you want more cc or more team damage? Radiation is extremely powerful and synergetic with corrupters and kin.

Do you have a build you can share? I am literally new to building and capping all of these defenses I do not even remember having to do this on live but I am sick of being squishy ugh thanks, I dont copy builds btw I just get ideas and adjust to my playstyle so I am not looking for free help since people like to presume when someone asks for a build.

Hi there sorry to bump an old post but you seem to know allot about illusion and most recommend tough and weave for melee. so that threw me off im currently playing ill/ma, I was wondering if you had any advice and on leveling. Also it seems spectral wall is underrated, I know the damage is low but is so the cooldown. Thanks if you get back to me friend.

I second this idea how could we not with population issues on one side? If you can play villain ats and vice versa this should not be a limitation either.

Yea it seems to have good st damage but in reality I could just be casting spectral since the recha is so fast from mob to next and then do my other attacks. I think I will get more dps out of dark and probably more end efficient to.

Wow this confirms what ive been feeling with martial myself paired with illusion so far, but I am not quite 50 yet but I keep finding negative info about this combo. I am probably going to reroll ill/dark.

There are many amazing things that are just flat out better compared to many modern and even other old school mmos in city of heroes, no micros and a full fledged true team based mmorpg are my 2 most important when it comes to an mmorpg if I am going to spend time playing one.

I think the dated coding has allot to do with that.

Actually the pve was amazing before they increased the exp and rewards in bank missions, it made the game so boring because no one wanted to do regular pve content and the actually leveling content is the best content in the game! SMH! It had so much potential.

I agree, the naysayers are very odd in these threads why would you not want more options? Just how almost all power sets do not look like magic unless you mean dark magic. There are obviously things planned in live that never came like elemental which was going to be released at some point and it looks like magic.

Yea I get that thanks for clearing that up, on discord people where saying its very powerful combo and good aoes so I am not sure where people are building all the info all of the answers where complete opposite there. I do know that kick misses though.

Well the ranged attacks seem really good to in ma, your making it sound like its on the bottom of the list.

Yea I am all about certain ways of protection ourselves outside of passive defenses I personally do not understand this mentality anyways when it comes to many mmos. I have been playing a rad/kin corrupter I know all to well about using all your tools to keep yourself alive lol. I may have to roll something else as it seems allot do not like the aoe, then again I am either or so I do not need a ton of aoes all the time. So far the aoe damage from ma seems great.

I did this already there is not much info on this combo there was a recent build but it was to sus for my tastes so I just wanted to know if it was even very effective I am not expecting a ton of melee I like mixing melee and ranged. I mained an ill/rad on live.

Its a pro and a con since a global auction system is also easily manipulated. Ive seen it happen in countless mmos.

Ahhh ok well I am not fully in agreement with people who gimp builds, it depends on how tough the content is not everyone feels like carrying others, we are playing an mmo after all. Yea its reasonable usually.

I am just confused why anyone would roll a mastermind to not have pets lol.
