  1. I snagged redcircle.ttf a long long time ago, and I can't remember where from but I thought it appropriate 🙂 The all MM team was one of several all MM TF's I did a while back, that one was an ITF. The LGTF was the most hilarious as the Murderblob(tm) swallowed the Honoree whole in about 20 seconds from cutscene to no more Honoree. The rules of the murderblob are 1) you stick with the murderblob. 2) see rule 1) but louder... If a murderblob of pets, buffs and debuffs rolls through a TF, nothing really stands much of a chance.
  2. Sorry, just realised that image post came across as perfunctory and dismissive. It wasn't intended that way, apologies.
  3. Menu->Options->Windows->Pets->Show Pet Window Option (enabled). Then on the team window, click 'Pets' It doesn't matter if you're in t a team or not, you can still click pets. Or type "/windowtoggle pet"
  4. The pet controls are available for any character. But only once they hit level 50 and unlock and equip a Lore ability. The commands will only apply to the Lore pets, so no sneaky gaining control over the three incendiary maniacs on a Fire controller. You can *absolutely* control Lore pets like MM pets, and in some cases It's very valuable. Like the last fight of the Keyes Island trial, where you can set the pets to Passive/Attack my target on Antimatter. They'll try to murderise AM, but won't attack the terminals if your league is going for 'Loves a Challenge'. if you want to be doubly certain, then you can tell them to go to Passive/Follow once AM starts his regen and reinstruct them to murderise once he's done with the regen.
  5. If the folders don't exist in your install directory then there're two approaches. 1) you know for certain where they're to go, and just make the folders, copy the files into the folders and bang, you're done. 2) you're a little more cautious. Make a simple one mission AE arc, don't publish it, just save it, and do the same with any costume you want. Go out to explorer and look in your install directory for the directories that will now have been created. Copy your old files across and away you go. Some costumes may not load completely (or at all) due to changes since they were originally saved. I know my favourite outfit for my Illusion/Storm controller won't load because it used what was considered a bug back on live, having both a cape (scarf) and the long tails jacket (a second cape, technically) and the dual cape effect was squashed by Paragon.
  6. Well, I don't know about 'organised'... it's not like I've planned a route through contacts or anything. If you do make it at some ungodly hour of the morning, then I may as well let you know more or less what to expect. It'll be like the Cold/Storm/Ice team I had going, in that there will be all the mayhems at appropriate levels, to try and get people on synced contacts, so everyone gets reward merits. Other than that it's likely going to be seat of the pants stuff. Usually I solo the radio/paper missions between sessions with XP turned off to get a Mayhem/Safeguard ready for the next session. Oh, and don't expect the TF's while levelling, they accelerate the XP income too much, and the point is to sort of enjoy the mayhem in a semi-scenic manner. And story arcs are scenery 🙂
  7. So now we have by way of semi-confirmed: Rad/Water Defender Rad/Rad(?) Defender Rad/Rad Tanker something irradiated Stalker Rad/Kin Corruptor Fire/Rad Controller. Something Iraradiated Six-Six Rad/Temporal Balster. Any more turn up and it's time for multiple teams.
  8. Ahh, the old days of "Hey, have you got a contact that'll sell you a level 30 Magic End Mod SO?" "Yes? great, if I trade you the inf, could you buy me a couple? I haven't got any Magic contacts open in that level band and I'm gasping for endurance" End mod not being "power 10", and therefore not available in the origin stores... Happened to me, IIRC I had to go talk to Lars Hansen on Striga for a friend's Katana/SR scrapper.
  9. This is just a reminder that the nominal start date/time is 7:30 UK time next Friday (the 4th of September), in Mercy Island with a level 1 or 2 toon (depending on whether you went though breakout or not) using Radiation Melee/Armour/Emission/Blast as one of their Primary/Secondary powersets. If anyone's interested, feel free to turn up, or fling a /tell in game. My global is, oddly enough @Li Sensei . Yes, I know it feels to a lot of people that yesterday was just the 73rd of April, but it really is September next week... 🙂
  10. If you get lucky with the procs and your other sources of disorient and manage to stack enough magnitude during the time when the PTOD are down, then you should be able to get a stun to stick on an AV. It just won't be reliable or predictable.
  11. "fun to play" is unfortunately subjective. Some people like the knife edge experience of blapping. Other people like the 'Haha! Try harder to hurt me, weaklings!' playstyle of tanking. Traps for example is *really* hard to play on a fast moving team, as by the time you've got your traps set up, the spawn you were going to use them on has been evaporated and the rest of the team is three spawns down the corridor and accelerating. Solo, traps is fine as you can go at your own speed and take malicious glee in setting up minefields with gas traps and caltrops in the middle of them in doorways and choke points. I've got a Bots/Traps MM that is almost schizophrenic in the playstyle changes between solo and teamed. And Stone/Fire tankers can't be rare, I've got one... So long as you actually mean Stone Armour/Fire and not Granite Armour/Fire. I'm in the normal armours 95% of the time, and only Granite when really needed. The fact that it (the normal armour toggles) makes me functionally immune to Carnies and lets me get cathartic payback for the suffering Carnies put some of my other alts through is a nice side bonus though 🙂
  12. it may be that I've just not noticed, but I don't recall seeing any other Sonic/Cold Corruptors out there, which is a shame, because when you decide to *really* ensquishify a hard target and unload all of your debuffs, a Dreadful Wail, and a couple of other shouts on a target, then they don't have any choice other than to become squishy. I really need to get round to a respec on mine and make *her* less squishy, too.
  13. The only thing I can think of is that model scaling can affect the visuals of PBAOE's, for example the visual of Mudpots on my Stone/Fire scranker visibly increases in diameter when he goes from minimum height mobile fumarole to 9 foot lump of Granite. The actual functional radius at which mobs get taunted/slowed/damaged doesn't change, so far as I know, but if you're not paying really close attention, you could easily think otherwise. It's a shame that it does affect the visuals because it can easily lead to false impressions that are really hard to shake off, even when you know intellectually that they're false.
  14. I may be odd, but I like Hibernate as it is. It's a panic button, that requires no additional slotting. And at that point in a levelling tanker's career, slots are fleeting and valuable. I did throw inf at my Ice/Ice tanker, so my experience is likely not the most commonplace, but I can solo comfortably at +3/x8 on 'normal' enemy groups, but IDF, Arachnos and Carnies will shred me. Mainly by debuffing the snot out of me, or punching straight through that late game Psi hole. On a team, it's less of an issue as you can engage 'sack of HP' tanker mode using Hoarfrost and Hibernate, and as Ice/Ice I've got the massive mitigation of Ice Patch and the self heal of Frozen Aura with a proc to patch up scratches until Hoarfrost is recharged in about three interglacial periods...
  15. I really enjoy the pairing. I can pop Power Boost, throw out bubbles and then spend my time you know, controlling for the next few minutes. The fact that Bonfire is hilarious with a KB->KD converter and actually worth taking nowadays is the only real change to the build from live to Reunion.
  16. I've not seen another : Dark Armour/Stone Melee tanker. Maybe I just hate having endurance... And I got two of the damn things to 50, one on live and the remake on Reunion... Fire/FF controller. Then again FF is just rare, but I can softcap my imps all by myself... On Generic IO's, no sets.
  17. Cheers. As far as the channel goes, no idea. That sort of thing'll sort of shake itself out once it starts rolling. It's also looking like the Tank/Stalker are going to have crippled targets and be buffed almost to the gills..
  18. So riff on the idea then. Mind/Psi Dominator, permastealth, named 'oretical', title 'The'. Or an AR/dev blaster 'Theo Reticule'. (as in targeting reticule) Or a Beast/Poison Mastermind called 'obromine' again, titled 'The'. Riff on the riff, go the cliched green costume and make him a leprechaun MM called The O'bromine. Puns and word play are absolutely fair game. 🙂
  19. Just a minor update. So far (at least tenuously) we've got : Rad/Water Defender Rad/Rad Defender Rad/Rad Tanker A Stalker of some irradiated flavour In case it influences any character choice you may make. I did also make a Stone/Rad controller, but since I ran a controller on Cold Front, I thought I may as well do something a little different this time. If you're interested, and want to reply here, feel free.
  20. It's from the Demon Summoning MM Primary. Sadly for MM's as usual, the personal attacks from the primary are almost useless, but at least the whip attacks do a small amount of -resist, so you can use them as minor debuffs if you want. This is of course, personal opinion, but for the power pick, slot and endurance costs, I just don't think the MM personal attacks are worthwhile as a damage source.
  21. Afternoon all. I'm planning a weekly Redside radiation team, along the lines of Cold Front (the ice/cold/storm team I started in December which recently petered out with everyone nicely 50+3 🙂 ). The idea is simple, one of your powersets, primary and/or secondary has to be radiation (blast, emission, armour, melee). And other than being Redside, that's it. You can go Rad/Rad Corruptor, you can go Rad/Regen Scrapper. So long as one of the sets is radiation, that's all that matters. No, Thermal Radiation does not count. The plan is to run it one evening per week, 19:30 UK time start, with the current plan being Fridays starting on September the 4th. I'll be in Mercy Island from about 19:00-19:15 on the 4th if you're interested. Just like Cold Front, to try and give it a little longevity, I'd suggest no XP boosters, and if Cold Front is anything to go by, there'll still be decent levels of XP income. And I know it clashes with the casual iTrials, but Friday evenings is the best option for several people I know'll be involved. - Li. (edited to correct the start time)
  22. Mirror Spirit in Faultline and Foreshadow somewhere in Scirocco's arcs are, so far as I recall, the last remnants of City of Hero still in the game, but I could be wrong and missing something else. Frankly, Mirror Spirit is the only one I usually tend to encounter.
  23. First toon was my main from live, to get the global handle. All the rest of my 25 toons from live have been remade to get the names (with the same powersets apart from my Demons/Pain who's now Demons/Thermal). I have about three or four toons that were not on live, but I'm still mostly in rebuild mode. Only taken a year so far 🙂
  24. A pair of shield users works well, can be made as thematic as you want depending on AT and attack sets. Grant cover means shield toons work well with other shield toons, and if you happen to be going through Croatoa content with a group of shield users, then the last mission with the redcap ambushes is at a point where everyone's got Shield Charge... The Redcaps didn't enjoy that mission much, but it was hilarious for the rest of us 🙂
