If you are a programmer and care to look at it, I would love to see a version of SnakeTail that could better support COHs "Log Chat" feature by allowing you to filter out lines you don't care to see. The source code for SnakeTail is available at https://github.com/snakefoot/snaketail-net/releases. If there is a better FREE program for this already, please let me know. I know that Herostats could monitor feeds like this for combat data, but I don't know of a way to use it for this purpose - if it's even still being worked on. I use SnakeTail on a second monitor to tail my "chatlog yyyy-mm-dd.txt" files, generated from the game. Using SnakeTail's Edit->View Options->Keyword Highlight feature, I can color code various lines to draw my attention. For instance, if someone mentions BAF, LAM, DD, or MSR, the line is highlighted. It's not perfect because if someone in general chat says something is "LAMe" or it makes them "maDDer than anything" it gets highlighted. Still, I like having the chat on a separate monitor because I can increase the font size, color code based on [Tell], [Team], [League], etc. As my eyesight goes downhill, it helps to be able to see chat better without sacrificing gaming space. The one feature I would love to be able to do is filter new lines out of SnakeTail if they do not contain certain keywords - like those I just mentioned. The chatlog grabs pretty much ALL the channels, along with some combat data, that isn't helpful for what I am wanting. I do want to see and highlight lines like "has defeated the Drop Ship" for instance, as well as those that contain [Looking for Group], [Team], etc. I'm a novice programmer at best, and I struggle with C#. It's possible I could get there myself with much effort, but someone more skilled might be able to basically duplicate the "Keyword Highlight" tab to a "Keyword Filter" tab in no time, and maybe several of us with aging eyes would benefit.

Under "Pick Style" I'd like "Transparent" as an option, so it would function kind of like "Open to Sky" for ceilings. Also, for "Room Section" I would love a new selection above the top ceiling called Max, Infinite, or whatever. Seems like a more difficult task to implement, though, and probably breaks lots of other stuff. In short, without having to deal with the whole building above/below base thing, I would like to be able to create a room that is confined but looks like it has no ways, and that I can fly around in without the option to fly outside and around the base.

No, that has to do with keeping the servers running, which I hope all of us would support and have an interest in the outcome. Why just *this* community event, though? There are others (possibly of similar size), every day. I'm not bothered by text showing up in my window, so much as text being forced into ALL my windows for a costume contest while I'm running, or participating in, something else entirely. I'm willing to acknowledge I may be missing something here, but on Ex it is not uncommon for community events to run multiple times every day that pull in 48 people (a full league) with more interested in joining, yet capped by league or zone size. Those aren't allowed to advertise like this.

Why do advertisements for the monthly costume contest merit being forcibly shoved into every chat window we have? As far as I know, we don't do that for any other event in the game. I acknowledge there are potentially "big cash prizes" for participating in a cc, but last time I saw this going on I only saw 50 people in KW. We don't advertise like this for Hami's or MSRs, which draw similar numbers of people. Maybe the attendance is normally greater than that, and maybe the "big cash prizes" is a huge draw, I don't know. I feel a rant coming on, so I will stop and see if anyone else is bothered by the practice. Probably just me.

Had this late contribution over the weekend:

Sometimes, something magical happens in MSRs. How it began: And how it went from there: Thanks for making MSRs fun, guys!

Bump! This is TODAY - a little less than 6 hours from now. Hoping to start with a full league this time.

Someone tripped on a cable in the bowl.

Am I the only one who would at least like to have the option to alphabetize these, rather than listing by side and level?

Thanks to everyone for their hard work on this big update!

I played on Protector, mostly as some form of Medibot (Medibot 3Gs, Medibot Dark, Meditbot mini, etc.). I also played "Oklahoma" (not "Oklahoman" as I do now).

For those who may be watching - I understand the daily MSRs are canceled for the next couple of days, but since I've been advertising this event at this time, I hate to change it at the last moment. If I can (no promises), I will step in for the daily runs today as Oklahoman, then switch to Boy Band for the scheduled all MM MSR.

Bumping as a reminder.

So... I scared them off?

Did I miss something? I'm not finding the Rikti targeting dummies in the RWZ base.

So, this is a hard decision for me, but I have decided to drop the name Boy Band on Everlasting. I've been sitting on the name in case I decided to move him back there, but it's pretty clear to me now that I am not going to, and I would like the name to be available to someone else who can use it. I could just drop it and post it in the drop name thread, which is probably what I should do, but as weird as it sounds I would like to know it has found a good home. I dread the thought that the name might end up on the 3rd page of someone's alt list. I recognize this is likely a sign I need to up my weekly therapy appointments. For those who don't know, Boy Band was probably my second level 50, and he ran a lot of MSR "benefit concerts" on Everlasting. I love the community on Everlasting and had a lot of fun roleplaying him with you guys. But I hit a point where I wasn't getting to play as much as I would like, so I moved all my characters to a more populated server so that when I could get on there was something going on. If you are interested in using the name (preferably as a Mastermind), I would also hand over the supergroup Atlas Records to you, including the associated base (ROCK-10368), which you would be free to do with as you like. My preference would be an active player who enjoys roleplaying. Not looking for anything in return other than an assurance the name will be put to good use. Send me a PM if you are interested. Thanks, Everlasting!

Just a quick thanks to everyone who came out to the MM only MSR yesterday. We ended up with a full league of masterminds right at the end. I'm hoping next time we do it we can have a full league start-to-finish. Speaking of next time, I am looking at Saturday, October 3 following the completion of Docs regular runs and any costume contest or dog and pony show that might be going on around that time. Most likely I will start recruiting at about 4:30pm CT.

Checked it out today - looks great! Curious how you got the letters in the portals to spin.

Thanks to everyone who came out for this! We had 40 MASTERMINDS in the league at the end, which is really not bad for a first run at this. I only got 24 MMs the first time I tried this on Everlasting. Next time I want 48 start to finish!

Bumping as a reminder - 5pm Central TODAY. Help spread the word! Look for LFG announcements when recruiting starts. I'll first be looking for 50+1's to be team leaders, probably about 10-15 mins ahead of the kickoff time.

In addition to the MSR kill shot mentioned earlier, on Everlasting I use to announce a "lucky caller #7 with the phrase that pays" radio sort of thing for MSR recruiting. I've tried it a couple of times on Ex, but it hasn't happened yet because either there wasn't enough interest in an MSR at that particular time, or it was obvious people were just dropping in to try to get the cash and then drop out of the league. But it's a fun thing to do when everyone is being cool about it. Occasionally, I like to take my 50s down to Atlas and join or run some DFBs, and I give a reward for the kill shot on Tinder. Shout out to Yatman who was playing 20 questions for a cash prize on two of my MSRs yesterday!
