...and the rightful owner continues to choose not to take any legal action.

@Greycat summed it up for me very well. I don't know how we do a reasonable sized recruiting effort while we are in a "gray legal status" and the game could have to go down at any time based on the whim on NCsoft. If that ever gets resolved, and I ain't holdin' my breath on that one, then maybe we'll be in a position to market ourselves to younger gamers as an entry level, free MMO that's easy to play.

@leeper48 probably has a better answer, but for me this did not prevent me from printing the model. I just ignored it.

You may get less PER CHARACTER, but overall you could get more if you are controlling all the characters in the run. For instance, there are some findings in this thread on Reddit. Let's say it takes you roughly 30 minutes to finish a 125 run, whether you are running 1-3 characters at the same time on the same machine. At the end of that 30 minutes, would you rather have, say, 30 million from 1 character, 40 million from 2 characters, or 50 million from 3 characters? Probably the latter, even though per character you are earning less than you would with just 1. It still took just 30 minutes of your time and required minimal effort to get an extra 20 million. I guess you could Dyson Sphere that thing and control all 8 spots, but as was mentioned earlier we limit to just 3 at max, assuming all other conditions are favorable.

That's 30 minutes or less worth of work for a multiboxer. I like #125 "Bloody Rainbow" for that.

What about an 11 foot pole? You know, for things you wouldn't touch with a 10 foot pole.

Excuse me... Exit the mission Rate the mission Accept new AE message with TP options Enter the new mission That's assuming they've already checked the autoaccept level invitations setting. And they still have to go sell stuff at some point, even with double XP turned on. We're talking about significant effort here, dude.

True, I was thinking of it from the perspective of a team or league leader being the streamer, in which case when they posted to LFG or whatever you would see that "on air" icon in front of their name and you could then decide if you want to join or not. But, yes, as a team or league member you wouldn't know until they spoke. But, that's not really different than what we have now. In fact, even IF we had something over a characters head it would be a voluntary display. What we are talking about here would be a courtesy a streamer might choose to do for fellow players, but is not required to do.
-
I like the "On Air" idea - what if instead of having yet another thing floating over your head, when you are "On Air" then some kind of fancy broadcasting icon preceded your name in chat?

The TFJ folks are great, with the possible exception of Bright Phoenix who always insists on being the last person to click to start a trial. Even then, he's pretty cool. The LFG channel is the best source, I believe. Also, our Player Led Event calendar under this forum *should* have anything that gets run "on the regs" and I think we should encourage it more broadly. Personally, I can rarely commit to certain date and time to run anything. Lastly, if you take note of who is doing badge runs, we are usually very open to taking requests. Just send us a tell saying "Hey, could you run TPN?" and I'll gladly respond back "I f'ing hate that trial with the white hot passion of a thousand suns, but Bright Phoenix may run it for you because he is easily entertained."

I want fewer buttons to press as I grow older and grumpier. I'd be down for powers that are automatically on, or fire automatically under certain circumstances. As in, I die and everyone around me gets a strong heal. That sorta thing. Oh, and I think we can all agree that Judgement would be cooler if you could summon a stampede of ghost horses. Right? Right?

I like the idea, just trying to figure out how it would actually be helpful in game. I'll be honest, the most I tend to do is click on someone and check the TARGET window to make sure they are the right level, or level shift. I guess if you DON'T want to be streamed you might look at everyone in the team/league, but that doesn't mean that they AREN'T streaming. I don't stream a lot, but I do have it set up so my ugly mug covers the chat area. Balloons can still be seen, of course, and for MSRs I run a script that captures stuff in LOCAL and embeds it in the video stream itself, so we can share dad jokes or whatever. That makes it more of an "opt in" activity. But anyone watching the stream can still see your character name, and possibly catch a balloon from you.

The Super Glue in my Junk Drawer™️did not work at all, and the gorilla glue worked on an elder wand I printed pretty good, but yeah... not so much here. Maybe what was in the Junk Drawer ™️was Great Value Sooper Gloo. I'll see if I can find some with the fancy chemical name you mentioned. Gotta get some model paint anyway so I have a trip to the store in my future. Any recommendations on the paint?

Someone online asked tonight if I'd had any more success. I did do another print that was probably twice as large, and accidentally WITHOUT supports. I thought I had that box checked but I guess not. I actually had better results... except the arms. The arms had nothing to support them, so I ended up with spaghetti arms, which was actually kind of intriguing. I was able to split up the figure in my slicing software (I used the Creality software for this step), then I deleted everything but the torso and arms and laid those down flat. Printed perfectly. I've done some surgery to transplant 1 arm, but the other is proving a little more resistant to gorilla glue. The hat did not come out as well as I would have liked but I may be able to shape it some. For those curious, those are glow in the dark Green Lantern rings in the back along with an Enterprise. Currently printing a Tardis puzzle box.

It's not great, but I did write a powershell script that could do this, and some of the other stuff you mentioned. I was a programmer once until I took an arrow in the knee, and I hoped someone would take the concept and create an actual program for it. It needs to run on a second monitor, and by default is designed to highlight certain keywords. It could easily be reconfigured to exclude certain lines, as you suggest. I would love to see some enhancements to chat, including loading the last X minutes of LFG when you log in, highlighting team and/or league leader chat, and limiting users ability to post to LFG to 1 post per minute (because, seriously, I don't need to have second-to-second updates on how your DFB is filling up). I have also supported the suggestion you made to be able to ignore someone for, say, an hour or a day.

I have a Quest 2, but I haven't even attempted to get COH to work on it. My guess is that it would need to work like Bigscreen or streaming apps (Netflix, etc.) where you would have a screen you would be looking at.
-
Let's all chip in and buy a 30 second ad during the next Super Bowl. I'm thinking maybe a QR code that bounces around the screen.

What comic book character can you NOT create?

It isn't? Then I'm not at all clear what it is about. The shortcomings of the costume creator? I didn't really spell it out in the first post, but I was really wondering about what powers and powersets exist in comics that we can't closely approximate in the game right now. I gave the example of Beast Boys' shapechanging ability, not his costume. It was meant to be a light topic, potentially (if I dared to dream) somewhat of a list of other powers that could be developed for the game. But, of course, my true intent was to sew discontent and inspire bickering, so yay me. -
I think you just added this to step 14, and that seems to have fixed it for me. I'll have to check later if the crashing thing persists, but I'm optimistic. It's been no trouble at all - I've learned a lot this weekend! I have a PC sitting here I used to play COH on, and I think I may set it up as my character capture one, just to keep everything separate. I appreciate all your help!

I need some help now backing out of this because I'm pretty sure it's causing my game to crash A LOT. I think the problem is GLIntercept. I noticed after installing all the software that the game looked different - most colors were brighter, and some colors were different (like inside the Lambda base, for instance). It didn't look wrong, just different. But like I say the game keeps crashing on me, straight to desktop. I uninstalled and removed all the files mentioned above, and made sure I had no arguments in the command line, but the colors are still the same so I figure I'm gonna continue crashing. Any ideas what GLIntercept may have changed that maybe I need to reinstall?

I got a complete print, but as you can see I had several problems. The right arm just never worked out and may have just been a hiccup with that particular print. The whole time it was printing I could see that arm just flailing around. 🙂 The left arm looked good once I cut away the supports. However, the whole thing fell into thirds as I cut away the supports, so not much to show there. Broke right at the knees and neck. I think your instructions are sound, I just need to learn more about Blender and Cura, and really the whole 3D printing process. This is my first 3D printer, and my first Benchy print was Friday evening, so I'm pretty happy to be at this point pretty quickly. For anyone who cares, here is the Ender 3 I purchased for $189, here is the filament I used, and here is a flexible magnetic bed cover I ordered that should be here in a couple hours.
-
@leeper48 The first grab I tried was me standing in Ouro, so there was a ton of stuff to delete. Then I saw your instructions later down that suggested grabbing from a tailor - that worked better. I didn't see a lot to prune after with step 33. When I imported into Cura I had a popup listing some warnings and highlighting some areas. I ignored that, resized, and went straight to a gcode file because I really have the patience of your average 3 year old. It's printing right now, but will probably need to do so overnight. I had some failures today trying to print some LOTR rings and rebalanced the board before this print, so here's hoping. I'll share my results. Thanks for catching me online and checking! UPDATE: Guess I need some aqua net or something, the whole thing moved once the boots were printed and it went south from there. Boots looked good though! 😀 I’ll post once I have a print.

@leeper48 Remember that I added the bin folder. I blacked out the player account folders. Also, I don't mind updating to the new loader, just wasn't sure that was a requirement.
-
I could not find a \bin folder in my game directory, so I had to create it and the folders underneath. Step 18 does not create the pause you suggested, so I feel like maybe I got off track having to create those folders. I wonder - I am still using Tequila (and I pasted in the parameter you mentioned on step 14, and I wonder if these instructions were built with the new loader in mind? Maybe that loader creates these folders mentioned above?
