  1. You can meet those requirements pretty easily all ways round - but I think what I want to know before suggesting anything is what is your regular playstyle? What do you enjoy most? If you want to be in the thick of things, then you probably want a tank/brute. If you want something flexible and mobile a Widow or SoA is a very good option (when going SoA just continue the centre path ignoring the Crab/Bane) If you want to be mobile, useful on teams and quite handy solo a controller is a good option (yes most have pets but they are largely fire and forget) and I would recommend Plant or Ice as primaries, secondaries depending on your taste. Sentinels... well I've heard they are pretty close to what you want but my experience of them has been they are pretty boring but you may think differently. As others have pointed out there are always going to be weaknesses to any AT - that's part of the beauty of this game - so you will always have to compromise and mitigate. The real question is how do you want to play?
  2. the most mavity place in the game is Croatoa
  3. Just don't listen to "Here come the warm jets"
  4. I do not, but now that you've asked me I fear it's going to relate to 10cc Well I wasn't so wrong. A giant steampunk sybian.
  5. Are you going to roll a toon called Steel Eyed Anne now?
  6. Thanks Significantly earlier than I'd anticipated then
  7. So there is a potential spoiler I'd taken this to be almost at the very end of the Praetorian story - post Cole's self-immolation when essentially they realise the ruling cabal has shot all its bolts and Primes have won. But I do not recall when that indicated spoiler event comes in the story and I may have my timelines borked. But one thing is very clear - this is clearly an exercise that would be very well to be done in sequence if possible to affix the story in our own heads as players.
  8. I do like how the OP thinks and I've expressed similar myself but I don't see it happening easily. It's possible to travel between worlds/times - in the Lady Grey TF The Honoree comes back with a Rikti army but many losses are incurred just getting through. (I haven't yet run the advanced version so I'm uncertain if that changes anything materially) But yes the whole Honoree thing and Rikti are one of the great "loose ends" in the lore of this game and it would be great to put it to bed. We don't even yet know who Lady Grey is or why she sent us on that errand. Clearly the Rikti still have designs on earth given they are trying to harness the power of Hamidon. With Nemesis' involvement as well, it is a story worth exploring and telling.
  9. I have a base already, called the Glass House. It's made of bricks That is incongruous in itself. But that's probably more a reflection of my (lack of) skills in building. I recall it was possible to make huge bases - effectively a single plot massive entrance room that is divided by walls we place ourselves. I don't know if that's still possible but if it is, how do I do it. My vision for this is a large base, not overly large but in a world where I have the ability, multi-level, and interesting for visitors, where most of it looks like glass or at least partially transparent, and preferably floating in space. That leaves questions such as how do I anchor the floor, made of what, and what goes under it? I have few building skills and issues withlong attention span so I will welcome any quick tips, advice, suggestions, guidance, what have you. Like I said I already have a base with storage, TPs etc whcih means I'm probably going to have to build around some of it (unless I can build a base and import it somehow?) so I've probably made a rod for my own back but so be it. If you're struggling with the concept, try imagining Superman's Ice Palace melded with Gerry Anderson's Skybase from Captain Scarlet (the original puppet series) but with views outside from inside
  10. I actually omitted a very important consideration in the above: SG Bases - many players LOVELOVELOVE building, and produce wonderful, amazing results and other players (like me) while lacking the skilz/patience/ability to learn base building get great pleasure from them and the love, attention to detail and passion some have for a beautifully crafted base. That's actually a significant reason not to tinker too much with what we have now.
  11. Absolutely. Unless you're extremely unfortunate 🤣
  12. I know this will leave many of you headscratching. But for some of us it makes perfect sense and brings back joyful memories too - so excuse the puns and enjoy
  13. When we write stories for the AE, we clearly become Arkwrights. So presumably we can only set them in G-g-g-g-grandville!
  14. I am very open to correction on this but I thought most arcs were roughly indicated by level. We've been doing regular arcs at high 20s, low 30s in First & Night Ward - which would indicate to me those come before the Tina Mac arcs that bring on the end game. Are there further First Ward arcs at 50+?
  15. One of my takes from this thread is the issue of personal storage - which almost everyone seems to desire. I can't help but feel that increasing it or in any way allowing more to be stored damages the economy of the game, by removing stuff from circulation. The more personal storage there is, the fewer items on the MP, so the prices go up across the board and exponentially for the rarer items. As others have remarked, at a practical level, there's little to work for in actually getting a base or SG off the ground, meaning that the group element of supergroup is pretty redundant. To me, that's the key to storage but even on live I recall there were many issues with people taking stored items from base storage that others felt they were not entitled to. The only way I see to resolve this is likely to be highly unpopular; restore the need for Group Prestige - base items need to be paid for (and is it even a practicable suggestion?) and also potentially to reduce storage capacity across the board forcing players to prioritise and where necessary unload their shinies. Given that would likely cause uproar, I can't see much better alternative than maintaining the status quo
  16. I couldn't get past your titular earworm
  17. Well it stopped working for me suddenly. I saw no notification and I could not connect using Tequila. That's all I'm saying. It was very sudden and unannounced.
  18. Props to you for psotting that ytop
  19. I think you'll find that tomorrow is Brubeck day 5/4
  20. because it's that day, again
  21. I want either Cloudbase or Tracey Island. Nothing less will suffice.
