Glad these builds are here I will be trying to slap some of these ideas onto my dark/Invul unless someone just posts the rock solid build i needI need
-
I have two 50s now woot! My first one is the DM/Inv and is the one I plan on doing most of my end game content for the next month or two as I knock off the rust. I feel this is the strongest build for me. I enjoy it and it allows me to keep an eye on the mission flow rather than micromanage character actions i ran a few DM Invul back on live. My strongest was a high recharge build that I think was posted by Leandro or Hyperstrike or another really smart high end grinder. I was amazed how vicious the build was and did some insane stuff in it i have my first incarnate shift. I took agility for the Alpha. This was suggested for the benefits of defense to invulnerability. It also gives global recharge which builds right back into the high recharge benefits to DM/Inv. I chose Diamagnetic and Void as the next two incarnate powers. I want to push the Dark bonuses both because I feel they are strong and cool. The character concept is magic undead. Any suggestions for incarnate powers are appreciated. Any suggestions on build would be appreciated too even if it is just recommending sets to slot. The new sets are not included on the Paragon wiki and I will need to mess around on builder to piece out a build. I am definitely a better grinder than I am a character designer. I just enjoy running content my basic build goals are softcap s/l def and then s/l res cap and energy res cap. A good amount of recharge would also be nice it is relatively easy to grind enhancer sets for me because I love to grind so much. So any suggestions can include high end enhancer procs and sets. I of course include all the great procs already as well as Brute Sets. Not even sure if I can slot the superior as well as the regular sets or if I should. Again very rusty and just getting back into it plus new stuff thank you for any input

Really glad I saw this just as I was in character creator. I. Caked up and changed from tech robot to magic undead and was happier as I ran the character. Yes. Jazz hands. And magic

I take all powers in Dark Melee. I have to take a fighting pick but I rarely use it unless my speed is needed to crap. Because dark is filled with utility powers and the big ST is late it is important to keep the tier 1 and tier 2 fast hitting attacks chewing at your enemy. And remember each quick hit Debuffs their to hit effectively increasing your defense. The whole set is very good. The only time you should be making a choice what to hit is the shadow maul and the midnight grasp. Use those against healthier targets and do not waste them Spam the targeted heal whenever it is up.

Dark Melee Viable? Hmmm. Long time Brute player here. I run two sets into the ground on Brute Builds. Super Strength because Smash! And Dark Melee. Because Dark Melee is the stronger of the two. It has a heal. It has a PBAoE end recovery power. It has. PBAoE 30 second buff power with no crash. It has a mean ST damage curve. My main 50 I just started running End game with is a Dark Melee Invulnerability Brute. With agility Alpha the little AoEs come up regular enough to be useful as AoE. But I ran this build on live before incarnated with over 200% Rech and it was the meanest thing I ever saw. So yeah. Dark Melee is viable

I have to agree. I ran my first couple years redside. I am a grumpy introvert with a bit of a chip on my shoulder. But enough about how you suck after getting comfortable running my characters and game content I watched people and started behaving like the cool kids. A sociopath has to learn how to fit in after all Now I tend to run rogues. The snarky only comes out if children spam help

Yeah hurl bites. I would even take it if the animation was cool. But.m it just bites
-
I used the jump pack as my ghetto travel power on many brutes from issue 10 on when I joined. It was never buggy. I ran through the whole charge without turning it off and it cycled back. Just. Like. Any. Other. Power

Altitus is cruel lol. Got all content through level 14 Blueside done and realized the character concept was not going to make me happy. Very sturdy DM/Will Brute like many CoX players I am concept driven. I like characters who do not use weapons and that naturally limits some choices i like the idea of Kinetics Melee. I played it briefly at low levels on live years ago. So I have no idea how it is really can you folks let me know it’s strengths and weaknesses? I play a lot of SS and Dark Melee Brutes and once in a while a low is energy melee.
-
For me the fastest and easiest is dark melee willpower brutes. Just cruise control solo. The fastest leveling is any combo combo you like on high level teams or at least teams your level.

I was just wondering how strange my gaming behavior is. Yours is probably stranger. I have been back about two months. I started with alts and am still alting. I have one 50 that I have done no 50 content on. Parked immediately and alted. I mostly run the same content on my alts. DFBs and to a lesser extent DiB. I try to do all Blueside TFs in order on each one to get a feel for the powers and play style. On about a quarter I do all banks if I start a villain immediately hit D see the gull and go Vigilante. Blueside is where the teams and TFs are after all. I have a level 20 solo redside project parked and a level 15 solo Blueside. All content all contacts. Probably reroll the Blue. Not loving the concept for a toon I will be on for months i think I finally found the character I will run for incarnate content. The first 50 I had on live when I started in issue 10. SS/Invul Brute. I got one to 42 this weekend on a random alt and then rerolled for a different origin and to hit banks redside. Now at 31. This toon has all my cash and goodies. 7 ATOs the 3% procs for res and def a set of Gaussian a set of Makos bite all the Health Procs a couple Lotg etc. it is not the wealth I had after years on live but it is running pretty smooth. The best part is all of the inf to fund the build has come from low level alting most below 30. I just convert merits to converters and sell. Never possible to buy cool enhancers on live doing regular fun stuff. What I consider fun anyways. I need to download MIds and tune a build to work for. All my ideas are rusty and do not include ATOs and the tweaking they have done. But SS/Invul are pretty straightforward. I have 3 sets of 4 reactive armor and am building old school s/l def and pumping resists but not trying to warp the build to fill a psi hole or anything. Just ordering off the menu. Anyways that is what I been doing. Happily grinding in almost all my free time and so grateful to have my game back see you in the city! Snarks on Everlasting

Hey folks. I am a grinder and my mediocre building chips are years rusty. Could someone post a SS/Invul build that I can shoot for? I already have a few good sets and will be grinding the rest ASAP. Nice goal To keep the grinder going i take fly from fly pool usually no afterburner I take kick because I Line the animation and the 2 fighting toggles I would like to fit taunt for team utility if there is room and it makes a good set mule? Physical perfection for pool powers any suggestion for leftover powers like maybe hand clap never used it but always played SS/Invul early in live when fitness was 3 slots the origin is tech build goals is sheer toughness and fun in incarnate trials So suggestions for what incarnate powers are needed I have not run incarnate since live thank you

So I spent all Friday night and all day Saturday soloing Blueside arcs on my brand new Dark/Invul. Level 14. Tons of badges and merits. It was two AM Sunday and I am going to sleep reading the boards. People are talking about dodging SS Rage crash and not taking Unstoppable on Invulnerability. My mind nearly explodes. Are they crazy? I am not going to even give the arguments merit. My first three 59s on live we’re SS/Invul. With single origin enhancers. The build ROCKS. So I got back up. An hour creating my character. A bodybuilder who got addicted to Superdine then turned into a zombie then cured from that by Crey with an experimental version of magically altered Superdine. Or maybe that stuff the freaks use Excelsior. Yeah I like that I am spitballing here. He flunked out of Arachnos training due to anger issues became rogue. Ran Blueside content for an hour. Went too bed. Got up and grind grind grind all day Sunday mostly Blue TFs. Ending PI radios for a couple levels. Level 40 in one day He has Rage. He has Unstoppable. I stripped some cash and enhancers to do it but he is 3/4 I/O with solid sets. Not optimal because as I was grinding I got hyperstrike s build guide mixed up with another posters and have makos bite in KO blow and other oddness. I can afford 80% of a fully pimped build at 50 with him.in. He will be my 2nd 50 on homecoming I have not run 50 content on my 1st. Just started alting again. I can tell I will be rolling incarnate stuff with this guy. Grinding cash and incarnate powers Switched him to Vigilante and will grind on. SMASHING

Yeah. Someone asked me today how an Invul Brute could be low on end. I have run various Invul brutes and a few Inv tankers. I was like wtf? How do you explain to someone how the ocean can be wet? I do not know what reality they live in but Invul eats end. I pair it with SS. My first 50 back in the day and with Dark. Dark solves a lot of the end issues. Stir just writing SS/Inv makes me want to alt another one and smash. It is late. I will dust off one or roll a new one. Because. Smash. Can someone email me some blues?

Actually keep it simple. Teleporters. I thought a vault would be easy since there is one in pocket d and a few other zones everyone can use. Workbenches for convenience. And. That. Is. All 99% of a bases usefulness is those teleporters. Let us not over complicate things. No extra coding needed. That exists. Access to more than your Sg base already exists. Hard coding the name and access code into the base portal memory cannot be rocket science. I have not coded in thirty years and I bet I could figure it out in less than an hour with zero knowlege of the game code going in. This is not 1337 Haxxor stuff. Just putting up an existing base zone that everyone can access with really basic services The SG base system exists. Teleporters to all zones exist the salvage storage exists in the base and is already coded personalized. No enhancer storage or inspiration storage or any item that requires base permissions. This would be A base just big enough to hold the teleporting an organized fashion and a little workroom
-
So back on live I had a few huge bases. Mostly for my alts. Ran some busy SGs for a few months. Never kept them going. Bases in the new game, from what I can tell, follow the same pattern. A number of super large active groups using a base and then a bunch of personal bases I suggest a generic SG that everyone can always use. Even if they are in a normal SG. This locker room SG would have all the regular amenities you normally cram into a base. Teleporters to all zones, workbenches, vault storage etc I propose a small map. Maybe half of the largest base currently available maybe even smaller like the smallest of the instance maps just a few rooms. Something that is very easy for a new user and versatile enough to be useful to a veteran. The benefits? Ease of use for players and fewer back End resources used by the game creating dozens of SH maps when most people just want to run through the same facilities The cost? Maybe an hour of a GMs time creating the base. Because. Drum roll the base shows up at every base portal and everyone has access to it with no code. Basically like a team members base Simple solution proposed

As far as I can remember DE do not drain endurance or otherwise mess with your end. Other than being tough as snot my guess is they would make a Sentry feel like a glass blaster by stacking immobs holds and stuns but that is a guess. They do not cut through a willpower’s defenses significantly more than other end game content. Some -def that is pretty normal. No -end or -rec. I am very curious how you are running a willpower’s brutes end bar down. The only toggle you have I do not normally run is the +acc one. I have never had a struggle with a Willpower Brutes End. I do ALWAYs put 2 End red in the 2 fighting toggles and put the equivalent or near so through sets in the Willpower toggles. Those enhancers exist for a reason. Willpower has top notch end recovery that does not mean it is endless. Cut down what is grinding away at your end where you can.

Chaos United is insanely active. I alt too much to be in it. They do not have room to warehouse alts. They are an active SG with a hyperactive network of alliances. They regularly host late game content from RWZ to iTrials to Hami to you name it. If you are dedicated to one character and want a TON of teaming this is where you want to be. Good luck
-
I do not understand how a pimped our Willpower Brute is short on end. Unless you are running all of leadership toggles as well as fighting toggles on top of willpower’s toggles. I honestly do not get that. Do you fight freak show are farms only? Because your problem may not be the build but where you are putting the character

Isn’t focused accuracy a bit of an end hog? Not sure Acc has two components. Not sure how it works but they are separate in combat attributes. There is a proc kismet + acc I think it’s called. It costs zero end
-
I have done this Redside back on live. I think like three times. Once on a SS/Inv and twice on SS/Will if memory serves. I never succeeded Blueside. I think 30s was as high as I got. I am talking every available story arc and all content. I have chosen a Dark/Will Brute for the attempt this time. I am glad the game is back. I never had an official badger and never siloed Blueside. So here I go. Dark/Will Brute is about the easiest character in the game in my opinion. Now I just gotta grind lol
-
There are the PROC enhancers I/o health class 2 of them give you constant inflow of added endurance. I do not have them memorized but they are way to find. Numina Regen Tissue and err another. And I get them mixed in my head which does what. Get them slot them be happy

11.5 hour work yesterday so very little gaming. Did get a SF and beat Dumay. Level 35. Still almost no attack slots. Started soloing Ghost Widows arc. Set at -1 for speed (I have been doing Mayhems all the way through). The PBAoE toggle confuse is impressive to me right now. Not sure if it’s effects on tougher mobs and more peeps but for a minimal Self damage it motivates a ton of incoming attacks. Which does not help Fury but I have the +Fury ATO in my tier 1. In easy environments I use the PBAOE +heal and the PBAoE +end as attacks instead of bar management. Usually right after my PBAoE +buff. It is a cheesy little chain that added with my toggles can really soften up mobs. In tough Environment (the first few missions in last nights SF were +4) Darks ability to chose how much agro it gets is very nice. At these levels it is almost surgical. Doubt it will be that smooth in Itrials
-
I like it. I just made up a new zombie hero Snarkrot and will be trying to solo all Blue content with him. I think I will go with this build as the leveling build thank you. He will be bathing in merits if I keep at it so should be able to pay as he goes

At 32 now. I am pretty broke in the new game. Been back on almost 2 months. Invested nearly everything I got into this build. +3 res def 2 kB procs 4 Brute ato in tier 1 attack dark Regen frankenslotted 3 theft of essence and 3 Nicky’s. A kismet +acc. Numina Regen tissue. Etc blah blah blah. At 32 with all this on it is very playable. Have very little slotting in attacks because toggles are taking all slots. Still it is starting to be fun. Will keep on it
