  1. Since we received Marine affinity, we now have dedicated elemental support for fire, water and air. I think it would be neat if we had an earth-themed support set that mixes forcefield and some other setts, shields, buffs, debuffs, etc. Especially considering we also got Storm Blast and Seismic Blast to fulfill those niches in attacks. I've theorycrafted some powers as a little side activity, these aren't dedicated suggestions, just something that interested me. It's of course up to the devs, if they even consider this suggestion, as to how the set would work. "You can control the forces of the Earth. You can manipulate earth and stone to defeat your foes and defend your allies. The staggeringly tough force of many Earth Powers can enhance a target Defense. Being of the Earth, you are the most powerful while on the ground. While grounded, your powers increase your spiritual connection to the earth as you use them. As your Earth Spirit builds, the effectiveness of your support powers also increase. While at full stacks of Earth Spirit, you will also be protected against knockback, repel and teleport, making it hard for enemies to move you. You may have a maximum of five stacks of Earth Spirit, all stacks will be consumed when you use a power that uses Earth Spirit. Quake Create a small earthquake underneath a single target, slowing their movement and attack rate, and dealing minor damage over time (smashing). This power generates Earth Spirit. Mud Therapy You can use your knowledge of weaving the earth to heal yourself and your allies. This power has a small radius, so your allies need to be near you if they wish to be affected. This power generates Earth Spirit Stone Shield Dramatically protects an ally from Smashing, Lethal and all Melee attacks for a limited time. You cannot stack multiple Stone Shields on the same target; however, the shield can be improved by another ally using the same power. Can also be used in conjunction with your Mud Shield You cannot use this power on yourself. Mud Shield Envelope an ally in pure mud. The Mud Shield gives your ally resistance to Energy, Negative Energy, and Fire damage. You cannot stack multiple a Mud Shields on the same target, however the shield can be improved by another ally using the same power. Can also be used in conjunction with your Stone Shield. You cannot use this power on yourself. Stone Shards (Targeted AOE) The overwhelming force from this power is enough to crack the Armor and defenses of all targets in the affected area. Stone Shards significantly weakens the Defense and Damage Resistance of the affected targets. This power generates Earth Spirit. Ancestral Spirit Revives a fallen ally. The Ancestral Spirit will guard the targeted ally, granting them enhanced resistance and defenses for a short while. Your ally will revive with most of their Hit Points and Endurance. They will also be invulnerable for a brief time, as well as protected from XP Debt for 90 seconds. Kinetic Sand Imbue an ally with Kinetic Sand, which absorbs any negative powers cast on them, freeing them from any Disorient, Hold, Sleep, Slow, Confuse, Fear and Immobilize effects and leaves them resistant to such effects for a good while. Kinetic Sand also grants the target some resistance to lethal damage. Some of the effects of this power will improve with Multiple applications and as you advance in level. The effectiveness of this power is increased with more stacks of Earth Spirit Sandstorm Overwhelm a single foe with waves of blinding sand. The initial effect will drain the target of some Endurance, but the sand is so overwhelming that the affected target will be blinded and weakened. His Damage output, Endurance Recovery and Hit Point Regeneration will all be reduced. The effectiveness of this power increases with more stacks of Earth Spirit. Stone Presence Becoming a conduit of the earth itself, you acclimate your allies to the incredible forces of the earth! This boosts the resistance, defense and damage of all nearby allies. Some of these effects will decay over time to a lower value. The effectiveness of this power increases with more stacks of Earth Spirit. ==
  2. You spin the scythe in Guild Wars 2 and FFXIV like that though. It's a video game, it doesn't have to be realistic. You wouldn't spin a weapon with an axe blade like that either, and yet that's already a weapon in the staff set...
  3. Which is exactly why I suggested it could have a pointed edge like the axe polearm that's already in-game. I know this game's code is made of spaghetti and scotch tape, but it might be possible to just clone the polearm and reskin it
  4. Multiple people I've talked to have all expressed the desire for a scythe style weapon on staff fighting, this is only one of many different conversations as evidence. Some of us love the set, and want to make edgy reaper style characters akin to FFXIV, ESO, GW2, etc. It could be a good addition for RP and cosmetic purposes. We already have a scythe like weapon in the infernal ice blade in Titan Weapons, but it doesn't always work for the concepts we have (and some of us prefer staff over it). As seen in the screenshot, for example, the infernal ice scythe can't made to be look dark or like a sort of shadow scythe. I've seen some prompts that stabbing attacks on staff would look silly with a scythe, but the polearm has a little bladed edge, a similar thing can be done with a scythe skin to 'explain' that. As seen in the edited picture provided.

  8. Hm, weird that it got removed. Here you go!
  9. Oop, my bad, posted this in a half asleep state, sorry!
  10. That's another thing, if you play a knockoff with a similar story or appearance, but entirely different name, it counts as a parody, which is allowed under copyright. As long as the character isn't an exact copy, you're fine.
  11. One of the ones I'm most proud of recently is a Blue Beetle Cosplay
  12. I have a yugioh inspired character that summons monsters and uses cards similarly to Gambit called Deckhand
  13. This, but as far as I'm aware actual public domain characters are allowed, this means characters that have absolutely no copyright or trademark anywhere, so be sure to do extensive research to make sure they are actually public domain. Also, scroll over the ToS and CoC just to make absolutely sure they're allowed.
  14. I have two mains at the moment. First, a ghost witch that protects and shelters outcasts and monsters, her theme is Ava of Death And secondly, a werecrow with similar powers to Mot and a similar sort of 'eternal hunger'/darkness that threatens to consume them, They are from the netherworld and can control shadows. Also a guide to the afterlife. Their theme is When The Darkness Comes

  17. I drew one of my favorite characters, a werecrow named Morrigan
  18. Thank you for the advice and suggestions, everyone! I still really enjoy this combo, and did find that build on this forum somewhere and only altered it slightly. These are all very valid points, and I really do appreciate the feedback! Can't wait to build out this character 😀
  19. Thanks, will change that, this is an older build and I haven't played that set in a while, but that's a good catch, especially if Cash wanted to use it!
  20. I'm not a frequent tank player, I vastly prefer support, but I wanted to make a tank for end-game starred content. Currently levelling a Rad/Dark Tank and loving the set, I can see plenty of potential for damage with procs in this set. The resists are a bit overkill and I can't figure out how to transfer that to defense. Is this build good, or are there some changes I can/should make to get a little more defense? 21. Here's my Triple Dark Dom with Stealth. Plays kind of like a stalker with CC, and Hide+Possess with the Contagious Confusion makes it fun, can turn a whole crowd on each other before even engaging. Dark-Dark Dominator.mxd
  23. Doors at the whole opposite corner of a zone is usually too far for me, (looking at you, Market Crash), I usually prefer to just travel around and immerse myself in the game I'm playing instead of being reliant on fast travel, but having played CoH for a few years, most of the zones have become too familiar to really enjoy the landmarks and whatnot, so I've found myself doing the TP thing a lot more lately. Also this;
  24. This seems very accurate, I adore grand stories and immersive games, and love playing support roles and helping new/inexperienced players in online games.
  25. This is a difficult choice for me as I rarely spend money on games due to either friends gifting them or real-life situations (I'm mostly broke and usually need the money for other, more important things, besides games here cost upwards of 1k ZAR). I own plenty on Steam and GoG, but I think the most I paid for a game personally was Guild Wars 2, I brought all the expansions except one out of my own pocket on sale and while I haven't played it recently, I can still say I feel like that was worth every cent.
