  1. Nope, not going to do it. How about I instead?
  2. This was honestly my second biggest complaint about the Ninjitsu port (the first was my - admittedly unpopular - belief that some powersets should remain unique to some ATs, and it fits Stalkers more thematically than any other AT). If you're going to remove useless powers and replace them with not only good ones, but good auto powers that don't require any thought or maintenance and plug the most-complained about hole in the set, do it for all of the versions.
  3. Vigor Partial Core. Edit to add: if there are any more specific questions about this build or challenge, just PM me. We've derailed the thread enough - suffice it to say that I'm satisfied with the capability of an average player (me) to build and survive well with Time Manipulation, even without Power Boosted Farsight. Thus my shrugging and saying "sure" to removing the ability to boost it. Defenses are in the 50s, resistances are 26-35%, plus Time's Juncture adds -tohit and -damage. She survives much more than my SR Sentinel, who has a similar number of hit points with the same defense levels.
  4. 4:14 with 8 GMs (4 Strophoria - the ones with the holds, 2 Lattice, 2 Quarries) without Clarion; you can make it between heal recharges if you don't get hit by back-to-back holds, which is what happened. 2 holds and one footstomp got through, the DoT from the second hold got me.
  5. Clarion Partial Core for mez protection. It's available in my regular PvE play, why wouldn't I? I also used Ionic to get the attention of some of the mobs, but I could have been working harder to stay alive by using attacks. I just assumed that the point was the gather and stay alive? Edit to address the other questions/comments edited into the post I quoted originally: Chrono Shift is a self heal (and heal over time) along with Temporal Mending; those are the two self heals I was referring to. Indefinitely I would have to see; it's mostly a matter of the RNG. I would also clarify that since the issue is surviving burst damage that gets through your defense it's mostly a matter of hit points.
  6. Not really sure what the challenge is supposed to be beyond "herd as many GMs as you can as long as you can"? Made it to 8:57 with 7 GMs on my Ice/Time Corruptor in the Abyss on Reunion, who had been safe enough I thought I'd be fine going afk to post this instead of paying attention to the clicks. It took about a minute after I swapped windows to die with my not doing anything but standing there. When I was actually paying attention to the game, my hp dropped below half a few times from some lucky hits, but my defense was consistently in the 50s and I had multiple self heals to counteract what came through. I probably could have gathered more, but didn't want some losing attention while I was trying to get more, so just herded them to a bridge that was in the middle of 4 spawns. Overall, I think I took more damage from the swarms than the GMs. You're welcome to come watch if you don't buy it, but right now I'd say your problem with Time is part build and possibly play, not the set.
  7. Yes, infinitely more survivable - after all, Super Reflexes characters never die, right? Ever? Because that's the only way your b******t hyperbole holds true. And I would argue that a well-built and remotely-competently played Time Manipulation character - even without Power Boosted Farsight - is just as survivable as either Super Reflexes or Ninjitsu. As for the bug... uhm, yes, there isn't a bug. It's not working as intended, the +resistance being affected by +damage in Fade is a bug, and should be fixed. It is far more egregious than the lack of a defense crash in Rage. There isn't a bug with regard to Farsight, but it's inconsistent with similar self-affecting powers. Or they could use Power Build Up, which already provides +68% damage and comes in an APP with additional +res powers to stack it with. Throw in Aim for more silliness if you want.
  8. The external buffs are tracked at activation and last the full duration of the power. Toggles refresh every so often (typically every 0.5 to 2 seconds) with a very short duration, and that counts as a new activation.
  9. (yeah, it's not the original... but it's the first one I heard and became a theme song for the class during precalc and trig. :P)
  10. (well, that didn't go the way I was expecting... I figured something like this or this instead... oh well, here goes)
  11. No, those powers get people who didn't build for the non-Incarnate softcap up to the Incarnate softcap. I specifically mentioned Maneuvers because enough people take it just to have an extra spot for LotG that you'll probably get the 14% defense you need (or less based on the specific build you're running) from that alone.
  12. While I agree about the slot usage, I used to joke that my AoE attack chain on my first Fire/Fire Blaster was BU+Fireball+Inferno+Rise of the Phoenix. Of course, at the time Inferno crashed your endurance...
  13. From my experience in iTrials there are typically enough people running defense buffs that affect others (typically Maneuvers) that anyone who built for non-Incarnate softcap will still get there, not even taking into account how many people take Barrier. In DA I'm not fighting +4/x8 because Incarnate shifts kick in and the mobs are only +1.
  14. Contagious Confusion proc. It'll hit often enough you're going to get bosses because of the long recharge, it doesn't require extra animation time, and usually the spawn won't live long enough for it to wear off. I 6-slotted Coercive Persuasion to get softcapped ranged defense, but I would have slotted the proc regardless. With it I can treat Aura of Confusion as a mag 6 AoE confuse.
  15. Nitpick: technically you could use Power Build Up at 35 instead of Power Boost at 41; it's on the same base recharge as Farsight instead of half, though, so you would likely need to invest slots to it. That would give you both powers at 30 when exemping (36 for PB). As for TW and game balance, that was something the HC devs inherited - it was live at shutdown in a set that you had to pay to have, even for subscribers, and balance fixes to it would be far more involved than flipping a couple of boolean attributes on two powers. The ease of this suggestion is most of why I support it, and it really is a bug fix for Fade.
  16. That would involve changing most of the power system so that you could track external buff durations on clicks just to avoid setting a flag to true that already exists on two powers. Sure, you can do it. It would just be one of the biggest wastes of time you could possibly invest.
  17. I'll echo the call for Mind Link - my build is softcapped without it but it's good for providing a cushion for when you start getting hit with defense debuffs to prevent a cascade failure, or it puts you well over the incarnate softcap, and if you went with recharge to get a tighter attack chain it's not hard to perma. The 30% psi resistance is also nice and covers the hole for any teammates when you're facing off against psi damage, and since the animation doesn't root you can use it while traveling between spawns.
  18. Two things: I'm for flagging Farsight. I think if it needs anything in return, the only change would be removing the rooting from the animation and allow people to use it while running/jumping. Comparing with the closest possible analog, Mind Link, which also doesn't receive any benefit from outside effects: yes, Mind Link gets you 30% psi resistance, but has less +to-hit (helpful for people trying to boost their snipes), a shorter duration (interrupting your attack chain more often), and a longer animation (so the interruption lasts longer unless you're running at the time, since Mind Link doesn't root). Depending on the AT, Mind Link is either lower (Defenders) or slightly higher (anyone else) in defense than Farsight. Then again, my Ice/Time Corruptor doesn't have Power Boost, so changing the flag doesn't affect me. Fade should definitely be flagged to not accept outside buffs, simply due to the resistance effect. This one is purely for consistency of how the flag is applied, whereas the Farsight change is more about trying to make similar powers operate the same way. Okay, I've expressed my opinion. You may now go back to your regularly scheduled arguments and trolling of each other.
  19. (another one I'm pretty sure was back a few pages)
  20. (or this... or this...)
  21. Oh, I knew they were in the thread a way back (I wasn't sure how far back), but they seemed appropriate responses. Just like I'm sure that this is probably already earlier as well:
