  1. Support isn't perma, and incarnates should never be looked at when looking at individual sets balance.
  2. (11.25+7.5+2.63)x1.54= 32.93 (and only when they're in dispersion too which is another part of it), not sure how you're getting 43%.
  3. And for a Force fielder trying to get the max defense on a team, will get screwed in the meantime. If anything, this should not roll out until FF gets fixed. IE, ad absorb proccing to dispersion bubble, detention field being a hold instead, providing DDR, etc. But also the part of that being about the only useful part to powerboost in the long run. If it's going to lose that, it definitely at least need to be an auto power that boosts your stuff on the back end.
  4. As one specific AT, with one specific primary, having to choose one specific epic power, no I don't.
  5. And would also be useless.
  6. Exactly right there, so there are already situations where it has less use, and not only that but you have to wait till epic powers to even be able to do that, when most other plays have already worked their defenses and skills around needing it in the first place. So when we're talking about one or two specific sets, getting one specific power (again, really the only reason to bother with the power) it's not that much. I'll also state how I honestly can't even think of a time i've actually teamed with anyone who uses this said combo, so there's that too. Not saying it isn't useful, but THAT'S WHAT IT'S THERE FOR.
  7. I've always said it should boost resistance, regen, and recovery buffs as well, but then you're looking at the same complaints (which aren't large enough to justify imo since that IS WHAT THE POWER IS SUPPOSED TO DO) otherwise, you're literally taking away the whole point of the power.
  8. Because you still have lessened health because of the easily higher attacks that got through that tiny absorb.
  9. Yeah, it does that one tiniest fraction of an absorb, and that's it, in any other situation, healing back from the damage done (and consecutive healing getting back to full) does a lot more, than a tiny absorb that replaces itself.
  10. Except it's not a heal, its an absorb, so when there is one on you, any subsequent tics are literally doing nothing to help you.
  11. You slotted and know what you're doing to where you worked yourself around not needing the absorb anyway sure, but that doesn't mean what I have said in regards to the current aborb amount versus the use of the regen/heal proc aren't true.
  12. Except that it is VERY limited in doing that for only a handful of sets, and they are forced to choose that epic in order to do so. I don't see it's literally ONLY really viable use in a small handful of circumstances as a huge issue. Removing this ability would all but completely invalidate the power as it is. I have explained why in my previous post. If you change or remove this mechanic, you may as well just get rid off the power entirely.
  13. Then go play blasters more. Numbers are numbers. Your "belief" doesn't change the fact that the absorb amount is not enough for the blaster, and would be better suited if it stacked each absorb tic, or if the absorb was larger even with a slower proc rate.
  14. Note I'm not saying absorb is a bad mechanic, simply that the stats for the absorb powers are not indicative to how a blaster works. If the absorb would stack with itself (ie like how healing does up to full), or be a larger, yet slower amount (ie same absorb per second) then it would work much better (ie not useless with almost all of the absorb constantly wasted by not stacking or being too low of a value).
  15. Yes cause we're always just standing around in lava for no reason as a blaster... When an even level minnion can break through that absorb it isn't doing anywhere near enough that it needs to. The way that blasters take damage they will take a burst damage and hopefully kill whatever is attacking them before more comes through. Once that happens, when the absorb already did next to nothing since it was broken in .0454 seconds and then the blaster got all the damage after that, then yay they get another tiny tic of absorb and still left with no health for future damage. Unless the absorb stacks with itself, or is large enough to at least stop a good bit of the first damage then it is next to completely useless. Otherwise the regen/ heal helps a ton to get you back to full for whatever you're fighting next (or during).
  16. Except for how tiny the absorb is and the lack of any base defense/resistance in their sets, such a tiny aborb is practically useless, and means nothing between mobs because it doesn't stack. When I originally saw these powers in the patch notes for i24, I assumed that the absorb would stack with itself, which is the only real way it would be useful (besides increasing the absorb amount/ proc rate as i mentioned). Otherwise I would 100% prefer the regen or heal proc instead.
  17. Going to say again, do NOT touch this. Powerboost boosting defense powers on it's own, is about it's only beneficial mechanic. Heals, too timely and circumstantial, to hit, not really affecting much end game there, holds/controls, already get pushed to the wayside most of the time endgame, and enemies are dead usually before they expire. As mentioned before, honestly I'd rather see a BUFF to powerboost, to also include regen and recovery buffs like AM, wild growth, etc, but as it stands using powerboost for things like FF shields are about the only real use for the power, and you have to usually get a crappy epic in order to get power boost. Now how clarion interactcs with it, you could take a look at that and i wouldn't be too let down, but in NO way, should powerboost be nerfed because of long duration defense powers.
  18. No, what i was saying was that since they DON'T have defense/resistance abilities as well, that tiny amount of absorb basically does nothing. What I DID say was to increase the absorb amount, BUT also increase the proc time on the absorb, so it's still the same amount of absorb/second, but actually has a useful value amount of absorb to actually do something when it procs on.
  19. I'm pretty sure blizzard is on a 170s base recharge and inferno is on a 145s recharge, so I don't see how you're getting that...
  20. Also please for the love of God finish the superior version of the Overwhelming Force set.
  21. Nerf... Personally this worries me a lot, though I have somewhat avoided TW in general cause I don't want it to spoil other sets too. I wouldn't want the set to change from what it is, as the mechanic can be fun and you WORK to make it pay off. If anything maybe just do a global 10% damage reduction on all TW attacks and call it a day. Please don't mess this up. Even now most procs I find annoying and only circumstantial, except those cases where you have to plan for those procs. In general I'm not a fan of them at all being wholly unreliable, the PPM system at least allows you to calculate the odds and slot around it so that they can actually be useful. They are after all taking the slot of something else that could be used to another effect. This makes me very nervous especially in the case of the scrapper, tanker, brute, defender, corruptor, stalker etc ATO procs which are key to those ATs and just wouldn't be the same if you couldn't rely on them as much. Also true for things like the gaussians proc in aim/bu type powers. But please DO look at procs like the knockback proc on the Stupefy set and fix it so it is a kb-kd/chance for kd proc like the overwhelming force set has. Cause as it stands it's almost useless, nay WORSE to slot that to try to get the 5th bonus in Stupefy. And especially for powers like hand clap and lightning clap which need the kb-kd in them to make them non-detrimental but may also want that 3.75% ranged defense from Stupefy. You mean the literally ONLY real reason to get power boost!?!? Please do NOT mess with this, in addition to the fact that it should actually be broadened to work on recovery and regen abilities (currently it only works for heals and end abilities, it makes ZERO sense that it doesn't boost regen and recovery buffs as well).
  22. Lol the absorb toggles on blaster are extremely horrible. For an AT that has no innate defense/resistance especially the absorb value is WAYYYY too low when even a minnions low level attack will damage more than absorb shield is for. What they need to do is make the absorb amount 4 times bigger, but then make its proc rate slower to compensate so at least that way it would actually give you some protection.
  23. Except when it constantly gets mezzed off and forces you into melee on a set that offers no personal defenses, and shouldn't rely fully on pool/epic powers for those. I know PT is also a big proponent to stay in melee, but I would have less issue if it should, and did work like that and had an after effect(or what they need to do is make enemy toggles only suppress instead of toggle off), they make NB a wide taoe instead of a cone so you could also use it in melee which is another big problem with poison. They also desperately need to widen the aoes of the debuffs. Feel they should also make poison gas trap work like traps version, auto hit and reproccing.
  24. You need your head examined then if you think that lol. For a set with a VERY tiny aoe debuff outside of it, and zero defenses or mez protection, compared to any other support set it will constantly get mezzed off when you need it, and draws unnecessary aggro for a set that has no way to really defend itself or heal back from the damage that it takes as a result.
  25. Until it's Constantly mezzed off, and you can disagree, doesn't mean you're right. And slottable for holds for the lockdown proc to start a fight and damage procs.
