I play with force field and nature frequently because none of those require frequent individual targeting, which to me feels like irritating whack-a-mole, especially with healing such as with pain or thermal; I feel like I'm watching health bars and clicking on individual players more than actually playing the game. It's even worse in a league. Nature's cone heal is perfect because it meshes well with actually just playing through the game. "Look where you want to heal"and there you go. If more of the sets had some sort of similar functionality that required less watching the interface and more engaging with the game especially with heals and buffs I would play more of the other sets. Support sets should always offer something to the caster as well, such as thermal shields for force bubbles, even if they offer just a fraction of the buff. Tldr: older sets are punishing because they force you to disengage the gameplay in order to do your role.

I'm with you after maining masterminds and controllers for so long, I picked up blasters here on homecoming and have been pleasantly surprised to the point that they are now the preferred AT for me to play. I haven't done much with dark on blasters, but interested in reading on your build. Thank you.

Hi Tech, thanks for the tip. I tried using it in the CC, and it is a possibility for sure, on dim enough luminosity there are still some vague facial features with Spectrum; I do need to think about the costuming though., still fiddling about. 🙂

Hello. I come seeking the help of the costume gurus, I've had no luck in coming up with a costume I like, mostly due to lack of long gowns or the like. I hope someone can jury-rig something that would fit the character. Character: Necro/Dark MM, ghostly woman in gown with princess hat (or something else/hood?) that is long, flowing. Monochrome, as I'll use glow aura and stealth to make her 'spectral'. Tried using various skirts, boleros, capes, but not reallying getting anything to gel. Anyone up for the challenge? Kind thanks in advance! 🙂
