WindDemon21
You should REALLY not need all those end procs if you make an ice armor build right. Energy absorption will give you full end on like 4 enemies and even against a single target you're better off than other sets. You only two slotted that power which is gravely undervaluing it. Put an end mod and end/rech at the very least and you'll notice you dont need those procs. Edited December 11, 2019 by WindDemon21

WindDemon21
Generally I would slot it with lotg def, def/rech, def/end/rech, and 7.5%. And then a performance shifter end mod and end mod/rech. Or you could go def, def/rech, 7.5%, and performance shifter end mod, end/rech, and efficiency adapter end/rech for more end gain. Chilling Embrace + KM attacks and the option of picking up Darkest Night from the Soul Mastery Patron Pool could stack up something in the ballpark of -50% damage on a single target and around -28% on surrounding mobs? That's gotta be some decent mitigation? Yes, level 29 atm. Need the KB to KD proc for repulsing torrent. Figured going -dam was the best route for an ice tank. Darkest night (range pboe of 25') -21% DMG and 10.5% -tohit (unslotted) (I take it on almost all my tanks, its very useful), -14% chilling embrace, and about -7% DMG from KM attacks (burst is -14% and pboe ) (according to MIDs). slotted, darkest night provides -16% to-hit, 49% aoe and -7% (per KM attack) (not sure if the attack effects stack ...) per single attack. Just curious where you got -50 DMG on single target and -28% on surrounding mobs? Seems to be -49% DMG aoe plus -7% DMG per single target applied. Its a great way to go, but currently not too happy with KM damage (the +DMG powers come later ...) at the moment.
Damon Savage
I have a concept for a Ice/Elec, I am struggling with a build idea. I did one based off the Ice/MA but I really didn't feel as if it is a clear winner. How would some of you experts do it. I rolled a whole bunch of Ice tankers, we cuz I can and I like the ideas in this thread!

Quietdraco80
Hi! I just found this thread and the idea of an Ice tanker looks cool. I'm a returning player here trying to get into the game. What's some of the sets you guys recommend lately? I saw Ice/Stone and Ice/MA, for example, and I think I just saw Ice/Elec. What else do you guys recommend? Redlynne
Ice/Ice/Arctic will always remain a classic. Inhales aggro like a wind tunnel and won't give any of it back. I know. I've tested. Back on Virtue, I ran an ITF on a Tanker Tuesday with my Ice/Ice/Arctic and DENIED aggro to ALL of the other Tankers on the team ... for the entire run. They eventually figured out that they were all "glorified scrappers" dogpiling on my herding TANK action. Fair warning though ... to play an Ice/Ice Tanker most effectively, you're going to need to play with a "Brute-like mentality" where you're just incredibly aggressive (go figure) and always moving from spawn group to spawn group in order to fuel Energy Absorption "just in time" with lots of $Targets ... which has a sort of "Fury-like" sensibility to it, except it's for defense buffing and endurance rather than for damage buffing. You might want to also have a look at Ice/Titan since Energy Absorption will assist you with the endurance management issues that Titan Weapons can produce in some builds, and the slowing that Ice Armor does for you will synergize well with the "slowness" of Titan Weapon's animations when you haven't got Momentum going for you. Verbogeny is one of many pleasurettes afforded a creatific thinkerizer.
Quietdraco80
Hey, guys. Thanks for the suggestions/ideas. You guys really helped me make an interesting choice that I'm currently rocking at the moment. Ice Armor/Martial Artist. I plan on going Energy on the Epic or Leviathan on the Patron if I like that one. Not sure yet. It's a toss up between spirit shark powers and laser eyes fro me. In any case, thanks again! I totally recommend Ice Armor/Martial Artist for soloing so far. I haven't gotten to where I can do some serious taunts or gotten Dragon's Tail yet to see about grouping with others as of yet. I'm a returning player here trying to get into the game. What's some of the sets you guys recommend lately? I saw Ice/Stone and Ice/MA, for example, and I think I just saw Ice/Elec. What else do you guys recommend? Ice/rad is also an amazing combo. More aggro with the damage aura toggle, good st attacks and aoe, and best part is it gets a self heal which works with ice armor very well. Only issue with that and ma which is also great is that the aoes come late. They should really fix that for a lot of tanker secondaries. While ice armor doesn't have the problem as much, tankers should get their main pbaoe powers sooner by at least level 20 so they can taunt more effectively without taking actual taunt and are more friendly on teams with aoe damage. Waiting till 35 or 38 for your aoe is just bs.
WindDemon21
Hopefully the nudevs see/ realize this to add as part of the new tanker changes.
