Throwing cars.

It would look pretty bad.

The rock they use with Hurl is the same every time because it's designed to fit the hand-spread used in the animation. A Car would work fine with that hand-spread, probably, but you'd be pulling a car out of the floor.

Of an Office Building.

On the Third Floor.

And it would clip like hell with your legs before you chucked it. Though the chucking would look fine!

And if it were to randomly include statues and printers and table lamps, your hands aren't -always- going to line up. Sometimes neither hand will line up.

Well... Gravity Controllers do get to pull all sorts of random objects out of the ground, so why not Super Strong hero's too. Who care's if it doesn't make sense, it's for the greater good! +1

In gravity's defense, there is a little "warp" or "wormhole" animation, to imply that you're pulling the object from somewhere else.  I wonder if hurl could use the texture of the ground that you happen to be standing on, to at least make it seem more plausible...

Throwing a rock from the floor in an office map doesn't leave a big hole in the floor either.  Gravity control tosses stuff not even in the room.

Gravity control presumably wormholes it in, based on the animations.

That said, you're right that Hurl doesn't leave a Hole. It -can't-. The floor of that building is a 2 dimensional plane with no thickness. nigh-infinite blackness surrounds it on all sides. That also doesn't touch the clipping issues involved in a car going through your legs.

The comments about the third floor of an office building were meant to be humorous. Not the core of the argument.
