Hi,

So, after the excitement started to fade upon returning to CoH, I thought I was ready to move on. I deleted my characters from Homecoming, thinking I was ready to say goodbye. Turns out I was wrong. Like, really wrong.

Is there any way to retrieve my characters?

Deletion is forever, unfortunately.  Nothing stopping you from making new ones and trying again.

Formerly a bunch of things that didn't work out.  Inactive account.  Not likely to return.

Yeah, I wish I'd saved all of my costumes and game add-ons, but luckily I took screenshots of basically everything before sunset and was able to make decent approximations.

Why would you delete that characters at all? Just stop playing if you want. LOL

Because they thought that they were done with CoX and some people don't like leaving their creations all alone? It's a thing...

So the characters we had before Sunset were only on the server?  There isn't a copy on my old hard drive somewhere? I never deleted anything, just kind of faded out shortly before the original servers did.

I can't be the only one who wonders... I had some really great characters with terrific back-stories.

Yes.  No.

They're gone for good.

There's no access to the original character database.  However...

If you kept your old CoX installation, any costumes, power customizations or AE arcs you had will still be there.  You can just move then into the homecoming directory.

If you used the Sentinel+ to export your characters, there's a utility on Titan Network that allows you to export the costumes.

If you used City Info Tracker for badging, then you might be able to recover your character descriptions.  I've had mixed success (some of the characters show info belonging to other characters) but I did manage to find some of my old character bios that way.
