The exact triggering mechanics are not known yet; a strong possibility appears to be a 20% chance for a Zombie Apocalypse (in both a hero and a villain zone) when costume salvage is redeemed at either Granny Beldam or Annah. This event also seems to be triggered in a random Villain zone whenever the Virgil Tarikoss Strike Force is completed or in a hero zone when the Katie Hannon Task Force is completed. It's actually been one of my gripes that the invasions don't gank the NPC's it would add a certain sense of drama to the invasions, which I feel is missing, honestly most often I find them annoying unless I'm after invasion goodies and either duck into a mission or leave the zone because the sense of zone event you got when they first happened is not there anymore Mayhem It's my Oeuvre baby!
