Assassin mark/lightning rod

While playing my electric/energy stalker, I noticed that lightning rod would trigger the assassin mark chance to recharge build up and the message would come up on screen, but build up would not recharge. Is this a bug or working as designed?

 

if it matters, I have lightning rod 5/6 obliterated and the chance for energy proc from the other set (forgot the name). The assassin mark/chance for bu Rech is in havoc punch along with 5/6 touch of death. Character level is 33-35 when I noticed it and it happened multiple times.

Pseudo-pet-using powers like Lightning Rod will inherit the Assassin's Mark effect, and it can trigger on the pet itself. Naturally the psuedo-pet does not have Build Up and can't actually benefit from it, but the message still happens.

eh...depends on your definition of bug...it's definitely not ideal

Not a bug, might change in the future as some things are updated to use newer tools, but so long as its a pet it just wont help you if it triggers any self-buffs on itself.
