Another thing we need:

COLLECTABLE OBJECT:   PORTALS (tech, arcane, and Rularuu weirdness)

The placeable items have been there in the base editor since forever, and PLENTY of missions involve dimensional travel and would benefit greatly from visible, clickable portals as mission objective. Please?

On a side note... last patch removed the "Praetorians" faction, which had the Going Rogue models for Praetorian archvillains and I'm sure lots of us miss the good-looking Nightstar, Siege, Shadow Hunter, etc.

Can we please get them back?

Something that would be quite useful would be HP groupings for Destructable and Defendable objects.  Sometimes they can wind up way more fragile than a mission intends so having the ability to make them tougher (or even weaker) would be useful.

@WhiteNightingale,  I don't recall that faction but in case this helps, Praetorian Nightstar and Siege are in the Generic Villain "faction"

I don't recall every seeing Shadowhunter in there.

A few other things I'd like to see added, particularly as far as custom enemies go:

- The ability to rename an enemy group after making it. This one's self-explanatory, having to delete the entire group file and rebuild it from scratch just because I changed my mind about its name is a needlessly frustrating experience.

- Related, the ability to set an enemy group's display name separately from the name it's saved as. It's doable when making individual boss details, but it's annoying that I can't make a big umbrella-term faction with several subfactions in the vein of Arachnos or the Council.

- NPC dialogue details. A lot of missions give you a friendly NPC (character or destructible object) you need to talk to before triggering some other event, like an enemy ambush or a door unlock, it'd be fun to be able to do that as well.

- On that note, conditionally locked doors which don't open until you complete a prior objective. Again, another staple of pre-made missions, I don't think making it doable by players would be that difficult.

This will sound like...and I guess technically is...a suggested nerf to something in AE.  huang3721 discovered that the maximum amount of customs that players can possibly add to a mission before it can't load is less than half of the listed max file size.  Considering a number of people have mentioned having trouble loading their arcs when they hit 40% of the file size, it may be in the best interest of system stability in AE to cut the max file size in half.

(1) Never-ending fire farms for farmers /maps with Lt's and bosses and eb's only,

(2) being able to pull the whole map like the good old days of COH.

(3) Off topic, you could make torch a Farm only server as Torch is dead the 5 people left on there can be moved

I’d like to see some of the melee sets have their throwing knife ranged attack swapped out with some of the shockwave options you see the Knives of Vengeance using.

I've got some things I'd be interested in seeing.

Powers:

When creating an NPC, you can select a Dominator's Assault set as their primary. I'd like it if the same was possible with Blasters' Manipulation secondaries, since several have unique armor animations I'd like to pair with actual armor sets, but can't without editing the critter file (and that removes all exp).

Kheldian powersets. There's too many powers in them to all fit in one set, so possibly splitting them up between things like 'Umbral/Luminous Blast' with the Nova Transformation and 'Umbral/Luminous Melee' with the Dwarf transformation, and then an armor set for each. Maybe a dominator/blaster secondary style set like Ankylosaur linked to a few posts up, too for a solid mix.

Enemy groups I'd like added:

Cap au Diable Demons

Unbound Nictus, and Shadow cysts/crystals as non-naturally spawning options that can be used as bosses (Devouring Earth allows something similar with Will of the Earth, though you can't set that to boss. Only Ally/Captive.)

Croatoan Ghost and the Ghost Ship ghosts - the Ghosts available in the enemy selection are the version from Portal Corp missions, the ones with the dark blue-black effects instead of the green. They're also different level ranges.

Collectible Objects:

Ghost Widow's second arc has a mission with an interesting looking crystal collectible

The ability to choose different variants of some objects - for example, there are orange bodybags in game, but only grey in AE. Council Crates automatically swap to 5th Column crates in 5th Column bases, which forced me to do some rewrites since a Council crate's presence was meant to be an important clue. It'd be neat to be able to swap between the two. And finding a 5th Column crate in a certain location can give a very different vibe than a Council one in the same place. There's also a ton of paintings in game, but only the Cubist one is available in AE. (Not sure if there are other paintings already available as collectible in missions, though. I was trying to make an art gallery, but having nothing but dozens of copies of the same painting made it absurdist.).

Destructible Objects:

Council Vampyri Transformation Capsules

Radios (Television has a mission to Kill the Radio, which gave me the idea to use radios as destructible objects for a boss to taunt the player through as they advanced through a base. Unfortunately, radios were unavailable.)

Maps I'd like to see:

Night Ward and Dark Astoria's unique mission maps

The Oranbegan map with the blue/green crystal ritual circles in the mission where Ghost Widow tries to resurrect herself

The two Aeon City maps in Brother Hammond's arc, a normal version and the power blackout version

More Striga outdoor maps, like the one in Mage-Killer Tatiana's last mission

NPC Aura Special Effects:

This one is likely not possible or just more effort than it's worth, but still something I'm interested in. Prismatic Aether premium costumes have aura effects, some of which you can't replicate by picking a powerset (like Ghost and Psionic). It'd be neat if they were available to choose and edit in the costume creator, or even as a choice like the Reflections Effects under Flight options when you choose ranking/combat preferences. Maybe just a general translucency option?

Other:

The ability to set non-custom lieutenants as bosses for the Defeat Boss objective would be nice. It's done in some earlier blueside missions, like one where the boss is just a Council Adjutant instead of an Archon.

Alternate death animations - teleporting, fading out of existence like a ghost, etc. Likely unfeasible, but they would be a useful story tool.

This turned out quite a bit longer than I had planned, but I think I got most of the ideas out.

In terms of maps, I just replayed the Last Gasp of Praetoria arc for the first time since coming back and really appreciated the large outdoor and forest trails maps as being really good for some stories I’d like to tell.

Relatedly, I would love to see versions of the existing outdoor forest maps wizard the physical war walls removed (just have the usual blue barriers for those edges).

One of the most jarring things when doing a number of the Portal Corps mission is when you’re supposedly going into a wilderness dimension untouched by man, but there’s that obvious Paragon City war wall right there. Having versions without those for both the appropriate missions and for AE missions would be fantastic (I have a bunch of post-Praetorian War stories in mind, but it’s a real struggle to find appropriate maps).
