Pzn
Spines is good with anything. It's easier to level up when paired with a secondary that helps with endurance management, since running quills is expensive. Bio, rad, willpower, elec, energy, regen, ninjitsu, and ice all have powers that will help with endurance management. Other secondaries can be great but need more investment (IOs, incarnates, etc) to solve endurance issues.
Nightmarer 2
WP is good match with Spines. Being chased by a wasp is the most complete sport practice!

ScrewlooseCohh
Lots of things go well with Spines. I like Dark Armour. The Death Shroud damage double up with the AE from Spines. The move reduction from Spines means that critters stagger from Oppressive Gloom is lessened. The stealth lets you get into good positions to AE easily. But the Recharge reduction from Spines is also particularly good for any Regeneration based defense. regards, Screwloose. InvaderStych
+1 for Spines/Dark. Towards the end of my time on Live that toon ended up basically curing my alt-itis for quite a while. IIRC had the normal endurance issues while leveling that comes with /DA, but felt beastly once kitted out. Now that scrappys can get /ice I might try spines/ice at some point. The damage aura in /ice comes rather late, but there looks to be potential synergy there with the -rech -spd from quills, chilling embrace, and regular attacks. Might have interesting slotting options too. Edited April 26, 2020 by InvaderStych You see a mousetrap? I see free cheese and a f$%^ing challenge. BrandX
I had a Spines/DA Scrapper on Live and it was nice, once you got it IOed up. However, I think Spines/Ice may be the way to go. I have no concept for it, but it looks like a fun combo.
MTeague
I know lots of people prefer Willpower, but ain't nothing wrong with Spines / Regen. Roster: MTeague's characters: The Good, The Bad, and The Gold
