Hey

I love playing Gravity set, however, the propel power sometimes (most often) gets in the way with launching a HUGH car or Pickup etc in small caves, and as its our main source of damage early on in levels when teaming with large people i often get complaints (not bad ones) - but just generally, "I cant see"... as a grav its my power and there is nothing I can do..

But playing with another chr of mine and when I have grav in a team I often get the same feeling, it does sometimes block your way/vision so I see it from both sides

Can we please get to choose what we "propel" from the outside world as a power customise addition? (like many other power sets have) ?

That is all

Thanks

Or maybe a category of objects to throw...  Just remembering those "Here have a TV!" moments from playing my old grav troller.

I agree - if the objects could either be locked to the size of the location (i.e. no cars or gargoyles in narrow caves) or some categories of items to select from, it would be an immense improvement. After Propel has been used in a pitched fight, it does seem like a moving company drove by and threw all their stuff off the truck :)

I suspect with how complex animations are in this game...that this would take a LONG time to implement. It's not a bad idea, it would just be challenging.

+1

I'm out.

I don't think it's technically possible really. You don't even see the same object as your teammates. Everyone sees a different rando thing.

Trust me if I could control what Propel fires off it would be ALL FORKLIFTS ALL THE TIME.

See me on Excelsior as Eridanus - Whisperkill - Kid Physics - Ranger Wilde - The Hometown Scrapper - Firewatch - and more!

I remember back in the oldern times Propel had only about 15 items. The pool table is my favorite followed by the forklift. Ahem, er... someone posted asking why they could not use pretty much all game assets of a certain size, one of the Dev;s posted back no reason they couldnt add them -- so they did.

The list is (or was) editable -- they added them in a matter of days as I recall.

Making it customization and map specific would, I think, take much more work.

Customizing the power to use different object tables depending on map type is almost certainly "too much work" to be reasonably contemplated.

That said ... introducing a bias into the object table by duplicating entries for smaller items, so as to make those options that are small have a higher percentage chance of being spawned than larger objects via over-representation in the expanded list to randomly choose from ... that might be possible to do.  It would, however, require a way to determine the size of each object in the table so as to duplicate entries and thereby introduce the desired amount of bias into the psuedo-random selection of items to hurl when using Propel (everyone sees something different).  So that would take WORK to do, but might be something more towards the side of Possible than Impossible.

The old Gravity Propel was actually better. Not sure why they changed it. objects used to explode on contact, making a loud boom noise, it looked painful as hell to be hit by a truck that explodes on contact. Now it bounces off like rubber and flops around on the ground.

Would be nice and I would +1 this if they could reverse the change back to Propel's original graphics.

Hmm good shout, you might be onto something here. - I have no problems with the items changing. just facepalm often when a crowded location/doorway whatever and so happens to fly the biggest thing out of my hands..

So if its just a table per se. - then surly we can edit this away (the team), to make it a lil more reasonable perhaps in size?

Or yes. bring in back the way it used to be, and make them disappear on impact!.

I have a grav controller and because my secondary storm has so much going on, I really only use GD > Propel with lots of RCHG as my attack chain. In other words, I throw a lot of crap at mobs. I've never had anyone complain. Blue Caves have always been at once cool and annoying for a thousand reasons not related to a forklift (or three) in the middle of the path.
