Aluminum Foil Hat - And Your Suggestions

I liked seeing some people suggest some hats that they want so I adjusted the title. 

 

What headgear do you wish was in the game that currently isn't?  It doesn't have to be an actual type of hat.

 

I need to protect myself from the Rikti but i dont have proper headgear.  please add a hat like this.

Anyway, it's a nice hat to wear. The problem is it's hard to find a good guide to make it. Anyway, the hat itself looks cool and it's amazing that you can make it on your own in a few days without being a skillful specialist. I like handmade items, especially clothes or hats, so I even started collecting them. I usually get custom hats at  headwearhut.com because of the prices and relatively fast delivery. But I haven't seen an aluminum foil hat on their platforms, so I must acknowledge your superiority, haha.

There was a study some years ago - done in jest, but the results are real - of tinfoil hats that showed (for all you conspiracy theorists) that tinfoil hats actually increased signal reception in two bands reserved by the federal government

So what you're saying is that the study making fun of "conspiracy theories" just likely may be showing as "conspiracy facts" since the term was coined by the federal government to begin with... 

 

Big Foot is real confirmed!

 

Also yes to all these hat options if they'd ever be doable.

It would be nice to have a few of the gender-restricted hats already in the game opened up for both.

Some hats I thought of that I could've used when making characters: Straw hat (you could reuse the mesh for a sombrero). Sailor hat. One of those old timey diving helmets. Colonial bonnet. Clown hat.

 

A party hat could be fun.

 

I'd like to see hair and hats treated separately. I remember modding "Fallout" games and there were separate hair meshes for when a hat was on it. Many times, the same "hat hair" mesh could be reused for multiple styles.

I'm pretty sure that the 'hair baked into the hat' design was set before beta to control clipping between the hat and the character's hair, since all the hats seem to be positioned properly for a bald head, whether or not the hat incorporates hair -- there are a lot of hair styles that would either require moving the hat upward or would clip nastily through the hat regardless of its position.

A tennis visor - basically a headband with a baseball hat brim.  I had a character i was going to make but required that hat so i didnt proceed.
