I came across this revived game and forum by accident, and it’s surreal to see names from a different lifetime ago. I used to spend a ton of time on this game, and most of that was doing PvP or trying to get people to PvP. I didn’t really ever get into other games, so this one will always be special to me. I don’t plan on getting back into gaming - started a family and just can’t see being able to make the time, but I wanted to say hello to anyone that came back and happens to remember playing with me in the days of either i4 through pre-i13 and then later - took a break and came back at some point...but IPvPL, Infinity/Freedom kickball, PvPEC stuff, etc.

 

Some teams/SGs I remember being on: Justice Factor, ABH (my first Test PvP team - first experience was in scrimmage vs Lions Den), dUmb, Sexy eThugs...sure I’m forgetting some. I’ve seen a few names I recall, and it’s nice to see them still playing (it seems).

 

If there was a PvP server that just eliminated the need to (re)build/PvE, then that would maybe be tempting. Anyway, just saying hello to old friends and hope life has been good to them.

Well, since we're a "rogue" server it's free!  So you're able to pop in any time at all. Most of the PVP happens on Indomitable, which is the "unofficial pvp server" , to save you time going elsewhere if you were so inclined. As any one of the rest of us will say, the door is open and there's a chair at the table for you!

Fortunately, for you (I am personally opposed to them), there are Fire Farms running constantly to power-level you to 50 so you only have to door-sit and can  avoid having to do any of that tedious (the actual game) game play.

You can probably even just continue to door-sit at 50 to get influence/infamy/(whatever currency the Praetorians use) to buy all your uber expensive PVP enhancements.

Also personally opposed to them, but if someone has limited time then they're an option, that's true.  And then a quick visit to Mids and off you go!

PvP's not super active at the moment but at least leveling and building a character is way easier than back on live. You can get to 50 pretty quick, an entire build costs about as much as like half a purple set did back on live, and you can buy PvP-only versions of all the accolade powers from arena/zone vendors.

Wow, someone remembers Lions Den!  I was a member, but not too long after I joined them the group collectively rage-quit in response to the i13 PVP changes. 

 

They recruited me after seeing me blapping down villains in Sirens Call... sigh, just got a little nostalgic for what fun PVP times those were, with the zone full, and bounties, and pushing each side back to their bases.
