Typical Incarnates for this?

So, mine is WM (no inherent heal), and since my positional defenses were already soft-capped I chose:

Alpha - Resilient (Core)

Hybrid - Melee (Core)

Destiny - Rebirth (pick your fave)

Interface - Diamagnetic (Core for all my tanks)

Judgement - Mighty (theme appropriate)

Lore - pick 'em

Makes for a ridiculously durable tank (and the mace-banging-the-shield taunt is just gravy :-)).

Mine is pretty similar to @PLVRIZR's.  I went StJ so no heal either.

Alpha: Agility Core, Radial if you like more movement which I went with.  This lets me short slot defenses and get high values in other defenses due to 2/3 not being affected by DR

Hybrid: Melee core, I alternate this and OWtS if I need the capped resists

Destiny: Rebirth Core, I don't have a heal and I'm the battleship that can heal the team

Interface: Diamagnetic Core, amplifies your defense and is typically the less picked interface for most people so your stacks will matter

Judgment: Mighty Radial for the knockback control to get pressure off of teammates

Lore: Lots,  but I like the Knives of Vengeance support, they buff my endurance which is nice against end drainers and they team buff 20% dmg to all

I love it on my Tanker.  Shield/EM.  Loved it when my tanker was Shield/Rad, but I didn't care for Rad, and Energy Melee fit the concept more (and I love the pom poms) but hated the old Energy Melee (because I knew the original so much).

Shield/EM/Soul.  Doesn't have Werners numbers, but I'm not sure if that's with Incarnates or not.  I went Musculature and Assault Hybrid and setup to run ET (Slow) > TF > ET > BS > Gloom.

Mine's built for soloing, so yea, typical max damage. Musc Core, Degen Core, Assault Core, Pyronic Core. Found Rebirth Radial to be the most useful of the destinies for that build. Lore is always carnies, cuz DRM hotty.

That right there is a reason I also have a shield/mace tank. Wish I had gone brute on that combo, though... but the macer predates the nrg meleer. Then again... PLin ain't nuthin. Think I'll reroll him into a brute soon. Not for any performance reason but just because I don't have a shield brute.

That's with Cardiac Core (and Storm Kick). Also typically running Ageless Core, Assault Core, Reactive Radial, Mighty Radial.

Never the optimal pick, but oh damn, what a very satisfying pick.

I'm probably just justifying a fun pick, but I tell myself that I took it for the survivability boost I get from the knockup. It does give you a little breathing room.

Not satisfying?  It's what I picked for my Shield/EM and a few others.  That nice super strength feel without going super strength?  NICE!  Took it on my Elec/Bio Scrapper too.  Such a nice one to use and it's PBAOE!  Though I use the CORE for the extra damage.

Though, Pyro is a very nice one to use too 🙂

I was saying it IS very satisfying. Huge PBAoE that sends a whole spawn flying into the air is niiiiice.

My bad.  I actually meant to say optimized anyways.  But that's because I'm under the impression the Judgements all do the same numerical value of damage.  Pyro + Extra damage being equal to Mighty + Extra damage.

No idea if that's accurate though, but I figure outside of how the damage is delivered (Cryo being the worst) and damage type, it was equal number wise.

Pretty positive they don't but I can test later. At the very least, even if they are doing identical damage, cast times are very different.

Hopped on beta, just happened to be next to a pylon... imagine that. Threw T4 Pyronic Core at it.

496.89 Base Fire Damage,  5 ticks of 26.08 fire and then 1 more tick of fire for 24.83: total = 625.12

Had already crafted T4 Mighty Core; swapped to it when I was able; 496.89 Base Smashing Damage, no DoT

Whoa... Void Core only did 342.68 ... that's weird.

And I love to take Void Core on my Dark users! 😞

I think the justification for some of these extra damage Core powers doing more than their counterparts is that the Radial ones on some of these are really great where the higher damage ones don't have a Radial that's as attractive as Void's doing a -50% dmg debuff, Vorpal adding a hefty defense buff or the control from Mighty's Radial.

I wouldn't trade Void's Radial for any other Radial.  There's probably some give and take when balancing Core and Radial against all of the various powers.
