S&L Farm Build

Getting tired of the same old fire farms.  What is a good secondary set for S&L res/def?  What is a good pri/sec combo for such a farmer?

If not Rad/fire, my guess would be Rad/bio.

You could build a fire armor brute to do S/L just fine. Otherwise if you want a different armor, take a good look at Dark Armor or Rad Armor paired with Rad Melee.

I have a Rad/Rad brute that performs all content extremely well and he farms S/L  NEARLY  as well as my Rad/Fire does Fire.

 

It's a little unconventional, but he is my favorite Brute because he can do it all.

Because of the existence of set bonuses and Tough, it's going to be trivial to build any armor to survive an S/L farm.  This means the best SL farm build is going to be the one that contributes the most to AOE damage, and that's still Rad/Fire. Followed by the usual suspects of (insert good aoe primary)/Fire.  Burn is still king.

 

If you simply have to get away from burn, then /Bio is going to be next on the list with the same primaries you'd consider for a fire brute.

 

After that I'd probably say /Rad, or /Shield.  Shield has the charge and AAO, but Brute's don't get nearly as much out of AAO as other ATs.  Rad has procced out AOE's plus the recharge.  Again, same primaries.

Agreed with all of the above, my Rad/Fire is close to 90% res to S/L

Still good but neither are on the level of Rad/fire for sheer AoE damage.

I run a TW/WP brute myself when I wanna grind up a bit more money.  But I don't run it too high.
