Lt Kira Posted January 6, 2022 Posted January 6, 2022 Hello, The Hide power for my Stalker has an issue and I'm pretty sure it's a bug. The Defenses that Hide power gives such as "Ranged Defense", "Melee Defense" and etc' give 3.75%, but for the "AOE Defense" it gives 37.5% Which to me looks like the decimal point is located in the wrong place for that particular defense. See attached PNG Image to show you what I mean. Hope this helps and that you can fix this,
TheZag Posted January 6, 2022 Posted January 6, 2022 (edited) U mean you dont want to cap AoE defense with 1 enhancement in hide? Edited January 10, 2022 by TheZag
ZorkNemesis Posted January 6, 2022 Posted January 6, 2022 Fairly certain that's not a bug. Hide's AoE Defense is massive to help prevent you from incidentally getting hit by a stray bullet while you set up your stealth attack. That AoE boost is also supressed when not Hidden and in combat. 1 1 Currently playing on Indomitable as @Zork Nemesis; was a Protector native on live.
Wavicle Posted January 6, 2022 Posted January 6, 2022 That is not a bug. That's how the power works. Notice that when you're NOT hidden, the extra AoE goes away. Wavicle's Guide To What Really Matters: What Needs To Be Done On Every Toon
Crysis Posted January 9, 2022 Posted January 9, 2022 If you hang out on the Stalker forums and observe the builds by new players, they almost always assume Hide's defense is "always on," when in fact it's only on outside of combat. I always ensure I'm looking at Stalker defenses during combat, which you can toggle on and off in MIDS settings. You can see this effect yourself in-game. Just wander up to any spawn with your combat attributes window showing like you did for the screenshot and then attack something. AoE Defense drops dramatically once Hide is broken.
Solarverse Posted January 10, 2022 Posted January 10, 2022 To be more specific, it's working as intended. The idea for it is so that PBAoE Toggles don't hit you while you are in a delicate situation of that crucial interrupt time it takes for you to fire off your Assassin Strike. You lose that as soon as you attack or are hit. It has worked this way since day one.
