Hello everyone!

 

As always with these posts, I’d like to drop a quick reminder that there are more ways to support Homecoming than just through donations. For a general overview of the different ways you can help Homecoming, check out this thread.

Last Month: February 2023

 

Last month we accepted $4,896.82 in donations, $83.25 over our target for the month. As always, any additional funding remaining at the end of each month is put towards our operating expenses for the following month or additional expenses for the current month.

 

Here is the breakdown of our expenses for February:

• $4,369.03 for our hardware infrastructure from OVH
• $286.97 to pay a legal invoice (incl. transfer fees) related to obtaining our Code Signing Certificate
• $121.25 for our Google G-Suite services
• $25.00 for our Air instance from Paperspace
• $19.83 for the AWS EC2 instance serving our email
• $10.00 to renew website assets
• $9.73 for security / administration software

This Month: March 2023

 

The donation target for March 2023 is $4,460.91. Here is a breakdown of how the funds are allocated:

• $4,398.45 for our hardware infrastructure from OVH
• $121.57 for our Google G-Suite services
• $25.00 for our Air instance from Paperspace
• $19.25 for the AWS EC2 instance serving our email
• $9.73 for security / administration software

Our donation system will be open as of the time of this post with a donation target of $4,460.91 and will automatically close once that target is met.

The donation window opened fairly late this time around. Perhaps the admin should send an additional reminder (if not already done) that players can still donate.

Well, it's only been 12 hours since it was posted, I'm sure the goal will be met within the time period allotted.

 

That said, I don't actually know how long the donation window can run, before it fails ?

it does not fail, it gets filled whether 30 minutes or 3 days.

Get you set a donation up ahead of time? We fill this so quick I've not had a chance to donate yet.

There is no advanced donations - it is just the window whether it starts morning, noon, afternoon or night.  It does happen last Saturday of the month except December when they may do it a week early so the volunteers can rest.
