Sure; I'm all for improving the animations for  powersets. How many months of no updates or bug fixes to the game are you willing to put up with — and saddle the rest of the players with — to have the HC staff drop what they're doing to 'fix' the animations you're unhappy with? Not animations that are broken, but animations that you don't like.

 

You could always go off and work on making replacement animations yourself, then submit them to the HC staff for consideration. Remember, the HC staff isn't getting paid for all the work they put into the game, so they have work and a life outside of maintaining CoH to balance against the time they put in here.

If all the HC team did, ever again, was to expand power customizations to add new animations and such...I'd be pretty fine with that, actually.

Do they actually even have the tools/programs necessary to add new animations to the game? I was under the impression that everything they were adding used graphical resources that already exist.

They have 1 animator. That is their biggest holdup with new animations.

Claw animations aren't that bad have you seen psi melee?

Arrows could use some trails or arcs

Lots of powers could use some extra animation love

If we are going on the MvC metric imagine how energy blast would look lol

Personally i would be satisfied with alternate animations for every power

The Psi Melee animations feel clunkier than any other set, and given the Staff Fighting breakdance that's saying something.
