Uun Posted May 28, 2023 Posted May 28, 2023 Quickness buffs running speed and flying speed. Why not jumping speed? Here's the power description: "Your Quick reflexes allow you to move faster than normal, as well as resist slow effects. This power is always on and permanently increases your attack rate and movement speed." Since the running speed and flying speed buffs in Quickness are equal to those in Swift, presumably it should provide a jumping speed buff equal to that in Hurdle. Uuniverse

Hurdle is rather strong, comparably speaking, as it offers up 50% of what Super Leap gives you. Swift gives you only 10% of what Fly and Super Speed offer. If something like that were to be added, it would probably have to be closer to 10% jump speed, which would still be a nice boost to the power. 1 PPM Information Guide Survivability Tool Interface DoT Procs Guide Time Manipulation Guide Bopper Builds +HP/+Regen Proc Cheat Sheet Super Pack Drop Percentages Recharge Guide Base Empowerment: Temp Powers Bopper's Tools & Formulas Mids' Reborn

Arc-Mage Posted May 30, 2023 Posted May 30, 2023 Doesn’t Hurdle already have a faster forward movement than Swift? The only reason you can’t move faster than Swift is the down-side of the jump. The steeper the down-side of the jump the more truncated the forward speed. Some temp powers give you a less steep downward fall but none of the actual powers do however. Am I wrong about this? Because that’s how it feels. Being constantly offended doesn't mean you're right, it just means you're too narcissistic to tolerate opinions different than your own. I'm not married to the idea of Quickness providing a Hurdle-level speed increase, however, I feel that Quickness should provide some increase in jumping speed. See below for the speed increases provided by various powers at lvl 50. RunSpeed FlySpeed JumpSpeed Base 21.00 21.00 21.00 Swift 7.35 2.87 Hurdle 26.15 Quickness 7.35 2.87 Ninja Run/Athletic Run 29.40 28.76 Infiltration 32.34 31.64 Super Speed/Speed of Sound 73.50 Fly/Mystic Flight 33.79 Super Jump/Mighty Leap 52.29 Edited May 30, 2023 by Uun table formatting 1 Uuniverse
TheZag Posted May 30, 2023 Posted May 30, 2023 A bit of jump speed may fit the theme but i feel the power already provides 100% of the intended value for a power pick. It has all of swift, close to 1/3 of hasten (20% recharge), and an extra 40% resistance to slow and recharge reduction all rolled in to an auto power. If super reflexes was an underperforming set then any buff would probably be fine, but as a powerful set, something should get reduced to make room for a jump speed buff.

I view it as fixing a bug, not buffing the power. The power description specifically states that it increases your movement speed. Why should one type of movement be excluded? Uuniverse
A.I.D.A. Posted June 1, 2023 Posted June 1, 2023 (edited) It's swift with some recharge. That's all it is, that's all it needs to be. At this point, you're just complaining to complain. In no way is Super Jump a 'slow' travel power, and if it were, then a thematic passive in a single defense set is not the way to address that. Turn on your infinite mid-air jump toggle and Samus your way over buildings. Have fun with Super Jump instead of complaining that Super Reflexes includes built-in Swift but not built-in Hurdle. Uun Posted June 3, 2023 Author Posted June 3, 2023 I'm not complaining to complain, and it has nothing to do with improving Super Jump. It's about combat mobility, and it would be nice to have it without toggling on Ninja Run. The power description says "movement speed", not "run speed". All the set bonuses that improve "movement speed" include jump speed and jump height in the attributes improved. Uuniverse
