TF Enhancements sets

How about adding tf specific reward enhancements that have some thematic basis related to the TF in some way. 

 

They would only drop from the last boss of the last mission of the TF and the only way to gain these is through doing the TF.

 

They could be in line with the AT enhancements and Purples but be an 'easier' and 'cheaper' way for people to potentially attain a strong high quality set.

I'm not necessarily for or against the idea, but I am interested in what your proposed TF enhancement sets would be? What are they themed about? What do they enhance? What schedule are they? Are their any procs? What are the proposed bonuses.

 

Personally if I were to implement the idea, I'd expand off the existing dedicated IO sets named after NPC's in the game, and then give a randomized recipe from that NPC's IO set to each player. for 1st completion only? Example you complete Positron 1 and get a Positron's Blast TAOE IO recipe. The issue then though is the level range of the recipe, noting that Positron's Blast drops between lvl 20-50, but Positron 1 is lvl 8+ and Positron 2 is 11+.

 

That all said i still don't know where I stand on this.

If someone posts a reply quoting me and I don't reply, they may be on ignore.

(It seems I'm involved with so much at this point that I may not be able to easily retrieve access to all the notifications)

Some players know that I have them on ignore and are likely to make posts knowing that is the case.

But the fact that I have them on ignore won't stop some of them from bullying and harassing people, because some of them love to do it. There is a group that have banded together to target forum posters they don't like. They think that this behavior is acceptable.

Ignore (in the forums) and /ignore (in-game) are tools to improve your gaming experience. Don't feel bad about using them.

There used to be, (and in some circumstances still are), recipes that can drop randomly form certain sources, (see here).  That being said, I dislike the notion that you should have to farm specific content in order to just get a chance at a drop.  You can look at all the recipes on the AH or wiki, decide which you want, then either work toward earning enough inf or merits to buy them, instead of having to rely on RNGesus instead...

On live there were certain costume parts that were locked behind content.  I disliked it, and I still dislike it.  Page 7 has some costume stuff locked behind the mongoose badge, I'm against that (even though mongoose is relatively easy to get)

I've said this before... but I'm still going to say it again. Locking away costume parts in a game that's as much about character customization as City has always been is STUPID. It was a bad idea back when the old devs did it, and the idea hasn't gotten any better with age. 

 

Want something to grind for? You have PAPs. There's your little "rare drop" carrot dangling at the end of a stick, that you can turn into a weird aura effect or a MiniMe if that's the kind of thing you need in a game to feel accomplished.
