Indomitable Badge Runs

Recommended Posts

For collecting Heavies, I just noticed that the Day Job, Monitor Duty Transporter recharges in 30 seconds or less.

Go to a heavy, grab it, go to base, come right back.

Repeat with using Base Transporter and LRTP as they recharge (much more slowly)

Picking up 30 is pretty easy this way.

You can then logout, login for the handful left.

I should note, that to get the full 30 charges takes 10.5 days to charge up at 8.4 hours per charge (if you have the dayjob)

I imagine logging out might be easier. Between heavies and pillboxes, the heavies can be soloed pretty easy. That's why I wanted to help folks out with the pillboxes while we were on. We'll likely get the 100 pillboxes badge next weekend after we get all the heroes defeated.

I did five of my heavies with logging out and back on.   It took about the same amount of time.  Though the base method allowed me to hit my Inspirations temp.  (i'm blanking on the temp pow name...)  And using the base port allowed me to keep track of chat...

I hate to miss this again, but am going to have to bail out 😞

@Glacier Peak: editing to elaborate more about yesterday. My right arm was killing me from playing all morning and then I could barely finish Theme Team's event. I injured it a few weeks ago and it's still healing. So as not to be constantly updating my status, I'll stop signing up for these when they're directly after Theme Team, just because the timing is so awkward for me. From now on, I'll just be a last minute addition if I can make it. Sorry for cancelling two weeks in a row. 😞

Hey no problem! I was thinking of moving the end of the month Indom Badge Run to Sunday because I will be returning from a week long trip on Friday night. If you're able, your welcome to join.

Attention fellow Indom Badge Runners....

----------ONE WEEK BREAK DUE TO SCHEDULE----------

I need to move the last Indom Badge Run for the month of June to Sunday due to my travel plans. For @FrauleinMental and @Burnt Umber, hopefully this doesn't throw things off too much. I can hold your spots until you say otherwise. We will be running the Arena All-Star accolade (and required badges) on....

[1100 PST / 1200 MST / 1300 CST / 1400 EST] Sunday, June 30th - PvP Badges Week 3: The Arena badges are next for the final PvP week! Tournament Victor and Pentad Victor take the most time, so we will be doing these first and once everyone has those two, we will proceed to the other three Arena badges. If you want to switch badgers after each attempt, you are more than welcome as needed. We will meet inside the Pocket D Arena area, I'll be there 15 minutes early to start inviting people. ***I'm locking the player count at 8 for this run to ensure I can respect the two hour time estimate for players who sign up.***

That certainly sounds feasible for me! I'll bring Midnyte - Dark Melee/Willpower Brute. I realize I was determined not to sign up ahead of time, haha, but a Sunday is a sure thing for me.

Sunday should be fine.  If at the same time it puts the two-hour window adjacent to the weekly Cathedral of Pain run, but otherwise okay.

That's true. I think I'll keep it starting it at the normal time [1100 PST / 1200 MST / 1300 CST / 1400 EST]. This will give us two hours for the badge run until the weekly CoP that starts at 1600 EST on Sunday. Then again it, will likely spill over in to that time slot if the tournament bug pops up. Hopefully that's enough flexibility for the folks who sign up.

Sunday would also in general work for me, the time is EU friendly, so appreciate that 🙂

I will keep doing this case by case, depending on the badges at hand. Not a completionist here...

I won't be joining but just a quick reminder: make sure to play the Monkey Cage map at least once.  There's a bonus explorarion badge exclusive to that map (Cage Fighter).

Good suggestion! What's the player size for that one? I can't remember if it allows for 8.

I think it's 4 max, it's an extremely small map intended for duels.

Hey Indom badgers! Here are our badge runs for the month of July!

This month will be turning to Sundays for the events (apologies, my weekend schedule forced my hand) and has a challenging difficulty flavor, so if those are ones you need, please feel free to sign up with your global and character. Remember, these badge runs will start on [1100 PT / 1200 MT / 1300 CT / 1400 ET] for the dates listed below.

I am also taking suggestions for badge runs for the last week of July and the month of August. Feel free to comment on any particular badges you want to acquire.

 -------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sunday, July 7th - Worthy Opponent: This run will consist of completing the Lord Recluse Strike Force using the Old School Challenge setting. This setting disables Incarnate powers, Enhancement Set Bonuses and Super Inspirations. It also reverts Mission 4's Vindicators fight to have all five heroes returned to their original level of 54, and Mission 5's Freedom Phalanx fight to have all eight heroes returned to their original level of 54. Due to this added difficulty, I will run it at -1 Mission Difficulty setting. No special Archetype or builds are required for this run, bring whomever you would like the badge on! Defeats will be likely and we will be going at a leisurely pace, so expect it to take 2-3 hours. We will meet in Ouroboros, I'll be there 15 minutes early to start inviting people. (Thanks for suggesting this @ZorkNemesis!)

Badges:

  • File:Badge_task_force_worthyopponent.png Worthy Opponent: Badge awarded for completion of "The Future of Freedom" Flashback with the "Old School Challenge" selected
  • File:V badge LordRecluseBadge.png Servant of Recluse: Badge awarded for completion Lord Recluse's Strike Force.
  • File:badge_villain_malta.png Master of Olympus: Badge awarded for defeating the Kronos Class Titan.
  • File:V badge FreedomPhalanxBadge.png Annihilator: Badge awarded for defeating the Future Freedom Phalanx during the Lord Recluse Strike Force.
  • Badge Archvillain: Defeat the Freedom Phalanx (in the last mission) within Lord Recluse's Strike Force.

Sign-Up for Sunday, July 7th - Worthy Opponent Badge Run:

  1. @Glacier Peak Glacier Peak - Ice/Cold Corruptor
  2. [RESERVED]
  3. @Burnt Umber Horrere - Sonic/Cold Corruptor
  4. @FrauleinMental Fraulein Mental - Mind/Kin Controller.
  5. @Midnyte Midnyte - Dark Melee/Willpower Brute
  6.

 -------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sunday, July 14th - Advanced Mode Imperious Task Force: This badge run will consist of running the Imperious Task Force at the 1-Star difficulty level (Malicious) in order to acquire the a difficult new badge. This task force has new enemy mechanics and two unique enemy spawns not found anywhere else in the game (Aereus Colossi and final boss Romulus). Due to this added difficulty, I will run it at -1 Mission Difficulty setting. No special Archetype or builds are required for this run, bring whomever you would like the badge on! Defeats will be likely and we will be going at a leisurely pace, so expect it to take 2-3 hours. We will meet in Ouroboros, I'll be there 15 minutes early to start inviting peopleIt will be important to defeat the Cimeroran Surgeons in each mob before they buff up their mobs! (Thanks for suggesting this @ZorkNemesis!)

Badges:

  • File:Badge temporal strife.png Temporal Strife: Complete the Imperious Task Force
  • Badge Freezer Burn: Defeat the two Aereus Colossi!

  1. @Glacier Peak Glacier Peak - Ice/Cold Corruptor
  2.  @Midnyte Midnyte - Dark Melee/Willpower Brute

 -------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sunday, July 21st - 'The Various Badges' Badge Run: This badge run will consist of running various badge missions/defeat requirements for three specific badges. The first is the No One Left Behind badge which is difficult when solo, but with a team should be much easier! The second is Call of the Void, because it's an awesome badge and will be easy to snag on a team. The third is a trickier badge, 4 of the 6 we will defeat in the Abandon Sewers, then the other two we will snag through the Positron Task Force(s). Defeats will not be likely and we will be going at a leisurely pace, so expect it to take 2-3 hours. We will meet in Ouroboros, I'll be there 15 minutes early to start inviting people. (Thanks for suggesting this @Midnyte!)

Would love to join again but sadly Sundays do not work for me.  Good luck though.

But to pitch some more suggestions:

- Cimeroran Monsters I mentioned last month, though Imainge you can easily get that by doing ITF enough times.

- Midnight Dodger What Does At Midnight: Tin Mage TF, and while I know Tinpex runs are common these days I've always had the belief that this badge in particular is extremely uncommon to pick up in a casual run.  I also don't know how many Tinpexs actively attempt Army of Neu and Kitty's Got Claws, everything seems to be about speed these days.

- Advanced Dr. Aeon of course, since you've already done Advanced Lady Grey and will be doing Advanced ITF.

- Tarnished Star: This requires effort and would be a multi-step process.  This requires viewing a whole bunch of specific criminals in the Zig during Doc Buzzsaw's new story arc, which requires clearing a bunch of blue side content first.  The requirements are:

* Admiral Sutter TF (Durray, Durray, Harbinger, Jane Temblor, Fusion)

* Striga Island story arcs, including Hess TF (Hero) (Heracles, Burkholder)

* Grahm Easton's arc (spare Sun Xiong at the end)

* Faultline story arcs (Nocturne, Kurse)

* New Regulators arcs (Chernebolg, Veles)

* Tashalk the Mystic's arc (Atta)

* Positron TF Part 2 (Dr. Vahzilok, Rollister)

* Freakalympics story arc (Mistah Static)

If everything is met, Manticore will spawn at the end of the mission and awards the badge when you take him out.  Full details here: https://homecoming.wiki/wiki/Tarnished_Star_Badge

- Loop Hero, this doesn't necessarily need to be a group effort but it does require repeating the same story arc five times which can get boring solo.

Looking forward to earning these badges today, although I don't like the thought of fighting my friends LOL. I did want to point out the time frames are off by an hour for zones adhering to Daylight Saving Time during the summer. e.g., here in Florida we are in EDT right now, which is an hour different than EST.

Oh my, that is not something I even thought about! I'll update future posts to denote that change.

I am in the arena in Pocket D now if anyone wants to show up early.
