Allow Empyrean Merits to be converted to Prismatic Aethers

Like the title says, allow Empyrean Merits to be converted to Prismatic Aethers, since they can no longer be converted to Reward merits, at whatever exchange rate wont break the current rewards metrics.  I was thinking like a 2:1 conversion or perhaps 3:1. But I would leave that to those that know more than me 🙂

 

This will allow some of us to at least have a use for them outside of purchasing incarnate salvage.

The reason that Emp Merits were no longer converted to Reward Merits was the abuse of farming up to ~50 vet levels and cashing in.

Prismatic Aethers were put in to funnel cash away from those that did so.

 

So, I really doubt that the devs will agree.

 

Granted, you can still use Emps to convert to threads and buy Super Inspirations which can sell for decent amounts.

I still think if the exchange rate were at the right point it could satisfy both the player base and the Devs , but it's obviously their call. 

 

I am looking at it from this perspective, I would like to do stuff with/ use the PA rewards system, but I personally probably will never do the content that awards them in any great numbers, because I dont team, ever, ever, ever, and don't plan to.  I solo exclusively, mainly because I have heath issues and have to remove myself from the keyboard quite frequently and therefore, am not a reliable team mate.  I farm and build 50s till I get all T4 incarnate, then repeat.  I'm one of those players,

My single greatest source of Aethers by far is the market, and everyone’s got access to that.

yep you guys are right, I really wasn't thinking about it that way, because I never farmed for Empyrean merits specifically, the most I ever get from farming is 3 per toon. My farmer quit earning them several hundred vet levels back. I just have few of them left over from time to time and was trying to think of something to do with them, besides send them one at a time to my alts via e-mail to buy their incarnate stuff.  When I have finished kitting out a build with all T4 incarnates, I usually have at least 1 or 2  left over, and I was not thinking of the bigger picture

I wouldn't call it great numbers, but if you respond to the Giant Monsters callouts in the LFG channel, they all drop 1 or 2 monstrous aether (once every 18 hours per monster). You don't need to team up for them. Just show up and start punching or zapping. You're not in a team, so you can take a break as needed. Three monstrous aethers convert to a prismatic aether in Pocket D at the hologram by the redside bank.

This is not exactly right. Only Adamastor and Ghost of Scrapyard have a cooldown timer on their extra Reward Merits and Incarnate Threads.
