Glacier Peak
I'm finally getting around to respec'ing my Fortunata and I come to find out that Arachnos Widow Fate Sealed is not providing Placate or Taunt Resistance, (see screenshot below). Unless Placate and Taunt are not control effects (read: Status Effects), this seems erroneous. Edit: Seems like this is normal design behavior if taking in to account other powers that Arachnos Widows can take to achieve 100% mez res to Placate and Taunt via both Tactical Training: Assault and Leadership Pool: Assault. Still though, I believe the Mez resistance scales with player Level. And I believe the % Mez resistance should be higher (34.6% instead of 25.71%) for a Level 50, (unless mez resistance experiences diminishing returns?). Quote Fate Sealed Auto: Self +Str(Mez), +Res(Mez), +Special Available to Fortunatas at Level 1 (after respec) Fortunatas who possess Fate Sealed gain resistance to all control effects, empowers their own control attacks, and guarantees their psychic power's secondary effects. This power is always on and costs no Endurance. https://cod.uberguy.net/html/power.html?power=teamwork.fortunata_teamwork.fate_sealed&at=arachnos_widow Edit: Tagging the community's resident Arachnos Widow experts: @KaizenSoze, @Bopper, @Booper, @tidge, @Voltak, @Harakh, @Linea, @Gulbasaur Edited September 9 by Glacier Peak 1 I lead weekly Indom Badge Runs / A newer giant monster guide by Glacier Peak / A tour of Pocket D easter eggs! / Arena All-Star Accolade Guide! KaizenSoze
Placate and Taunt are the odd balls of controls. Technically they are controls, but they are not covered by any ATs mez control. There are very few powers that give resists to those two effects. Pretty much only Assault toggles provide resistance. There might be a buff or two, but I don't remember which ones. Them being left out is actually consistent with how they are treated in general. You can always double up on Assault as a VEAT each power is 60% resistance. 1 Night Pixie on Excelsior Introduction to Arachnos Widows - Night/Blood/Fortunata

Yeah, now that you mention it - both Tactical Training: Assault and Leadership Pool: Assault give 60.55% Resistance (Taunt, Placate) respectively to Arachnos Widows. Double up and a player can resist them 100% - great point! Honorbridge
Reminder that resistance to control effects decreases duration by 1/(1+resistance amount) and does not prevent an effect. 100% resistance halves duration.
