MikeSol Posted October 1 Posted October 1 I think I have every other Halloween badge now but I only have 9 / 10 for the Clothes Horse badge for collecting classic ostumes and there are two more badges after this one for even more (!!!). I was in a ToT league for a very long time and I got several levels and all other badges. Are these classic costume badges always this difficult to get or was I just unlucky with the RNG?

lemming Posted October 1 Posted October 1 I have noted RNG is cruel. Last year, a couple chars got the clothes badges very quick, others it seemed like I had to ToT for another hour before being done.

Jacktar Posted October 1 Posted October 1 Seem to remember that to get event drops you need to be wearing any of the costume drops? Not sure if this affects costume badges or not!

(And while having an increase drop rate if wearing a costume would be nice, I don't think that is the case either) 1

Additionally, if you defeat The Abomination while using a Model Replacement Costume Power, you will earn the Tricked Out Badge. Lightslinger Posted October 2 Posted October 2 I did better solo working toward Ostentatious badge than on ToT teams, went much faster earning costumes when it was just me in a mostly empty zone clicking doors.

Are you opening doors, or have you been playing somewhat passively?

I never actually clicked on a single door, I only attacked whatever I saw come out of them. I am now wondering if I had that 9 / 10 when I was doing ToT solo.....

tidge Posted October 2 Posted October 2 I can't recall if the temporary costume powers are reward drops for defeats, but they definitely are treats for clicking on doors. Reward drops are (in my experience) generally less frequent when playing on large teams (as opposed to solo play with large spawn sizes) so if there was no door-clicking I'm not surprised that few costumes were found.
lemming Posted October 2 Posted October 2 Yes, you need to click on the doors as the costumes are a treat. You can also get some via House of Horrors. (Five treats dropped after the Abomination is defeated, plus badge if you were wearing a costume for its defeat) 1
