This is technically a Tanker build!

I have something very interesting to share! It's definitely a Tanker build! A Shield/MA to be exact.

 

Except, you might notice something a little strange about this one. *cryptic music intensifies*

Aaaaah!! I forgot to pick regular powers!

 

So, this is actually a soft necro of this thread, one of the first I made when I discovered HC! Now that I have tons of knowledge, I wanted to give the "Pool Powers Only" concept another shot, with no expenses spared! And, well...

 

This """Tanker""" has softcapped DEF, Hardcapped S/L RES*, Capped Slow RES, Mez Protection**, and 2.6k HP. It also has an additional Oh Shit button in the form of Unrelenting, which puts in a ton of work here. What it doesn't have is a ton of damage or DDR. But it can hit things for what I would amount to "almost as good as Kinetic Melee" levels of DPS.

 

*-With Rune/Melee active plus 1 SMoT proc

**-Clarion or Break Frees needed

 

Anyways, here is me soloing +4x8 Crey with this abomination! There are also some bonus Arachnoid spawns in the end, but that doesn't go nearly as well as the Crey did. I'd call it a success! And we're not going to talk about the fact my recording software cut the video early.

 

 

 

Also, I'd like to give a shout out to @Projector for the inspiration. His "Only Brawl" journey is what got my gears turning for this!

Enflame is a very important part of the build's AoE DMG and would constantly interrupt the Fear!

But seriously, I considered doing an all-pool character on live and never got anywhere with it.  If you enjoy the challenge, that's awesome.

This is mostly just a proof of concept, but honestly it was performing so well on Brainstorm that I might actually make it for real and see how far I can get it!

Doh I was on my phone and looking at the screenshot for mids and missed that the top row of powers got cut off in your screenshot. That makes sense. I will continue to espouse invoke panic where it makes sense in a build though!

Oh, that's interesting. I was pretty sure I cropped it correctly. I will fix it in a moment!

Ya have a taunt power so good enough for me. Seems like a testament to how good MA is on a tank. Clicking the 1-5 powers with your mouse seems like extra work but if it’s how you play then cool. 
 

I made some silly builds but did it on live and should have probably saved time and did test.
