I rabidly chase range bonuses on certain characters. Getting the +25% from sets and +20% from intuition alpha makes a giant difference

I'm now wondering if I had planned on slotting bombardment for the range as well. What this team needs is more Defenders

Heliphyn34u Posted November 21 Posted November 21 Adding a 7th slot would be great for adding in procs without sacrificing the final bonuses from having a full set of 6 in a power, but if adding slots was made possible/available, I'd personally rather be able to earn additional slots for powers I haven't already 6-slotted. Getting one additional slot after 100 post-50 levels, then maybe one more at 250, then one last one at 500 would be awesome! It won't happen, but it would be a fun goal to work toward. I'm not sure how something like that would affect game balance (which is why I don't think it would happen), but there are certainly some ATs that are more slot-starved than others (aka HEATs and VEATs). IF something like that were implemented, it would probably have to be "100 levels from whatever Vet level you are now" so that everyone is starting from the same point at time of implementation. Which, again, won't happen. Regarding KB to KD, I think it would be nice if another Alpha power was added that included that. There are some toons I wouldn't use that on, because sometimes I like having one ST KB power while changing my AoE KBs to KD, but there are others I would absolutely use that on.

The cones get really sweet. even 40' cones cover 60' 60 get 90, more than a typical ST blast. The longer range attacks just reach everywhere. AR/Devices with +45% range is a murder machine.

Sure, but if this is "one more +5% range", then my point is that it is only +5% range... and that these global range bonuses don't do anything to help even out the (generally) short ranges of cones with the typically longer ranged attacks. If the set has a PBAoE nuke, then the range boosts can end up working against the Blaster. Mileage varies of course.

This works but saying this one bonus is unimportant is like telling a Dom this one recharge bonus is unimportant. They all add up and it is almost an art to squeeze them all on and still hit your other build goals. yes, it is just one +5% range. Each journey is made up of single footsteps

It is a dramatic difference…

It has four 70' attacks, five 80' attacks, and one 90' attacks. TheMoneyMaker Posted November 22 Posted November 22 There was always a plan to add more incarnate powers but they never got to develop further. If adding more slots for the benefit of IOs is what's being asked, what about a new incarnate power that's an "Auto" power that has no real effect but can accept IOs of any set. Tier 1 gives you 3 slots and then you get an additional slot for tier 2, 3, and 4. It gives you room to add one whole set of your choice or you can frankenslot it however you like. The enhancements wouldn't apply % bonus to anything, it would be entirely for the added set bonus(es). 1 1
