I've only today stumbled onto the Winter Forest map.  What's it for, exactly?  Also, the P2W vendor hasn't had her name updated (which is why I posted here in Suggestions and Feedback.)

@Super Whatsit

Superbase passcode (Excelsior) is "passcode-6475"

It's all a Nemesis plot.  But not everything is a Nemesis plot!

Honestly, I feel like the bonus zones like this are under-used. It's a great place for launching hero-villain co-op missions and trials, like the Baby New Year and Lady Winter missions, and Lord Winter trial... so why isn't Father Time from the ski chalet present there? It's not like other NPCs standing around aren't also appearing elsewhere in the game at the same time. Everything pertaining to the winter event should be available from the winter forest, including the Candy Keeper.

The Candy Keeper is in the Winter Forest.  I *think* he's next to the gazebo.

Yes, he is. With an Icon surgeon. And an AH contact (Shady Nick) sitting on a box nearby.

And if there were any explores in there, we could go directly there from our SG bases because it also includes a SG portal. It's purpose seems to be a winter/Christmas themed place to hang out.

But no one hangs out there because what's the point?

I don't see players hanging out at the Ski Chalet either. We have the option to though. And as the OP notes, it doesn't seem to be particularly well known. (Edit: It also technically gives us a place to ice skate.)

Celebrating the holiday with friends.

Like the Ski Chalet, it is kind of like the Pocket D.

Long, long ago before what has been called the Sunset, there were huge dance parties in the Pocket D (on some servers ... well maybe mainly Virtue) where players would dance emote on the dance floor, check out other player's character, send tells to each other, and who knows what else ... often while listening to the same online music channel.

Not much of that going on anymore either.

So, yeah, "a cool place to hang out" which gets about as much use as the Paragon Dance Party.

I wasn't sure of this was a co-op zone or not.

I guess most people don't know where it is.

It would be a great place to form up leagues to go to the Winter Realm.

That people could?

If someone posts a reply quoting me and I don't reply, they may be on ignore.

(It seems I'm involved with so much at this point that I may not be able to easily retrieve access to all the notifications)

Some players know that I have them on ignore and are likely to make posts knowing that is the case.

But the fact that I have them on ignore won't stop some of them from bullying and harassing people, because some of them love to do it. There is a group that have banded together to target forum posters they don't like. They think that this behavior is acceptable.

Ignore (in the forums) and /ignore (in-game) are tools to improve your gaming experience. Don't feel bad about using them.

On Everlasting it happens nearly every night from 8pm to Midnite Eastern USA time,  7 nights a week.  Even on holidays.

If you don't see a point to it, don't hang out there - it affects you not at all.

I know my friends and I will tend to go there when it's ... not winter. So I'd be fairly unsurprised if it were fairly dead right now (though the decorations and overall theme is quite nice.)

And yeah. The Chalet certainly gets use, at least on Everlasting. (Heck, it is - or was, might be over now - the location of a 24 hour New Years show just now.)

Sorry, edited my post.  Eastern USA time.  You know, Paragon City, Rhode Island time 😉

I find it a little easier to LRTP to the Winter Forest than to the main Pocket D if I'm heading to the Ski Chalet.

It's also where my Praetorians get the Shop Keeper badge
