Healing Aura: No change needed.

 

Heal Other: Now changes to Heal Over Time if target is already full.

 

Absorb Pain: In addition to current effects, now places a large Absorb shield on both target and caster.

 

Ressurect: Now a PBAoE effect raising all nearby allies, ALSO can be used when defeated as a Self AND Ally Rez.

 

Clear Mind: Now a Targeted AoE effect.

 

Fortitude: Now a Targeted AoE effect.

 

Recovery Aura: Cooldown reduced to 6 minutes.

 

Regeneration Aura: Cooldown reduced to 6 minutes.

 

Adrenalin Boost: Now a PBAoE Aura. No longer buffs Regeneration or Recovery. Cooldown increased to 6 minutes.

How about this instead:

 

Healing Aura: Minor HoT component added.

Heal Other: Cut half value, make it 2/3rds more healing through HoT.

Absorb Pain: Just a massive Absorb instead of a heal.

Resurrect: PBAoE usable while dead.

Clear Mind: Increase duration by 45 seconds.

Fortitude: Targeted AoE Toggle. Provides normal Fortitude to main target, lesser Fortitude to allies within 15ft.

Recovery Aura: No Change

Regeneration Aura: No Change

Adrenaline Boost: No Change

I've lost hope we'll ever do anything with Empathy, but I like the thought. Personally, I'd love to see the RAs combined into a single power and with the open power slot have a Light Servant (basically the opposite of Dark Servant from Dark Miasma).

I can kind of read between the lines with these suggestions, but what do you folks think Empathy isn't doing well today? I see a lot of talk about the set attracting people who aren't interested in the buff powers, tedious upkeep on the single target buffs, and reactive nature of healing being difficult to pull off when things get especially busy. Oh, and big big recharges on the auras. Anything else?

Mostly I think it could get away with just tuning around the Recovery and Regeneration auras... Shorten the recharge, and make the Regen aura last longer.

 

Buffs not being usable on yourself is generally a thing for every non-MM supporter (since they can buff their Henchmen), I don't know how much that should change.

The ONLY change that Empathy needs is with Clear Mind.  Either...

  • Make an AOE, or....
  • Make the buff last longer, or...
  • Shorten the cast and animation time, or....
  • All of the above or any combination of them!  😄  

Everything else is fine with Empathy, imo.

Maybe provide +ToHit bonus and small +Def (especially vs Psionic) for most of this Power Set’s powers? Those will allow Empathy to do some much needed Offense support by making their teammates to concentrate more by word of encouragement / calming aura, and Psionic enemies tend to be aggravating to fight against as very few means existed to dodge them. Power Sets that have lower than average Accuracy would also appreciate the persistant ToHit bonuses.
