Marine Affinity).mbd 47.34 kB · 0 downloads i have played one of these. from what i know you want ALL Water and ALL Marine powers. it is a very strong combo that takes quite a bit of understanding to play well, and even more to know how passively good it is when running everything correctly. deep water.... 1
High_Beam Posted May 13 Posted May 13 I am running a Defender with these sets. I had to make some drop decisions thus Water Jet was dropped because of its inconsistent and underwhelming nature. I also opted out of Hydro Blast, in part because I am getting quality KD from Water Burst and Whitecap and Tide Pool. I also didn't take Shoal Rush because it felt skippable in test and haven't noticed its absence in play (specially with the -DEF of 12.5 that I can fire almost non-stop to keep up (as well as from Dehydrate). I had a theme in mind so I went with Leviathan Mastery for the Coralax summons. But as a Corrupter, the greater damage outlay might make me take Shoal Rush. Its glorious fun to play. I run a Storm Blast?marine Corr, and its awesome fun as well. 2 Girls of Nukem High - Excelsior - Tempus Fabulous, Flattery, Jennifer Chilly, Betty Beatdown, Totally Cali, Two Gun Trixie Babes of War - Excelsior - High Beam (Yay), Di Di Guns, Runeslinger, Munitions Mistress, Tideway, Hard Melody, Blue Aria Many alts and lots of fun. Uun Posted May 14 Posted May 14 You have quite a few powers slotted with 6 procs and no accuracy. Even with Tactics and Kismet +acc, you don't have as much accuracy as you think you do since you have the Gaussian's %bu proc turned on. If you toggle that off, you're well below 95% chance to hit against +3s. Not sure what you're doing with Shifting Tides. The Scourging Blast proc should be slotted in an attack, not a toggle. Accuracy and recharge aren't required. I recommend moving all 3 pieces of Scourging Blast. The Enzyme is doing nothing except providing end reduction ( Shifting Tides has no debuffs). I found that the Gaussian's %bu proc didn't fire often in Shifting Tides. I recommend moving it to Tidal Forces, where it will be almost guaranteed to fire and is a great lead in to Geyser. The HO in Power of the Depths is doing nothing. You're at ED max for healing without it. Swap it for a recharge IO. You have 3 empty slots in Tactics. I would slot 2 Cytos and move the other 2 slots elsewhere. Brine requires accuracy. Slot the Unbreakable Guard +hp piece in Charged Armor or Tough. 1 Uuniverse

What type of content do you plan on? What ratio of support to damage are you looking for? Are you twitchy or slow? Do you want to spam keys or take it easy? What's your budget? People are going to tell you to do this or do that based on their version of playing. But that might not be your version. 1 1

I, for one, need a minimum of 11 pool powers on every corruptor/defender in my spreadsheet (3 Speed/2 Leaping/3 TP/2 Leadership/1 Psy or 2 Soul), so at a minimum 5 powers have to be cut. 3

The Instantaneous Water Jet lost its lockout timer a few pages ago (i27pg6?) so I think these days all you really "need" is Water Jet, Hydro Blast and Dehydrate plus a few filler attacks (like procbombed Shoal Rush or an Epic Blast) e.g. Water Jet [Regular] > Filler > Dehydrate >Hydro Blast > Water Jet [Instant] Depending on your filler blast timings + global recharge you could use Stream Spray in place of Dehydrate or stick another Hydro Blast in front of the Filler attack. 1

IMO, Aqua Blast can be interchangeable with Hydro Blast, depending on the needs of the player, but I wouldn't suggest both. Stream Spray would be a good power in the rotation if the player isn't focusing on maximizing global recharge to fill certain attack chains. Everything else is a great pick in Water Blast on Corruptors. Marine Affinity, same as you say. It's quite a versatile powerset, where a player can focus on one thing (debuffs, buffs, or both) or multiple things well enough to get by. I took every power in the set on my Corruptor as I levelled and haven't respecd out of any... yet. I'm fairly certain I've made some duplicative choices with slotting or some of my procs aren't firing as much as I'd hoped.
