FWIW, the Mids' Reborn developers don't pay attention to the forums much.

It's a known issue that they're trying to fix.  In the meantime, there's a manual database update.  Download it here.  Extract it, and place the Homecoming folder in your Mids' Reborn data folder, overwriting the Homecoming folder and the files within.

The decompression of the database appeared to have failed, but when I restarted it again everything was good.

Well, seems to have Regeneration powers available at the wrong levels.

I tried this. I clearly did something wrong. Do you know if the MIDS team is going to update the regular download? Honestly, I don't play toons without a build so I guess I'll be waiting to try out the new stuff.

Go to the folder, there is a folder inside called data. Open that and you'll see Homecoming and rebirth. Drag the downloaded Homecoming folder in and let it overwrite the existing folder. I just did it and it worked.

Thanks for that. It worked fine.

If you do a few “check for updates” it should be working now.  First you’ll update to the latest version of Mids, then you’ll get either a new boot strapper or a new boot strapper and database, if you don’t get the new database the 2nd time, you’ll need to do an update a 3rd time to get it.

Note: you will likely get an error message the first time you update Mids.

Every so often when Mids seems to have problems updating, I just download a fresh installer from midsreborn.com, manually uninstall the program and run the fresh installer.

It works every time; been doing this since i26. That's what I did this time, worked fine.

Mentioning the build # might help folks know if they got the correct version to then change the database on.

It is awesome that an updated database is available so quick. Folks should be showering whomever with coffee shop gift cards.

I wish this was the case.
